It Is Amazing How God Brings People Together. Utterly Amazing, Simply Amazing. Let Me Share With You What Happened Yesterday 1/21/2019.

Met a group of friends yesterday for brunch. Actually friends I met when we all worked together at the same place where we were employed. Since then I moved onto working for another organization but we still keep in contact and meet for lunch, dinner or we go places together. Remember I moved to the state in which I reside currently without knowing anyone. I moved in an act of faith as Holy Spirit led me to leave behind family basically. I am most thankful that I took the leap in faith and moved here because I met some wonderful people and great friendships developed.
Thank I God I take pictures that I use for this blog for they sure did come in handy yesterday. I was telling my friends about how my mother received a gift from one of her grandchildren. It was a coffee mug from a restaurant back home that she loved to go to. It is a family owned restaurant and she started going there ever since they first opened years ago. She became friends with the owners. I get my gift of baking and then sharing with friends what I baked from my mom. When there would be birthdays, etc. of the family members of this restaurant she would make them things like chocolate covered Oreos, chocolate covered strawberries. They even enjoyed when she would bring in her homemade nut roll amongst other item too. Well, we were talking and she said she was going to send them the picture of her holding the coffee mug from that restaurant and I then said oh you should make them some of the items you used to make for them when you lived there and would bring to them when you went to the restaurant. It jogged her memory of the particular items they liked and she would bring to them. So 1 simple idea created her to make them some chocolate covered Oreos to send to them along with the pictures taken. Can't send chocolate covered strawberries for they would not last via mailing them. She also had some of her other pastries so she put together a smaller package within the package for the parents.
I know this family and they were most kind. They knew exactly how my mother liked her eggs made and the crispiness of the home fries also. Another thing she always requested was dried toast with hard butter pats from the freezer. The grand kids would know Nana by this and her requesting this item. The restaurant obliged her in this. When they made certain soups the mother would set aside a container for my mother to take with her. True friendship, it is rare when you have a family owned restaurant now a days like this one. Mother is so funny she google searched the restaurant and told me about how they remodeled it and even the parking lot was upgraded. Makes me want to go home for a visit. Even one of my nieces still frequents this restaurant because Nana used to take the grand kids there also. See how some family things you do end up being a family tradition for others in the family. Always have a tender heart and share with your family. Create those memories for they will always be in your heart. One day it is going to a restaurant with Nana and then the next thing you know you are now going to that same restaurant with your children. So needless to say, my mother sent a care package for them to receive in the mail and hopefully it will put great big smiles on their faces when a dear friend from several years ago remembered them and their kindness to her and blesses them though miles apart. Do you see how I am wired? I have this great example set before me in my mother.
Back to the story now, I begin to show my friends the pictures and they comment how good my mother looks for going to be 90 years old, even commented on how she has no wrinkles for her age also. My one friend sitting next to me then tells me she has been to that restaurant. I look at her perplexed like how can that be. Well. one of her children attended a school years ago and they would drive this child to school and they liked to get off of the highway so as to not make a straight trip there. She ate at this very restaurant. Then she proceeded to tell me about a market she would like to shop at also in the downtown area and I knew exactly what she was talking about. I told her that when I was in high school we actually lived across the street from the restaurant she ate at. Isn't that funny? Wait it gets even better...….we are talking some more and I find out she actually went to Medjugorje where I went but she went there a few years before the Bosnian war. We climbed the same mountain imagine that. She shared with my friends how the mountain was not a smooth path to climb up but it was rocks/stony path you climbed on this mountain. Back then there really were not hotels to stay at and you stayed in a families home. She was able to confirm how plain the surroundings were where you stayed at. I had pictures to show of that also and the mountain. It gets even better, she also went to a city in which I went to when I was in the tamburitza group in high school when we travelled there. Also, Split (along the Adriatic Sea, the Adriatic coast is beautiful) that is the city in which I flew into their airport from Rome on my way there for my pilgrimage. I told her my grandfather did not live too far away from that region and how he came to the USA at a young age. It really was a stony ground region. If I am not mistaken my grandfather had to tend the sheep in these stony ground type of mountains and he wanted a better life than that and he came to the USA by himself. See my aunt tells me I have that sense of adventure in me like my grandfather had. So my grandfather was a shepherd in the old country? Amazing it is good to learn your heritage.
That was my blessing of the day what a small world. She told me now she knew why she was drawn to me when we worked on the same team together. My little part in blessing yesterday, I was able to use my discount for my friends when they paid their bills and also apply the discount to their purchases. God is good, God is great, God is faithful. Do you agree that it was divine destiny for me to move to this very region?. When I applied for the job that brought me here I also applied at several other locations throughout the USA and this is the one that hired me. Praise God from whom all blessings flow do you agree? I know there is more for me in this region so let's see what God brings forth. He is creative and loves to bless His children with His blessings He bestows upon us do you agree?
Oh one more final thought, if you ever get to this region you really must visit Dubrovnik, it is so beautiful.
