It is early where I reside and I already baked a pumpkin latte quick bread. While that was in the oven I prepared the pork roast and sauerkraut that was going in the oven next after the bread baked. You may wonder why she is baking/cooking so early today. I am meeting a friend and her mother to see the movie, "Mary Queen of Scots" so I thought be pro-active and make dinner now. All I have to do is make homemade dumplings to go with the sauerkraut. Are you cooking today?
I made the quick bread to give some to my friend to take home and enjoy. This is an interesting flavor, think of pumpkin bread with a coffee flavor blended together. This is not a homemade recipe it was a Williams Sonoma quick bread mix my sister gave to me. I did add a few golden raisin to the batter though.
Now onto my problem solving ok. I felt led by Holy Spirit to get some strawberry scented bath products. I find them way too sweet smelling for my taste. I figured out a way to make the scent a bit more appealing to my nostrils, my sense of smell that is. If you have lemons what do you do with them? Make lemonade. So I combined the strawberry scent with my lemon scent and now I created strawberry lemonade scent that I can handle. Do you like to solve problems. I do but I do not even attempt to tackle them without Holy Spirit help. First thing is you see a problem and it begins to sort of stay in the back of your mind. Then bit by bit with Holy Spirit help the plan to conquer the problems comes into light. Do not ignore it but cease the moment and you will be glad you did. Enjoy today as if it was the last day on earth for you and you will see things in a different light or frame of mind. Have faith and trust in God for He will direct your path and lead you to victory. Do not be proud or stubborn but have a pliable heart in which He can work through you. All things work towards the good for those that believe.
I like to multi task too. While the roast was in the oven I put a load of laundry in the wash and exercised. While exercising I did read a book too. Still waiting on the book I ordered, "God is a Matchmaker" by Derek & Ruth Prince. It is the right time to read a romance story in which God directed it. Great faith builder. I read this book years ago and it touched my heart back then. I feel Holy Spirit stirring me to read it again. I gave it away so I had to order it.
