Do You Believe God Gives Signs, Oh Let's Say To Possibly Where To Attend Church? I Do This Is What Happened To Me.

Well, for me it is easy to attend a church service if you are joined with your friends attending the service. That is easy for there is a comfortable feeling being around people you know. Trepidation is not a concern in that setting. Then there are the times when Holy Spirit draws you out of your comfort zone into a place where you step out in faith and trust in Him completely. That is what I am finding myself doing currently.
As you know I am usually active in marketplace ministry Sunday mornings when most people tend to be in church. I must share this marketplace ministry story with you that just happened yesterday. It appeared that there were grown twin sisters that I came across their path yesterday. I believe they had a challenge of some sort for I was not able to understand what they were trying to talk to me and say. I looked at their caregivers and they did not understand either. It costs you absolutely nothing to extend kindness to others. Far more important than anything else I am going to share with you today ok. To take time and extend kindness does not always cost you something monetary wise but it can cost you spending a few minutes with someone. See, even though I did not understand what they were saying to me I still listened. Get it , the key word is "listened." I truly did listen to them as if I understood the words coming forth. Then it was time for them to go and the one sister gave me the biggest hug good bye. If I could describe this hug I would say it was filled with love if that makes sense. Kindness exudes the love of Jesus to others and they can feel this genuine love in your heart and it causes them to respond back with kindness.
Ok back to the story now. I have viewed this church service several times prior via live streaming and you know how it works don't you. Holy Spirit then compels you to inquire a bit more doesn't He? When I would watch live streaming I would take out my praise instruments and worship right in my home with them. Yes I did. Then I went with friends to a service and experienced it live in person at a venue that is. Holy Spirit wooing me some more. This church is not in the neighborhood I have to plan this one out to get there on time. I used my waze app (I think I use this more now than my gps, I like this free app that you can get on your phone.) I put in the location and followed the directions. It is a simple direction to follow. I am not a big fan of the directions when they become too complicated to get there if you know what I mean. It actually took me to the parking area so I did not have to worry about where I was suppose to park. I like blessings like that and for that I am truly grateful.
There is something about attending a church in which you do not know anyone it is fresh, alive and a new experience. So last weekend praise and worship starts and I stand up for this and I feel a gentle tap on my shoulder and I briefly think to myself no one even knows me here who could be tapping me on the shoulder? The most endearing side by side hug given to me by one of the senior lead pastors of the church with the gentle whisper of these words in my ear, "Glad that you are here worshiping with us." Then they went to the front of the church for the service. I was touched by this kind gesture and even called and shared it with my friend the experience after the church service. I should have asked the fragrance they were wearing for I was not familiar with the scent but it was a lovely scent. Afterward I pondered about this kind gesture of welcome and I do not ever recall in all the years of attending church that I had an experience like this before. Such gentle love came forth from this pastor. Do you know what I am taking about? When someone is sincere you can truly feel the sincerity if that makes sense.
Ok so now it is just yesterday and one of the senior lead pastors is preaching the word of God on the platform and I hear him say a phrase I literally just used in a recent blog of mine. See, I pay attention to details I really do. I am a detail oriented type of person. Hello, I used to do event/wedding planning so that was right up my alley because you truly do have to be attentive and follow through with the customers details they are entrusting to you to follow through with for their event. He is preaching and I hear him say (I jotted it down in my journal), "They may not have all their ducks lined up in a row." See, if you pay attention and listen to Holy Spirit He gets you where you need to be, He truly does. I do no know how long I will be here and I am completely ok with that for Holy Spirit knows what I may not have privy info to in regard to this so I just say ok tell me when and where to show up. If for some reason I cannot make the live service I still can worship via live streaming. I truly love the fact that they have altar calls extending salvation in Jesus. When did church stop preaching about heaven and hell and only telling the happy side of the Gospel and not the whole gospel message? That just baffles me. Isn't that why Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead 3 days later so we could be with Him in heaven for all eternity? As opposed to living in hell for all eternity? You have to invite Him into your heart to be the Lord of your life. You will be elated when you do. You truly will.
One final thought about church yesterday, it was a true joy to receive communion (the eucharist that is) also.
