Not what you may expect but this is what stood out to me. Something simple that you may not have noticed but I did notice it. Apparently people did the craft of quilling or paper filigree back then. Not sure if Queen Elizabeth did or was it just her ladies in waiting that participated in this craft. Kind of funny to think that was around so many years ago. There is one scene in which the queen is looking at the quilling picture created and it appeared to be a bit off per the queen's perspective and tells them to burn it. I know a little bit about quilling because I recently started crafting using this manner. Wow, the picture that was created had a lot of detail to it and to have to burn it amazing. It can be tedious work and I get it. I tend to be a perfectionist and I have found myself trying to create a certain design and if it is not hand rolled tight enough with the quilling tool it looks off. I have started a certain object I am trying to create and then either undo it and start again or just try to work with it.
So, I go to see a movie and my take on the movie is the quilling project within the movie that captured my attention. Enough so that I leaned over to my friend and said they are quilling I recently started to learn this. I guess when you have a creative thinking mind things that someone else may not pay attention to seems to draw attention to you. I thought the picture that was created in the movie was pretty detailed. I thought to myself wow that took a lot of time to create that.
I noticed this, this movie at the end did not get hand claps from the audience like "Marry Poppins Returns" did. Oh my, some of the future movie clip previews of movies coming out in the future, all I can say is they are a bit twisted and who in their right mind would actually go and see these films? Remember this saying "garbage in, garbage out." I was happy to see a brief trailer sort of teaser that Downton Abbey is actually made into a movie and that will be coming out in September, 2019.
One more thought, I guess via this movie portrayal it was popular back then that women had red hair coiffure's. So just maybe I am following trending from then, I craft with quilling and also have red hair. Imagine that?
