I actually went into the office yesterday to catch up on things I have to do while teleworking. I was already dressed for the day with make up on, jewelry. I started sensing in my spirit to go to The Highway 24 Revival/Awakening meeting that night. I kept sensing one of my favorite worship persons was going to be ministering, I did not know this as a fact but sensed it. So, I am heading to church and felt led to play "The Blessing Song" by Kari Jobe & Cody Carnes. See how Holy Spirit is setting up this fun adventure already.
Debbie led worship and she truly knows how to enter into the presence of God, that is who I was sensing would be leading worship before I even got to church. Imagine that! I love the true freedom I have @ Munday & Jennifer's Awakening meetings when it comes to worship. There was a moment when Jennifer was overwhelmed with the presence of God and her love for Jesus and began to cry. It was touching and tender to me because I have been there before. Just the other day on my Atlanta journey I would cry in the car because of how well Jesus takes care of me. I had for many weeks that very loud noise inside my car. It is fixed and now I am having a smooth ride in the car. A brand new windshield too. Can you tell why tears begin to come forth in my eyes as I am driving & thanking Jesus? See, there are time when Jesus and I have a talk and in those moments I often say to Him ... Only He takes such good care of me. No woman, man or even children could take such good care of me. They did not die a cruel, painful death on the cross for me it was Jesus that did that just for me. Yes, it is good to have help and love from those that you allow to surround you but do not fully put your trust in them put that trust in Jesus ok. For it was His death, burial and glorious resurrection that allows you to ask Him to come into your life; cleanse away all your sins; and be with Him in heaven for all eternity. The only thing is He will not force this upon you, you have to make the choice to invite Him into your heart. When He was on the cross there were 2 thieves, one on each side of Him. One had a cold heart and the other had a repentant heart and asked Jesus to forgive Him of his sins. Guess what? He told the repentant sinner that that very day he would be with Him in paradise (heaven.) He is the same yesterday, today and forever. So, if He did it back then He will also do the same for you today. Go ahead and invite Jesus into your heart.
I felt led after the offering portion to head to the foyer where they serve the food to those that attend these gatherings. There is the other Debbie with a hue heart to serve others. I check and see what is here to take to my neighbors to bless them. Oh my gosh, it was jackpot night for them. There is something that happens to me when I step behind that table. This anointing comes upon me and I truly come alive and want to bless others with the distribution of the goods. Ciabatta rolls for this family; Rice Krispy treats along with mini cupcakes for another. What about the pumpkin spice muffins for them too, oh biscuits also. I noticed 2 round breads in a bag and inquire. Oh, Panera asiago bread, hey 1 of my neighbors loves that very bread. Set that side for her. Wow, The Fresh Market Pumpkin Roll; Panera Cinnamon rolls too. Those were the items that popped out at me. Glad to report all the goods were distributed last night. The bread and cinnamon rolls to 1 neighbor and 2 more cinnamon rolls and the pumpkin roll to another neighbor. They know I go to church and I tell them look what I found for them. When they say thank you I tell them to thank Jesus. Something as simple as that, desserts and bread given with the love of Jesus reaching out. See, Debbie prays over the food before it even leaves the church and into the hands of the receiver. I laugh with her about how can there be an anointing to distribute dessert & bread. I cannot explain it I can only share that I really come alive when I function in this capacity. I shared with a dad last night how I like to bake and give it away. He asked if I bake sugar free stuff I replied no I use butter and sugar. Do You think Holy Spirit wants to stretch me a bit to bake a sugar free dessert and then bring it for his family 1 day?
Needless to say, I came home, distributed the goods and was on Cloud 9 so to speak. Yes, Jesus cares about even the distribution of baked goods to people given with the love of Jesus in your heart. I gave it all away but that's ok I still have some Greek Butter cookies in the freezer. I have a friend in Dunwoody that I stopped to see heading home the other day. She owns a Greek Pastry shop and these cookies are my favorite. Received a big hug from my friend and visited a bit too. She puts the type of cookie, the Greek name on the label. I think I am going to see if I can find a recipe to make these cookies and give it a try if it is not a overly complicated recipe, what do you think? She shared that they were getting ready for the Greek festival this weekend in Cummings, GA. She is next to a large Baptist church @ her bakery location and I inquired if the church orders things from her. She said yes and that she also donates to the church too. She wanted to give me a blessing spanakopita for my mother, from her, but I graciously declined because I was not heading to see my mom at that point, I was heading back home. Guess what? My Croatian cook book is pretty well used so my mom also gave me hers that is the same but better condition. I happened to look through it today and oh my gosh, the Greek Butter cookie recipe is in that cook book. My mom must have made apple pita a lot because she has the page notated in the front of the cook book and she marked the recipe as excellent or something to that effect. Don't you love hidden surprises like that, I do.
My mother sent me home with a few items she was not taking with her to her new apartment. One of the items was a CD of Lion King and I listened to it on the way to work yesterday. I feel led to share 2 songs with you, "Circle of Life." & "Can You Feel The Love Tonight." Oh, remember how I was listening to a certain song on the way to church last night. Well, Debbie sang that song as part of worship, Imagine that!!! My mom also gave me a circus animal shapes waffle iron. Tried that out yesterday morning I just do not think I get the hang of using this waffle machine. I am pretty good with making Belgian waffles but with this waffle maker I tried 4 times and 2 times I burned the waffles and had to discard them.
