Legacy is something one chooses to cultivate in the presence of God, with God & through God guiding your hands, feet, steps in faith and words spoken through you. Do you have a heart for others-that is Jesus' heart of compassion in you & flowing thru you to reach those that need compassion bestowed upon them.
Weeks ago I felt led to bless a young woman with not just a gift but to bestow upon her a legacy edition bible I purchased in I believe it was Christmas of 2018-Pastor Jentezen Franklin's signed copy for me. I think it was $100.00 the cost @ the time. I was visiting in GA & went to Free Chapel for the service. That was the home church I attended when I lived in GA. I had an assignment that evening: Purchase the special edition bible & get it signed by Pastor Franklin.
I knew 1 thing keep this bible in tact in it's box & save it for 1 day it would be a gift given to someone special. Sweet, sweet Rachel was going to go to college in that area so I wrote her a congratulations card & shared with her that this is a special bible & I know Free Chapel is a safe church to attend & the word of God is preached there. I come to find out later that not just Rachel-but also their family attends this church.
I remember the very first time I walked into the foyer & i felt the presence of God & I heard the words "it feels like home to me." Pastor Franklin preaches the word of God-no soft, mamby pamby words either. He preaches the full word of God.
Are you seeing the picture here. I am raised and sat under ministers, including my pastor in Ohio, Pastor Kayatin that only preached the unadulterated word of God-so this woman of God only sits under ministers that preach the true word of God. Maybe that is why @ times I get annoyed or frustrated with preachers that are veering off here & there & not sticking to the "WORD OF GOD."
A few days ago there was a day that I cried off & on & prayed for Joni Lamb & her family when they were experiencing the husband, father, grandfather going home to be with Jesus. My heart ached for them & how they had memories to cherish in their hearts but on this side of heaven not being able to see Marcus smile & laugh with them or bless them with words of love & kindness until ... one day we will all be together in heaven rejoicing with Jesus. The song I am hearing now: when we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing it will be ...we'll sing & shout the victory.
Well, it is now time for me to get up & get ready for work-I am blessed to be a blessing to bless others.
Don't count the $'s in your bank account today for if you base your life's work/worth on that not so good. I believe I have a little over $2.00 in my checking account today but payday is around the corner. Did I go & see & speak & hear the voice of Holy Spirit when He said to go & spend $ here & there to bless others. I did & I will continue to do so in Jesus name I pray.
1 more sweet thought about Free Chapel. There is Joe, one of the ushers. Anytime I would enter the sanctuary I always felt led to sit in the main section & I would ask Joe if there was a seat for me. If there was 1 he placed me in that seat to not only worship but receive the word of God. When I was in GA I knew that was the place I was supposed to be. What for is my purpose in TN for I still have not found a church home-in God's timing-it is all in His timing. Amen Amen Amen.
Let's make pancakes with orange flavoring & fresh blackberries in the pancakes today. Gotta go & fix breakfast.
