Today Is The Day I Have Been Preparing For.

I have been busy preparing to receive a few guests. Yesterday I made the Chocolate Andes Mint Cheesecake. Just need to put the finishing touch decorations on it. You take Andes Mints and cut on a diagonal then place them on top of the cheesecake. It makes a pretty presentation.

Created a floral arrangement in a vase and snipped off a few flowers & fresh eucalyptus and made a small one for the guest bathroom. Cookies are ready to be arranged on a serving dish. Breaded the pork cutlets so I can make them today. Made the Sour Cream Creamy Cheddar Macaroni Salad. Just need to make the angel hair coleslaw with vinegar & oil dressing for tonight. The sun dried tomato dip turned out nicely. I did buy some Texas Gulf raw shrimp. I boiled it and peeled and deveined it too. I am particular about some things when it comes to shrimp.   Most people devein only 1 side of the shrimp, I devein both sides. Did you know the other side has this pink colored stuff so I like to take that out too. I do not know what it is but I do remove it. I think they will go nicely with sauerkraut balls I made and serve with cocktail sauce. Oh, I also made the family recipe for horseradish sauce. Gifts are ready to give and each one will receive a hand crafted Christmas card from me. Swept off my patio because I like organization not just inside but outside too.

Dropped off a Christmas gift to neighbors and we visited some. I want them to meet my family while they are in town so I invited them to come visit. They gifted me with a lovely Christmas gift. When I complain to God how I want to get out of this region He then shows me the kindness of friends I would have never met if I didn't live here. Isn't that interesting how He turns it around on me? I am asking Him to get me out of here and He shows me why I am strategically placed where I am. To God be the glory.
