No sooner did I write about the subject I wrote about earlier today and this very evening I faced reality that someone that was near and dear to me is now in heaven walking on the streets of gold. This person was a true woman of God that had immeasurable faith in God. Let me share with you what happened today after I wrote this morning. I began to get ready for work at approximately 11:35 AM and while I was getting ready I began to cry and I sensed that she was with God. The tears I cried were for my sadness of missing her on earth but I knew she was with Jesus in heaven. I was OK and then it happened to me again a second time, I cried and the same sense came inside of me, sad that she was gone but happy that she was with Jesus. I left for work and I received a text from my son letting me know she died. I received the text a little past 1 PM. It comes to be that she died a bit before 12:30PM. Before I knew the time I texted back my son and told him I knew it and shared with him what happened to me earlier. I believe my last words were to the effect God does speak to people.
As much as we rejoice in knowing a Christian is in heaven when they breathe their last breath there still is a bit of sadness inside of you because you love this person and you will miss them dearly. I know she is now a part of the cloud of witnesses cheering us and me on now, but I still grieve and ache for the loss of a dear person that we deeply loved and she loved us back. She adored my children and they loved her also. My mind is saying she is in heaven but my heart is saying I want to hug her again and tell her how much we love her. I just saw her a little over a week ago and I was able to tell her all of those things then.
Now, if you know anything about me by now you know that I will see the sunshine in this story. Indeed I do because I may be blessed to see my daughter in the next few days. A visit that was not planned per say. Another opportunity to wrap my arms around her and tell her how much I love her. I think I did tell you before that she always has and still does give me the bestest (I know it is probably not a proper word but that is how I feel) bear hugs when she hugs me. If you have children go and hug them now or if it is not possible to do it this very minute then give them really big hugs the next opportunity you have OK. Even a brief text message telling them you love them and that they are the best thing that ever happened in your life, the very day they were born into your family. If they are already asleep now, what a wonderful surprise it would be for them to wake up and see that text message awaiting them to start off their day.

Today I Write Of Something Of A Serious Nature. Something That Needs To Be Shared.
There is someone that is near and dear to me that rests in a hospice house and it could be a matter of days when they will be in the presence of the Lord in heaven. I will write on a subject today that maybe you are afraid of or possibly may fear it yourself sometime in your life. I can write about this because I walked this road before and I can tell you that it truly is a blessing to those that choose to do this and live on when a person that is near and dear to you dies and goes to be with the Lord. Please notice that I said "goes to be with the Lord." Not everyone that dies goes to heaven there will be people that die and their final demise is to go to hell for eternity. They are not forced to go there they just chose to not accept Jesus into their heart when the gospel message was preached to them or an evangelist came across their path, etc. Before I go any further in writing lets pause a moment and let me give you the opportunity to know that when you die you can be assured that you will be in heaven forever. Did you know that salvation is a gift freely given to you and you do not have to pay anything for it? Jesus came to earth and was born of a virgin. He suffered and died upon the cross and on the third day he rose from the dead. The Jesus I am speaking of is alive this very day he is not in a grave somewhere like other leaders of other denominations. Jesus took on the sins of the world when he was beaten and mocked and spit upon . He did all of that and endured all of that for you and me. That is love, that truly is love. Would you like to be introduced to this Jesus? Just say this simple prayer with me. "Jesus, I am a sinner. I confess my sins to you and I ask you to forgive me and wash me clean with the blood that you shed for me leading up to and to the very end when you died on the cross. I believe that you died and rose from the dead. It is by the work that you did on the cross and your resurrection that allows me to be with you in heaven when I die or if you should come to claim your people before that time. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life and teach me your ways and let me learn about you through reading the bible. I thank you for saving me this very day and for doing all of the work to allow me this opportunity to be saved and born again and not have to perish in hell for eternity. Let me be a shining example among my family and peers of the saving grace of salvation and let me be a witness to others of how you picked me up and changed my life around so they can have and experience this very freedom in you Jesus. In Jesus name I pray. Amen." If you prayed this prayer and you would like further prayer I will have a link to a great church that reaches out to the hurting and there will be someone that I am sure will pray with you.
Several years ago my father was diagnosed with kidney failure. It was presented to him that if he continued on with dialysis his quality of life would never improve it would only prolong his life. He had a choice to make. He could continue on with his life via dialysis and no improvement of quality of life, but he would have life. The other option being he could choose to not continue with dialysis and he knew that with that decision it would be approximately a week to 10 days that he would die. He chose the later and he was then admitted to a hospice house. I will tell you this. From the moment he made the decision and left the hospital setting and entered the hospice setting an incredible peace came over him. The agitation and unrest that he experienced in the hospital was now peace and rest at the hospice house.
He did not live the expected time he was told. He entered the hospice house on a Thursday and he went to be with the Lord early Sunday morning. I received a call from them telling me to come in his breathing changed but not to rush. I was an hours drive away. No sooner did I hang up the phone and I received a phone call 5 minutes or so later telling me that he died.
Let me share my experience with you about hospice house so you can have your fears taken away from you. Not only was it a beautiful surrounding it is the manner in which they take care of your loved one that makes all of the difference. At this time in my life I was making banners and I had a particular one that was navy blue and I used burgundy crushed velvet to create a cross and droplets of blood that came from the cross with these words "I Shed My Blood For you." I followed the prompting of Holy Spirit to hang this banner on the wall of his room. There was already a nail in the wall where it was to hang. I had fears of staying a night in a hospice house because death seems to be evident and it is all around you if that makes sense. I had to overcome this fear and I chose to sit with my father the Friday night before he died on Sunday. I would never go back and undo those precious moments I had with him. They had a tape recorder in the room and Holy Spirit prompted me to play gentle praise/worship music in the background. I did because that is what he will be doing in heaven praising God for all of eternity.
It may have been 2AM or 3AM when a nurse came in the room to feed my father some sherbet or something like that. She looked at me and said "I think he would much rather like it if you fed it to him." I did. It can get a bit eerie at night at the hospice house. Reality is that there are people that come there to be comforted in their end days so you will see the reality of death there. I remembered looking out into the hall and there went a body bag past the room of someone that was probably being delivered to a funeral home or wherever it was to go. I couldn't think about myself at that point because I was there for my father. Think of it like this...when a person is diagnosed with a disease and they only have so much time left in their life to live I can only imagine that they may have questions about death and probably fear about it too. Look beyond your comfort zone and reach out with love to those you love and try to bring comfort and peace to their remaining life. Not only will you bless them you will find that your life has been blessed also. Yes, it may be uncomfortable but God brought you there for a purpose and reason.
In the few short days that I was there I met a woman that I led to Jesus after my father died. I met a young child that had a large tumor that bulged out of their eye area. This child was in a wheel chair and this child blessed me so. At the time I carried a variety of percussion instruments with me in the car for praise and worship at church. I wanted to let this child be blessed with creating music in their last days if that makes sense. I asked permission first to see if I could let this child pick out an instrument to keep and I was told yes. I followed through. If I recollect it I think they selected a small drum of some sort. My father died in early October and when I went back after Christmas I was told this child died a bit before Christmas. That just tore my heart to see a child so sick. I know that children go to heaven if they are of an age that they are not held accountable yet when they die. I will see this child in heaven one day.
I was taught that even if a person is in a coma they can still hear you, that hearing is the last sense to go. So be careful of the words you speak when you are in their presence. Speak loving words when you are with them. It is OK to ask them to forgive you if you need to do that and tell them that you love them. Thank them for loving you and for providing for you or whatever. Think about this, say things that you may want to hear yourself if you were in the reverse situation. Don't slam them with hateful words but embrace them with kind and loving words. Does that make sense? I was also taught that even though they are in a coma you can still offer the plan of salvation to them. At this point speak to them and tell them that you know they can still hear you and let them know that they can still ask Jesus to forgive their sins and ask him into their heart. Until the last breath is breathed by them they have an opportunity to receive Jesus and make things right in their life if things need to be made right. Speak into their ears and lead them to Jesus. I conclude with this...it is a honor and privilege to minister to a person that is born again because it will probably be the closest thing to touching glory on earth. What do I mean by that? That very person as they take their last breath of life on earth will then be escorted by angels to heaven. You had the opportunity to bless a person that will be with Jesus walking on the streets of glory. You may have been given the opportunity to be the last person on earth to embrace them with your love or give them a gentle kiss just before they are received into the arms of Jesus in heaven. Pretty awesome when you think of it like that right? The bible states in 2 Corinthians 1-10 ::We know that if the life we live here on earth is ever taken down like a tent, we still have a building from God. It is an eternal house in heaven that isn't made by human hands. In our present tent-like existence we sigh, since we long to put on the house we will have in heaven. After we have put it on, we won't be naked. While we are in this tent, we sigh. We feel distressed because we don't want to take off the tent, but we do want to put on the eternal house. Then eternal life will put an end to our mortal existence. God has prepared us for this and has given us his Spirit to guarantee it. So we are always confident. We know that as long as we are living in these bodies, we are living away from the Lord. Indeed, our lives are guided by faith, not by sight. We are confident and prefer to live away from this body and to live with the Lord. Whether we live in the body or move out of it, our goal is to be pleasing to him. All of us must appear in front of Christ's judgment seat. Then all people will receive what they deserve for the good or evil they have done while living in their bodies."

WOW What An Awesome Day
Let me share with you the ending of my day today. When I wrote earlier today I shared with you that I sought the Lord and He spoke to my spirit. The words I wrote down and took with me to remind me at work are these: LIVE IN PEACE TODAY. That is exactly what I did today. I also prayed for the power of Holy Spirit today. Be careful of what you pray for because it will come to pass if you are sincere in your prayer and you are serious in operating in it. I had three opportunities to operate in His power today and I did. The only way I can explain it is there was this feeling inside of me (a welling up per say) as I began a conversation with a person two-three times. I knew it was Holy Spirit because it kept getting stronger and stronger near the close of the conversation. He led me as if He hand fed me the words and questions to ask. On two occasion I had the distinct pleasure and honor to pray with people. If you choose to listen in-between a persons words in a conversation you can hear pain and concerns in that persons life. It can be a bit uncomfortable at first when you are stretching your faith to ask questions and to step outside of your comfort zone. I will tell you this that God is ALWAYS faithful and the next thing you know Holy Spirit touched the heart of that person and the door is open for prayer. I prayed with a concerned mother and I was able to agree with her prayer because I am a mother also and one can put 1,000 to flight and two can put 10,000 to flight. Another conversation was to encourage another in the faith. The third conversation allowed me the opportunity to pray for a person that was considering adoption. Each time that welling up inside of me would happen at the start of the conversation and it continued to grow throughout the conversation. That is how I knew to ask the questions I asked.
I prayed for the power of the Holy Spirit and He manifested. Now, please do not misread my words. It was not the power that I am rejoicing in it is the opportunity to touch people that needed help in one way or another this very day. Now, did you reach out to someone today with that beautiful smile of yours or make a phone call or send an encouraging note to someone? I know you can do it. Remember, there is that great cloud of witnesses in heaven cheering you on to VICTORY. I found myself striking up conversations with people today in which I will meet them in heaven one day.

I Just Learned A Valuable Lesson Today
Sometimes you are placed in situations in which you may not understand why you are there. I experienced this and I will share with you what I learned out of this. Sometimes your gift of discerning of spirits kicks in when you are in a situation. When this happens you need to be very sensitive to the prompting of Holy Spirit. Sometimes what you have seen may not necessarily be what you are thinking it is but it may be that you are shown something to possibly help fight off or cut off something that may happen. Does that make sense?
I took an in-depth class several years ago on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. I went and pulled my notes and syllabus out on the teaching of Discerning of Spirits. Discerning of spirits is one of the three revelation gifts, along with word of knowledge(a word that is past or current in a persons life or situation), and word of wisdom (a word that is future.) The "definition of discerning of spirits gives supernatural insight into the spirit world, both in the good and the bad." The definition of discern in the dictionary states: "to detect or perceive with the eye or mind." A word in the thesaurus that can be used to reference discern is detect. My notes reflect that not only are you seeing and hearing into the realm of spirits but judging whether they are Godly or satanic. Discerning of spirits can cause a person operating in this gift to see angels. The more you operate in this gift you are more prevalent to see. Only twice in my life did I experience seeing angels in the spirit realm, that is, angels from God. One was at the side of my bed one evening when I was going through my divorce. I remember seeing the most beautiful shade of creamy white as the color of the wings. The presence of this angel was very comforting to me and brought peace to me. It was as if I was in a twilight type of sleep when this happened to me. The other instance was when my son was having an MRI done on him to to focus in on a tumor that was going to be removed by surgery. His father and I were allowed to sit in the procedure room with him while they did the MRI. I was sitting in a chair with my bible on my lap. I looked up and it was as if there was a mistiness in the room and right there before my very eyes was a huge angel watching over my baby (he was not a baby at the time he was in grade school I use this word as an endearing term.) My son was in the MRI and his head was outside of the machine since they were focusing in on his ankle area. This angel stood as tall as the ceiling and each one of his legs were on either side of his head and this angel stood upright with his arms folded. It was a very serious stance and I knew this angel meant business. When I saw this I knew that God sent this one to protect my son and I just knew that everything would be OK and in the end everything was just that, OK.
Maybe I am reading about this gift again because I keep asking God to show me the host of angels that really are out there on our side the winning side. I know this gift does operate in me when I am doing a deliverance because it reveals the spirit behind a manifestation also. When Paul encountered this in Acts 16:16-18 he discerned the spirit in operation and spoke directly to it. Did you know that you are not addressing the person per say it is the spirit that is operating in them. So do not go around binding people so to speak it is the spirit that needs to be bound up."One day when we were going to the place of prayer, a female servant met us. She was possessed by an evil spirit that told fortunes. She made a lot of money for her owners by telling fortunes. She used to follow Paul and shout, "These men are servants of the Most High God. They're telling you how you can be saved." She kept doing this for many days. Paul became annoyed, turned to the evil spirit, and said, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!" As Paul said this, the evil spirit left her."
Now I am going to share a paragraph with you out of my notes/syllabus.
"The word of God teaches us that we are to be led by the Spirit of God. When we are in the word and being led by the Spirit of God, you will discern when something is out of order even if you are not operating by the discernment of spirits. As we walk in the word and the inward witness of the Holy Spirit, our spirit will witness when things are not right. This witness of the Holy Spirit has been known to open the eyes of people into the spirit realm that had never seen in there before. The inward witness is not the same as seeing into the spirit realm, but it can reveal-discern-the spirit that is in operation without a vision, much like Paul's ability to identify the spirit operating in the life of the girl that followed him."
Back to the lesson I learned today. What I was shown may not have been necessarily what I thought. I may have been able to see what could have happened and Holy Spirit gave me a plan of action in which I followed His lead and hopefully it thwarted the plan of the enemy. I felt convicted today because I shared what I thought happened with another and it may have not happened. I asked forgiveness of the Lord and I repented and I then prayed for these people. I also asked forgiveness of the innocent person that I dumped that information on without them even asking me to do that. Be careful of what you want to share with others because it may not be for the good of others and it may be used by the enemy to stop you from operating in destiny in your life. I can gladly say that I put this one to rest for good.
Want to hear something really good that happened today? I was down to four days left on a medicine I take and my Dr. so graciously gave me enough samples to tide me over until I can get into his office for my checkup. That is God because there was a time when I asked for samples and they had none to give at that time. Keep looking for the blessings, they are all around you OK. Once you find them do not forget to share your story with others to bring glory to God.

That is God because there was a time when I asked for samples and they had none to give at that time. Keep looking for the blessings, they are all around you OK. Once you find them do not forget to share your story with others to bring glory to God.
My Faith Was Put To The Test Yesterday. Guess What? God Was Faithful.
What a day I had yesterday. I suppose I should back this up a bit and explain that the night before I felt that nudge by Holy Spirit to go visit someone at a nursing home. I had limited gasoline and I knew if I went that night I may not have gasoline for yesterday to get to work. Pretty big dilemma for me. You may not think that it is but for me it was a big deal. I knew that I was called the other night and God has always been faithful to meet my needs when He calls me to do something for Him. As I drove home the other night I knew I encountered a divine appointment. I came home and said I would deal with the rest the next day.
I discovered that I did not have enough money to purchase gasoline yesterday to get me to and from work. I literally got on my knees three times that day and asked God to help me. I needed to get to work or I would not get paid because it is a straight commission job. I will share later that I had another divine appointment to attend to that day also. I called friends of mine to see if I could borrow $10.00 until Friday, I figured it would get me some gasoline right? When I arrived at their house they told me they had a different idea. They took me to a local gas station and blessed me with filling up my tank with gasoline. Now, you need to know earlier in the day that the Lord told me to trust Him. I began to question Him with my thoughts of how come the disciples got to pull a fish out of the water and there was a coin in its mouth why can't I. I usually don't doubt but I do ask questions.
I am still in awe of that simple act of faith in me seeking to borrow money and there was a blessing in the asking.
Later on I was able to use that blessing story/testimony with an elderly lady that asked me to pray for her. I do believe that Holy Spirit set that one up to be able to testify to another that was seeking God's help in their life. Now that is what amazes me. When I prayed with this woman I could truly believe for her that God would send someone to her to help her because I experienced it. She asked me to pray for her and her daughter on my way home. I did. All I can say to that is God Is FAITHFUL. Amen.
Let me add this, sometimes I have to let pride go right out the window if you know what I mean.

Faith
I woke up today from a dream I had and as I was seeking the interpretation, Holy Spirit brought to my memory the time when I was a cheerleader for the boy's basketball team. Then a cheer came to my mind it went something like this:
V-I-C-T-O-R-Y THAT'S THE VICTORY BATTLE CRY. I think we formed a "V" on the basketball court when we did this cheer.
Most recently, I had a conversation with a young man that is an avid basketball fan. He told me that I would make a great basketball fan for our Cleveland Cavaliers because I always have such a positive attitude. I said to him that I do not know anything about basketball. He assured me that it is not hard to learn. I questioned him as to how I would be a great fan when I knew nothing about basketball. Again, he told me that a team needs people that are positive and encouraging and that is what I am and they would be lucky to have someone like me on their side as a fan. I chuckled at him saying that.
I was then reminded of Hebrews 11. This is one of my favorite chapters in the bible. I have always been taught that it is the chapter on faith. In my God's Word translation of the bible it has this as the heading of this chapter Faith Directed People's Lives. I went through this chapter once and counted the number of times it mentions the word "faith." It was mentioned 28 times in one chapter. I think that we should take a moment to listen to what it is saying since it was mentioned 28 times. The definition of faith is: confident belief; trust; belief in God; loyalty; allegiance. The people referenced in this chapter are now a part of the great Cloud of Witnesses that went before us.
This is the lesson in all of this...if you do not have a personal cheerleader in your life to cheer you onto victory then don't be afraid to call upon that cloud of witnesses that went before you and have them cheer you onto your victory. Pick up the bible and read about them and what they experienced. They saw and experienced a lot in their lifetime and I do believe that they are standing at the edge of heaven just in amazement of what is taking place here on the earth and they are saying "Go get it go achieve what you have been called to achieve." Just imagine this with me, if we could listen to them in the spirit realm it would be as if we could hear them cheering you on. People cheer loudly at sporting events right? It really is OK to cheer someone onto victory by not shouting at them but with words of encouragement.
Be encouraged this day. I am sure there is someone that may come across your path today that can use a bit of encouragement. Step out in faith and be a blessing to that person and encourage them. It does not have to be some profound big thing, remember, it can be something as simple as extending a smile to a person that may be hurting inside. Or it may be something that is very pronounced and that is OK too. When Holy Spirit directs your steps He will provide for you what is needed in that very moment or encounter. Step out in faith today. It is a very great place to live and it is fun and it can be "cutting edge" at times also. I know that the God I serve is always faithful. Look at all of those that went before us in faith in the bible. If they can do it, surely you can also.

Went Walking Today. Saw Two Eagles Perched, There Is Meaning Behind This.
When I walked this morning I saw two eagles perched in their tree. Holy Spirit reminded me of the scripture verse that one can put a thousand to flight and two can put ten thousand to flight. It is very important to know who you are praying with. If you are praying with a person that does not have faith enough for you to attain what you are seeking then I advise you to discontinue praying with them. Look into their life and see if the fruits of the Holy Spirit are flowing in them. You do not need to search very hard it will be evident just by your observation of how they live their life. Do they walk by faith or is it by sight. People with visions given to them by God tend to walk by faith. I am not saying to never pray with that person, what I am saying is to seek another with like faith when it comes to the really big things. You do not want your vision or dream snatched away from you because the person did not have faith big enough to allow your faith to manifest. Does that make sense?
Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, this was a man that had vision and fought for God's vision.

I could not let this day end without me walking in the dense fog again.

What a glorious day. I know there is devastation all around in Haiti but we are called to encourage each other also. That is what I am going to do today. I went for another walk this afternoon in the dense fog and it was fabulous. It really was. Again, as I wrote earlier about the distance you are able to see in the fog is somewhat limited. This time I was able to hear a train or two going by I could only hear it and not see it in the distance. As I was walking I truly enjoyed breathing in the fresh air. This air was different than a cold, winter day air we breathe in. I kept trying to think what I could compare it to. I realized it is like walking into your child's room when the cool mist vaporizer is running. When I was almost parallel to the tree that the bald eagles perch on I was able to see an eagle perched there this afternoon. It was so pleasant outside that I did not want to come inside. I decided to sweep off the patio and as I was doing so I saw a few neighbors and we chatted a bit. It was just good to be outside. If it would have been a tad bit warmer I would have hooked up the garden hose and hosed off my patio. As you can hear from my writing I did not want to come inside but I did.
You see when there is dense fog there really is a gift that is given to us once the fog lifts a bit. I am going to show you what it is. When you look at the picture posted you will see little droplets of dew on my fresh greens that I still have up. On a winters day we were able to experience the freshness of seeing dew on objects. How many even noticed this today? I hope others did notice this.
When I was on the road walking today Holy Spirit reminded me of what I was shown that I was in a wagon and it was Jesus taking the handle and guiding me to where I needed to go. Especially when you are walking on a path and it seems like you cannot see ahead of you or to the sides or behind you. That is when you really need to buckle down and seek the Lord for direction and protection. As I walked today a coyote could have came out from nowhere and I would have not been able to see it until it was right there. That can represent the tactics of the enemy. If you are not in the word of God, praying, fasting and keeping yourself walking in destiny it is very easy for the enemy to sneak up on you and you realize it too late. There is power in the word of God. There is even power in your witness and testimony to others. Your disasters so to speak will be anothers words of warning to get their life right with God.
We need to examine ourselves periodically to see if we are slacking in any area of our life. If so repent and turn back to God. Remember, if you are in the wagon and He is directing your path you will still be able to walk in dense fog and not see Him but it is assuring to know that He never let go of you. He still kept you in His grasp. Let us pause now for a moment of examining our lives.
Repeat this prayer after me if you found yourself slacking in an area of your life and you want to ask Jesus for forgiveness. You know it says that as far as the east is from the west our sins are forgotten. Let Jesus cleanse you so you can start over again. say this..."Jesus I am a sinner and I ask you to forgive my sins both known and those I cannot recollect right now. Please cover them with Your blood and revive my heart. You reign in my life and I just want to serve you and complete all that you call me to do with my life. Forgive me if I let go of you for you never let go of me. Fill me Holy Spirit with your power and might and wisdom to allow me to complete all that you have for me to complete. Forgive me if in my times of being selfish that I neglected to reach out a loving hand to another to help them in their time of need. Give me a second chance to reach out to your people. Let the lost time be revived as though there was no lack of time or distance. I ask you to now send to me many more people to set them free and to share your love with them. Amen."
My heart is so very heavy right in this moment for those that do not know Jesus and if it should be their last breath taken sometime today and they never called upon Jesus they will surely perish in hell for eternity. Father I ask you to send forth your ministering angels to get those lost souls to places and situations in which they can hear the gospel message of salvation. You do not want to go to hell because I was allowed to hear one day a few years ago the screams and horrific tormented sounds that came from hell. Do not go there I plead with you to not go there. Choose life this day. If you never asked Jesus into your heart today is the day that I am reaching out to you with a prayer that will save your life forever. Repeat this prayer after me..."Jesus, I am a sinner forgive me of my sins. I believe that you were born of the virgin Mary you suffered and died upon the cross and on the third day you rose from the dead. You shed your blood so that my sins could be forgiven. Come into my heart and be the Lord and the love of my life. Teach me through the Holy Spirit of you and your ways. Let me know that I am truly yours now and keep me in Your care. Amen."
Holy Spirit I ask you to seal these very words upon their hearts and bless them this very day because all of the angels in heaven rejoiced when people said this very prayer. I thank you that they are in the lambs book of life and let me have the great honor of meeting these new brothers and sisters in Christ not only on this earth but in heaven one day. Amen.
To me the greatest miracle of all is the gift of salvation. A gift that is freely given to us and all we have to do is say yes in faith and believe it in our heart and confess it with our lips. How uncomplicated is that? It is so simple that even a child can do this. Lord I ask you to bless these believers with something so special that they will always remember this day that they became born again. Welcome to the family of Christ.
Wow!!! Isn't that amazing? I started out thinking I was going to write about fog and Holy Spirit directed this divine appointment as a connector to someones destiny. I give you praise this very day Father in heaven You are truly awesome.
I woke up today and saw dense fog outside. I knew I had to walk in it for there was a message awaiting me. There was a message.
When you are walking in dense fog you can look forward, backward, to your left and to your right and not see clearly at all. You may hear the sounds of geese flying by or the morning doves cooing their song as they fly off of the telephone pole wires where they perch. You are not even aware that birds are even on the wires perched until you walk within the distance of seeing them. You can even hear a car coming or going you just cannot see it. All of the familiar sounds are there you just cannot see the objects with clear vision. As I walked in the dense fog I was aware that I could not see distance but even as I walked right in the midst of the fog I was able to see things around me close in distance. Does that make sense. When you look out from a window and see dense fog out there you know it is there but when you are walking in it it only looks dense in the outer distance not where you walk.
The Lord showed me that I could sense change in the air. There is change coming and it is very good. Now, this very good change is only for the believers in Christ. There are many that say they are a Christian and will seem to be excited about this very good change but in reality they are not walking the Christian path. It is so very easy to say the words, Yes, I am a Christian. What are they doing in their lives when no one is looking? Remember, God sees all and you cannot fool Him when it comes to the very good change to bless the Christians. I have been examining myself lately because I do not want judgement cast upon me I urge you to do the same.
Remember, there is very good change coming for the true believer only you can answer the question to this: Am I a true believer?
I have to go now and get ready for church if there is more to this lesson I will write later. Peace to you this day and go to church and worship the living God that we serve. He is wonderful. Did you not get up today and breathe the breath of life? Then go and celebrate that.

Yes Lord I Will Feed Your Sheep, That Was My Response To His Question He Presented To Me Today

As I was driving today I felt that gentle voice speak to my spirit asking me if I will keep feeding His sheep. I responded yes to Him and at that He told me He will continue to give me the food to feed them with. I was so thankful to hear that. You know the Lord can open and shut doors for you that no man can reverse. I pondered on this as I drove today. A door may be shut or another door may open for you but one thing I know that is always steady and that is the presence of God in your life. A man may close a door to God but He does not shut his door on that person. He remains the same yesterday, today and forever. In my thinking of that I began to be reminded of the many times in which He was present and pronounced in my life and then I began to think of the numerous number of times that He was still there and saved me from a missed accident or two. When I was a child my mother tells me of a story that we were in the convertible car and a construction vehicle hit us, we were spared. As a teenager my mother and my sister and myself were in the inner most lane on the highway and our car just froze and would not start. The only thing my mother knew to do was put on the caution flashers and told my sister and I to brace ourselves because a car was coming and it did not stop and hit us. Again, we were fine. As I write this now I remember another incident in which I was driving my mothers car when I borrowed it in college. I suddenly stopped and a motorcycle crashed into the car no one got hurt and no damage to the car. One more incident in which I just graduated from college and had my new Thunderbird car. My first official car. It was nice it was white and had a white leather interior. I was already working on my very first job out of college. I worked for a public relations firm in which I handled the public relations and their employee magazine for a non-profit organization. I parked in front of their facility and I opened my car door to get out and a bus came along and just missed running me over. I was upset that it damaged my car door in the moment. It was afterward that I realized if it would have been a second or two later it would have been me that was hit.
I am also reminded of this one too. My mother tells me that she went to the hospital 5 times to deliver me. Even though she made the trip four previous times it was not until that fifth visit that I was born. God knew all along and was in control of the very date that I was to be born. That is the God that I serve. How could I not give Him praise. What I shared are the ones I remember. What about the many times I am not even aware of that angels protected me. You know what I am talking about right? When you are driving and all of a sudden at the very right moment the car swerves and you just missed something. Or that time when you felt led to go another route than your normal routine or what the GPS tells you to do. You then find out that there was a pretty big accident that was just ahead of you and you missed it. That's right, that is the kind of thing I am talking about.
One of my children has been blessed throughout their life to be able to see angels. I shared with you one drawing of an angel already. Today, I will share with you another picture drawn as a young child of the angels home in heaven. This child did not have bible knowledge per say or even know of the description of heaven. When you see the picture you judge for yourself it looks like the throne room of God was drawn through the eyes of a child. I love this picture because the angel is wearing a baseball cap that says I love (a heart was drawn) God.
Cultivate your child's gift if they are blessed to see things in the Kingdom of God realm.

I Created The Wedding Banner Almost 10 Years To The Date

In a day or two it will be ten years ago that I created this banner. It was created and designed for myself as a step in faith. In the meantime, all I have left is a picture and the prophetic words that were given to me reflecting the meaning of the banner. I will share with you the words that were given to me by Holy Spirit for this very banner.
1/12/2000
"Peace and rest this day as you rested last night you were refreshed for this day. The day that I chose for you to begin the work on the banner.
As you prepare this banner much will be revealed to you in the physical and in the spiritual realm. You wonder about black to be used on a "wedding" banner. Before there was light called forth the earth was void. Out of the darkness light was called forth, there had to be darkness in order that light came forth. For light could not be seen if there was light already. As if you took a black crayon and crayoned a patch on a piece of white paper, if you then took a white crayon and colored a portion of the black you would be able to see white over the patch of black. The same white crayon colored on white paper cannot be seen as easily as it is seen when colored over the patch of black.
As I call you both forward in the marriage union so forth comes the light from the darkness. Your banner is on light colored material, the reverse of what I explained to you. The black is upon light because you will go into areas and call forth the darkness and it will surface and you will then cast it out. The heart is scarlet in color it is My love and My blood that sets you free to leave your oneness as an individual to become one as a couple under the blood.
As you have left your areas of darkness and sin you both will have followed My calling, which led both of you to the heart of the Father and through the blood. Brought into the oneness with covenant. Trust Me My child I will not let go of you, this is the final part of this testimony of faith. I am with you both. Soon and very near all shall be exposed and brought to pass. Thus saith the Lord of the Host of angels. Amen."
There was a season in my life in which I created banners. I would be shown by Holy Spirit the image and I would draw it. I would then color it with colored pencils with what I was shown. I would then go to the various stores and gather the materials needed. I would then come home and put on praise/worship music and create. It was in the assembling of the banners when I would really hear from Holy Spirit as to how to proceed. Sometimes I would draw one thing and in the creating mode it would be slightly changed or adjusted. That was the learning process for me. Would I yield to the prompting of Holy Spirit and create it the way He wanted it to be or was I going to be stubborn and do it my way? I would always yield to Holy Spirit and I would so many times stand back in wonder at the creativity of Holy Spirit and thank Him for His creativity. An example of this creativity at work. I knew I needed something more ornate where I connected the banner to the shepherds hook that it is displayed on. He showed me how to get the flowers and how to connect them to bring a bit of elegance to the banner. Think of the flowers as an accessory to the banner. It may be a bit hard to see in the picture, but if you looked at the two hearts there are actually two angel figurines sewn onto the hearts. They were given to me as a gift. I believe I created this banner with crushed velvet and velvet as the materials. Even though this was my wedding banner I allowed a young couple to use it as a part of their wedding ceremony while I still had possession of it.
I shared that with you so you could understand that My hearing from Holy Spirit is not just something that happened over night. It has been a gradual process. I can hear like I do today because of years of being nurtured by the creator. As I close this writing I have tears in my eyes full of joy because He has taken me and groomed me to be just the right wife for the man that He has set aside to wed me.
I Could Not Sleep Until I Wrote Of My Experiences Yesterday
I went to bed and I could not fall asleep. Holy Spirit was prompting me to write about yesterday. So it is now 2:35 AM and I find myself up and writing. Of course I asked Him for a scripture verse. I then read Jonah 3: 2. This is at the point in Jonah's life when he went through what he had to go through to finally say OK I will go to Nineveh. At the start of the verse it says "Jonah immediately went to Nineveh as the Lord told him. At the end of the very same verse you see him prophesying "In forty days Nineveh will be destroyed."
As I left work yesterday I had a few errands to run. I needed to pick up a few things at the grocery store. I noticed a very large grocery store the other day when heading home from work. Today I was prompted to go into this store. It was huge and very busy with shoppers. The guard was telling someone that they do an incredible amount of business on the weekends. I collected what I needed and I debated between two cheeses, grated Parmesan and a fresh grated Locatelli cheese. As I was in the self-serve checkout line a store manager was walking by. I inquired what I should do with the Parmesan cheese that I did not want. He took it for me and told me that I made the right choice with keeping the other cheese. He then went on to tell me that they have a cheese spread they make daily and it was with Jarlsberg (not sure of the spelling) and horseradish and that I should try it sometime. The next thing I knew there was the manager with a sample for me to try. Wow! You just don't see service like that anymore. I will be back to shop at that store.
After that I needed to go to another store, I was hesitating and then last minute as I was approaching the exit I decided to go to the store. I entered the store and was browsing and really didn't find anything. I tried on a few things and as I was coming out of the dressing room I saw a woman entering it and the next thing I knew I found myself blurting out the words "Are you a Christian?" She looked at me a bit surprised and responded yes. I said to her I just knew she was because she had that look. The the next thing I know I am giving her a word of encouragement. She thanked me and said she needed to hear those words. I said to her to not thank me but thank Holy Spirit because it was His leading. We briefly shared that I was just trying on clothes and didn't really like anything and then she shared with me that she just came into the store to pay her bill and she was drawn to this department. Isn't God awesome?
There was another stop on the way home. This time to the nursing home. I shared all of that to encourage you to follow the prompting of Holy Spirit and He will use you. This is the first time that words just blurted out of my mouth like they did in the dressing room today. A lot of times there is a prompting inside of me and then they come forth. Today, it was as if there was no time to think about it and I found myself just speaking the words. I guess you would call that a holy spirit boldness and zeal that leaped out of me. Praise God. I will never know it but Jonah may have had the same type of experience if he would not have run from what God told him to do in the very beginning. As you read on in the story, in the end he still accomplished what the Lord told him to do from the beginning. After he completed the task you find him grumbling and upset with God. He questions why he had to leave his country to do this task when he already spoke the words of what was going to happen in his own country. He said he knew that God was merciful and compassionate, patient, and always ready to forgive and to reconsider his threats of destruction. God questions his anger. Jonah leaves the city and sat down. He made a shelter for himself and sat and waited to see what would happen to the city. The Lord God made a plant grow up beside Jonah to give him shade and to make him more comfortable. Jonah was happy with the plant. The next morning God sent a worm to attack the plant and it withered. God also made a hot east wind blow and the sun beat down on Jonah's head and he was about to faint. God asked Jonah what right he had to be angry over the plant. He replied to God that he had every right to be angry. This is then what the Lord replied in verse 10-11: "The Lord replied, "This plant grew up overnight and died overnight. You didn't plant it or make it grow. Yet, you feel sorry for the plant. Shouldn't I feel sorry for this important city, Nineveh? It has more than 120,000 people in it as well as many animals. These people couldn't tell their right hand from their left."
I think that says a lot. Do not second guess God and why He sends you to do a task somewhere.

Words I Received New Years Eve After The Church Service
I attended a church service New Years Eve. During the service I learned a bit about Hanukkah. I took a few brief notes. It is referred to as the Festival of Lights. The menorah (I hope I am spelling that right, it is the candelabra I am referencing) has four candles on each side of the center candle which is known as the guardian candle. The guardian candle is lit first and then each day one candle is lit.
It was approximately 9:00 PM when I received these words:
As the day goes into the sun so shall the love of Christ go into the sons of Christ. Christ shed His blood so the sons and daughters of Christ will arise and stand forth to go into the battle and fight for the unlovely and the down trodden, they are called forth to set the captives free. A freedom that can only be received when the light of the world comes into their hearts and sets them free.
Free from the shackles of this world and their life. Free from the fingers that point and accuse them. No finger shall be raised from the hand that raises its hand in judgement. There is no judgement to those that have been set free. The accuser of the brethren is forever saying, "What about this one or that one?" I stand in My authority and power and silence him through the blood of the lamb.
I raise up those to go forth and I take down those that have abused the church within and without the church walls. The kingdom is at hand and all that seek and choose to be set free are free indeed. Go forth and take My light and love to the nations that I call you to. Let not words or fingers or finances stop you and the calling forth in your life. I call those forth and they go forth only in My calling and anointing and power and light that I burn brightly inside of you. Not a light for you to prance about with but a light with purpose to take the freedom to all that I send to you-SET THEM FREE. saith the Lord of Hosts.

It Is Wise To Learn How To Pick And Choose Your Battles
I have learned this principle through trial and error. Trust me when I tell you I have learned this the hard way. At One point in my life I was very feisty and quick tempered and I had no problem voicing my opinion to you. At times it was in a determined tone of voice and at other times it was with a bit of anger behind it. When there was something I was not pleased about I did not hold back my words. That is wording it kindly. When Jesus came into my life it was as if my anger and swearing, yes, I use to swear believe it or not. Both were lifted from my life. Don't get me wrong when I said that, there have been times in which a bit of anger arises in me. The lesson that I learned through wisdom and experience was to not act upon those moments.
If you are sensitive Holy Spirit will guide you as to when to react or not. His plan of reaction is usually in some sort of manner that will not bring shame to Jesus. It amazes me the many times in which I yield to Holy Spirit and the most creative thoughts and words come forth. I often reflect on that and I am amazed at the true wisdom that poured forth. It got the point across in a way that was much better received by the person than if I would have jumped into the "former" me and handled it in my own way.
From this point out you may notice me writing and not referring to Holy Spirit as The Holy Spirit. What I mean is I see Holy Spirit as a person in the trinity. I do not call Jesus The Jesus or a person that is named Ann as The Ann. Does that make sense? Holy Spirit is real in my life and is always there to guide and direct and even correct me when it is needed. I may slip here or there until I get comfortable writing Holy Spirit in that reference.
I was presented with an opportunity to pick and choose a battle yesterday. A person that knows me left a voicemail message that was not positive one bit. I use to work for a company in which I would receive messages from pastors and ministers and I believe my purpose is to be an encourager. That is just what my message does. I have had several pastors, etc. that have left me a message stating thank you for encouraging them with my message. I have a similar message on my home telephone answering machine. I use it as a tool for witnessing and to lift up people. You just never know who will listen to that uplifting message and be encouraged. Yes, even a person that dials the wrong number can be blessed by your message.
I first got this idea from an acquiantance that used these words on their greeting message, "I trust that you're having a great day." Not I hope but trust, that is a powerful word of faith when you use that term. The definition of trust means a firm reliance; confident belief; faith. This person truly does have faith and determination.
Back to my story about yesterday. Once I heard the negative message left for me I rebuked those very words and said that I will not believe or receive them. I am in a position now in which I work and my compensation is totally on straight commission. I had a choice yesterday to let it go and go attain my goal for the day or I could have been sucked into a battle that I was not to be in. Guess what I did? I chose to not react and I did accomplish my goal for the day at work Yeah!
The factor that confirmed me not battling this was I spoke with a woman yesterday that happened to recently hear my voicemail message. I asked her her opinion about it and she told me that it was very encouraging and you just never know who will be encouraged by listening to it. I do not need to defend myself when I have God's people sharing with me that it encourages them. I am telling you people that the people that are close to you in your life can be the very barrier to what you are called to do and accomplish with your life. Just suck it up and keep moving forward. You know that one day you will before Jesus and have to give an accounting of what you did with your life. Your family members, friends, acquaintances will not be there a that moment and you will not be able to blame what you did or did not do on anyone else but yourself. Think about that for a moment and is it really worth losing in the end because of a few ignorant words? No, it is not.
Let me now share with you what my voicemail message states: "Everyone can use some encouragement. So may you be encouraged with these words today. You are the Lords wonderful creation fashioned first with His heart and then with His hands. He rejoices over your talents, gifts, and ability because He chose them just for you. Please leave a brief message and I will get back with you in a timely manner. Thanks and I trust that you're having a great day."
Be blessed this day as you go about fulfilling your destiny, the very destiny God calls forth in your life.

Have You Ever Found Yourself Walking On A Path That You Have Never Walked Before?
I woke up this morning seeking the Lord. I went to bed last night struggling with the Lord and telling Him I would not let go until He blessed me. I woke up with a plan or agenda of my own until I heard the words, "DON"T MEDDLE." Of course I asked Him for clarification and if He would confirm that with scripture. He was faithful in both of my requests. He told me to not to interfere in an area in which I am not invited. I understood exactly what He meant. The very definition of the word meddle means to intrude in the affairs of others; interfere. He again told me to TRUST Him. He seems to keep saying that to me a lot these days. He reminds me quite often that I am now walking on a path that I have never walked before and it is unfamiliar to me and can be uncomfortable at times. At times it can also be quite glorious too. That is why it is imperative for me to follow His leading and for me to not step out on my own whims/impulses so to speak. It is His hand guiding me and leading me through since I have never walked this road before. He once showed me this...a red wagon that I was sitting in and it was Jesus that was taking hold of the handle and walking me to where He was taking me. The interesting portion of this was that Jesus had a hold of the handle but it was not His back that I faced when I was in the wagon, it was the reverse. He held the handle of the wagon and was walking me to where I had to go with his front facing me. All I had to do was trust Him and stay in the wagon. That seems simple enough. It can get complicated if you are a seer and you want to jump out of the wagon and run there instead of enjoying the the ride in the wagon with Jesus directing the journey. Trust me when I tell you that I ask Jesus many times to forgive me when I want or at times jump ahead of Him. He always forgives me. For that I am most thankful.
Isaiah 30: 8-11 states, "Now, write this on a tablet for them, and inscribe it in a book so that it will be there in the future as a permanent witness. These people are rebellious and deceitful children, children who refuse to listen to the Lord's teachings. They say to seers, 'Don't see the future.' They say to those who have visions, 'Don't have visions that tell us what is right. Tell us what we want to hear. See illusions, Get out of our way! Stop blocking our path! Get the Holy One of Israel out of our sight.' "
Further down in this same chapter verse 15-18 states, "This is what the Almighty Lord, the Holy One of Israel says: You can be saved by returning to me. You can have rest. You can be strong by being quiet and by trusting me. But you don't want that. You've said, "No we'll flee on horses." So you flee. You've added, "We'll ride on fast horses." So those who chase you will also be fast. One thousand people will flee when one person threatens them, and you will flee when five threaten you. Then you will be left alone like a flagpole on top of a mountain, like a signpost on a hill. The Lord is waiting to be kind to you. He rises to have compassion on you. The Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him."
See what I mean. He is ever so faithful to me. If you seek and ask He will respond. He is also there with a stern correction if it is needed in your life. His love is so grand that He will chasten you, as a parent chastens a child to keep them from eminent harm.
As I wrote today I had the song, How He Loves Us by the David Crowder Band playing. I was so blessed this past Sunday at church. It was after the service when the praise team came on the platform to minister. I seemed to know the rhythm that they played as the prayer was coming forth and then it clicked with me and dawned on me that it was this very song. I was able to sing along with this song because I was already well acquainted with it.

Take The Time To Share With Senior Citizens, Their Wisdom Is Truly Incredible
Today I was touched by several conversations with a variety of seniors. One woman shared with me that she never had health insurance until she was older and how God took care of her up until the very point when she received health insurance. Illness struck her husband and then herself but even through all of that their insurance covered everything. By the way she is no longer ill also. She felt led to share with me and interrupt the conversation to share that with me. I sensed and inquired of her if she was a believer just by her speaking and the nudging of the Holy Spirit, she is. She went on to tell me that the Lord always takes care of her.
There was an elderly gentleman that truly touched my heart today. Even as I ponder about the conversation we had it brings tears to my eyes. This man had a deep love for his wife. I just sensed again to ask a question or two and it was his response that touched my heart and while we spoke it also brought tears to my eyes. He shared with me that he was married to his wife a very long time and she just died a bit before Christmas (just a few short days ago.) I heard the sorrow in his voice and he began to cry. I let him cry a bit and I tried to use words to console him. He continued to cry even through that. I am most thankful that the Holy Spirit gives me wisdom in these particular moments, a small window of opportunity allotted to me to minister to the hurting. I never ever want to take these moments for granted. It humbles me to be able to bless another via words of encouragement and sharing the love of Jesus within me with them.
I suggested that maybe pulling out their wedding album may bring comfort to him. He said they brought many pictures out for the funeral. He went on to share with me that they became the parents of several orphans years ago. A family of children in which they did not want to see the siblings separated and adopted individually. What a comfort of some sorts to this man in his time of need. I mentioned to him that when the children were young and they needed help, him and his wife came into their lives to help them and now it is his time of need and those very children that they rescued are now there to help him in his time of need. I asked him if his wife was a believer and I found myself beginning to console him with the thought that one day he will be with her again for all of eternity in heaven. I asked him if I may pray for him and he told me yes, that is just what I did. At the conclusion I asked him to look for me in heaven one day and introduce himself and his wife to me. He said he would and I think I chuckled and told him I would have a tambourine in my hand.
Throughout the past several weeks I found myself saying those very words to several people that are believers. When we are all in heaven for eternity I will have a bunch of new friends that I will look forward to meeting and sitting with them to hear their great stories they will have to share with me. God is good all of the time and all of the time God is good.
If you know of someone that is a senior citizen please do not neglect to visit with them. You just may not know of the heavy burden they may be carrying and you come along to ease the load for them for a brief period of time. I am most thankful of my mother. My final thoughts on the subject of senior citizens: I have had the distinct privilege and honor to meet some wonderful, intelligent, witty, kind, and sincere seniors via the telephone. Do not take them for granted when you hear their age. There is much wisdom to be learned and gleaned from them. The key to your next breakthrough may come from the wisdom of a senior, be it a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or even an acquaintance. Do not let them go to be with the Lord without them sharing their story with you. Their story may be your key to glory in your life. Think about it.

I Thoroughly Enjoy Masterpiece Classics On PBS Via WVIZ
I just finished watching a Masterpiece Classic called Cranford on television. I am most thankful that our area has the privilege of a public broadcasting station. I am most thankful that WVIZ continues to offer the Masterpiece Classic series. When a new series is started I anticipate watching each and every segment of the series. There are few things that catch my attention currently, to cause me to want to tune in and view it in its entirety. I thoroughly enjoyed the Cranford series. To the producers of the Masterpiece Classic series I say thank you and continue to keep creating because I will keep tuning in. This series had a pleasant and happy ending. That is something I enjoy watching. Movies in which there is a joyous ending.
There seems to be so much gloom and doom out there in the world. It is good to not watch all of the negativity and to make wise decisions to watch good and wholesome programming. I choose to not watch the news because they always seem to put a negative slant on things and they choose to not report good and uplifting stories and bombard people with the gloom and doom stories. Maybe news programs should try and cover a bit more positive than the negative slant they choose to report. For every negative story 2-3 positive stories should be reported on. Remember you are what you watch. Choose today to be selective on what you view on television. If you have children in your home why would you not want a pleasant and uplifting atmosphere in your home? As a parent it really is OK to tell a child that they will not be viewing something that is not appropriate in your home. If the child persists on not following your directions in reference to television viewing then cut off cable in your home for a season. There really is nothing wrong with not having cable for a period of time within your home. If the lesson is still not learned by the child/children then take it a step further and remove a television from their bedroom (most children today have televisions in their bedrooms.) It is not a bad thing to let your child/children know that you are in charge and the television is not in charge in your home.
I have no idea why I just turned my complimentary start to my writing and ended it with a caution to parents. Maybe someone needed to hear these words either of encouragement or a confirmation of what they were up against or contemplated doing. I have no clue just know that I speak peace and blessings into your homes this very night.

Forgive Me This Should Have Been Written Yesterday. There Is A Lesson To Be Learned In All Of This
I attempted to complete this project yesterday. When in doubt always follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. I actually drove to the local stadium yesterday to walk/take the pictures you see posted today. I decided that I just did not want to do that yesterday and I would do it today instead. WRONG. I woke up not feeling well today and I still knew that I needed to go and take pictures. Yesterday's weather was much more conducive to today's project. I found myself trudging through a snow storm at the stadium to capture the pictures to go along with what I am writing about.
My subject today will be on: Have You Left Your Mark In The Community In Which You Live In? I can say yes to that statement. For as long as I can remember I have exercised at the local stadium/track. I was always most grateful that it was there for the community to use. I feel that I gave back to the community in a few different ways in which they were all related to the sports complex in which I was blessed to be able to use. The first picture reflects a "V" shaped figure. It is actually a planter and when it was first made I volunteered to water the plants. I did.
The second picture is the bell that is located at the end of the football field. I once worked for a family in which one of the owners actually donated this bell to the stadium. This was such a dear older gentleman and we all referred to him as Grandpa. When he died I would walk at the track and noticed that it sure could use some paint that the old paint was peeling. I know this man did things with excellence and was proud of his establishment that he owned in town. I wanted to bless not only his family but also the children that played sports at the stadium. I asked the maintenance team that cares for the stadium if I would be allowed to paint the bell and the frame that holds it up. They supplied the paint, etc. and that is just what I did. I believe they ring this very bell at the football games.
One of my first projects was that I painted the old wooden benches the team use to sit on during the football games. The paint was peeled and I wanted it to look nice for the children when they had football games. They have since been replaced with steel benches.
My next project was the one that I think will bring the most glory to God. They had a fundraiser in which you could purchase a brick and have it engraved as a marker. I purchased two at the time. One was for our family and the other was engraved with these words, "To God Be The Glory." This is where the lesson on obedience comes into play. If I would have just done this yesterday you would have actually been able to see the brick with those words engraved on it. Since I waited until today I had to actually clear off a couple of inches of snow from the entire area with my feet being used as the broom so to speak. Even with that I could not find it with the snow that kept coming down. Trust me it really is there. One day when the saints are in heaven because Jesus came to get his people there will be people left behind for the tribulation period on the earth. This marker is already in place to hopefully be a word of encouragement for those seeking it. Along with mine there was another one by a local priest and below his name are the words "God Bless."
As I walked across the football field I was reminded of the time when a group that I participated in known as Moms In Touch International actually met in the middle of the football field at the stadium at the beginning of a school year and we had communion right there on the football field. We were bold back then and had a heart for the children that attended school within the city and we also prayed for the children that lived in the city but attended private schools outside of the city limits. Please pray for the children and the school administration/teachers within the community in which you live in. If you are a mom or an aunt or a grandmother of someone that attends school within your community you should get a chapter of Moms In Touch International started. We saw many wonderful prayers answered as we gathered faithfully each week during the school year. If there is a local chapter already in existence within your community I highly encourage you to get involved. Remember this thought, today's children are tomorrows leaders. There many be a child that does not have a mother or father that will or knows how to pray for them on their behalf. Why don't you step up to the plate and pray for them. You just may be praying for the next president of the USA or better yet a preacher/evangelist/prophet/teacher/apostle that will win the world to Jesus Christ.
The lesson in all of this is do what the Holy Spirit prompts you to do when He leads you to do it. OK. I thought you may be interested in knowing that I do not think I ever attended a football game at this stadium. Both of my children attended private high schools outside of the city. I did these acts of kindness in gratitude for the opportunity to use this facility throughout the years. My main reason was that I wanted the children that played sports to be able to be proud of their school when visiting teams came to our stadium. I am most thankful that they allowed me to participate in the way that I was able to make a contribution.
There is still one more project that I have not seen completed yet. When I walk there it is quite obvious that the football field is not flat and it has mounds that you can see. I believe that the safety of the children should be the main priority. I have inquired on several occasions as to when they will flatten the field out so it will be safe for all children that participate on that field. I have seen nothing happen yet. Maybe that will be on the agenda in the future.
Again, I apologize for not writing/publishing this yesterday.
