Night 7 Of Chanukah Was Lovely.

Last night was the night my percussion instruments came out to worship Jesus. Candle burning, prayer shawl on, music playing. When I burn the candle, all other lights are off in my abode, just the beautiful glow of a single candle. Light emanating from the glow of a single candle bursting forth in the midst of darkness. I beleive that is what we are supposed to do as Christians, take the light of Christ with us wherever we go. Just not to places in which it is expected of us, like church or small group gatherings right?

In your car, to work, to recreational sports, dinner, etc. get the point. If Jesus did not take His loving kindness everywhere He went we would not have hope in Him when we die and go to either heaven or hell for all eternity (Of course the choice is what you choose to make while you are still living on earth. Too late to change your mind once you draw your last breath here on earth. Choose wisely for the eternity in which you will live. Is it heaven or hell, eternity is a very long time to live that very life?) I can only guess but do you think He took that very loving kindness to sinning church leader? My answer is yes, He did. If He was confronted by the religious leaders that wanted to stone to death the woman caught in adultery but not bring forth the man, she was caught in adultery with what do you think? It takes 2 to commit adultery, doesn't it? Why did the religious leaders only want to point the finger at the woman and let the man get away with it? It could also go the reverse today, why point fingers at the man when the woman also shares the consequences of cheating? Why am I on this subject today? A repentant heart of a sinner is washed clean by the blood of Jesus except for man that wants to keep bringing up the already cleansed man's sins before him so to speak. Let it go and quit judging others.

I find it rather interesting in this account in the bible. None of us knows what Jesus wrote in the sand but whatever it was caused the religious accusers to back away. I am in a positive attitude mode today so I would like to think He wrote something to this effect:  Her sins have been forgiven and so have yours also. Sounds good to me. He loves all, yes even the sinners along with the lovely too. Put your blame stones and pointing fingers aside today and just love others as Jesus showed us to love ok. You don't always have to have the last word and be right all the time. Being a know-it-all can possibly cost you things in your very life, do you need that right now? Cover their sin with grace and forgiveness. Yes, even those that deeply hurt or lied to you in your very life.

While reading Ed Silvoso's book, "Women: God's Secret Weapon" he shared a little exercise with the readers. Let me share it with you all because it makes total sense to the believers. Here is a prayer excerpt from his book, seriously consider praying this very prayer.

"Father God, I thank you for the grace that Jesus Christ bestowed on me when He died. I also thank You that such grace was intended not just for me but for everybody else. It forgave my sins as well as their sins.

Please allow that grace to touch every person who has touched me with evil intent and everyone who has sinned against me. Let it be known in heaven and on earth that as of this moment they are forgiven by the same grace by which I was forgiven.

Father, I also ask You to bless them, I ask You to restore and to prosper them. I pray for them every blessing I have ever prayed for myself. I set them free, and in doing so I set myself free by the same grace. In the name of Jesus our Lord I pray, Amen."

I think this concludes night 7 with one more final act. Listen to this beautiful song Holy Spirit chose as the "repeat" mode song to play last night while the candle burned ever so brightly. "Light That Never Fades" sung by Blanca & Unspoken.
