On the last day of my trip there was an incident that occurred in which I could have chose to keep offense in my life. As much as I would have liked to have held onto it as an excuse to be able to gripe I knew better than that to hang onto garbage like that. Thank God I heard the voice of Holy Spirit and followed His lead to let go of it.
This is what happened as the day progressed. I had a split second to acknowledge the person that did wrong to me a few hours earlier and wish them well or I could have hung onto offense. I would like to believe that my successful outcome could have been different if I would not have let go of offense. I know that hanging onto offense and not having forgiveness towards one that wronged you opens up the door for the enemy to come into your life and create havoc.
As I walked past this person I wished them well on a project they will be working on and they wished me well also. Good thing I did that because we were on the plane waiting to take off and they announced that they had to do some quick maintenance work on the plane and it would only take 5-10 minutes. Then a bit later they announced that the work was done but the pilots stepped off the plane and they were waiting on them. The woman sitting in the seat by the window shared with me that she saw the pilots looking at the wing of the plane. The pilots then get back on the plane and the maintenance person came on board and spoke with the pilots and the next thing we are now ready to take off. Just before we pulled out onto the runway I noticed they were testing the wing of the plane, some little flapper parts of the wing.
What if I would have kept offense in my life and did not release it, could the scenario have gone like this..same problem that needed to be looked at on the plane but the pilots could have thought it was a minor inconvenience and may have overlooked it. Thank God they followed through to correct the problem and it was dealt with right then and there. Do you see where I am going with this? Maybe, just maybe, I could have indirectly altered the safe outcome by allowing offense to go on the plane with me. Maybe a pilot could have become distracted and overlooked the wing concern and who knows what could have happened while we were in the air flying. It sort of reminds me of the story of Jonah. He was out of obedience with God's direction of where and what he was suppose to do and remember the storm and how they threw him overboard? Be cautious in your life for your disobedience just may spill over onto others that may be innocent. Why put yourself in harms way just for the satisfaction of a moment of feeling sorry for yourself. It is not worth it when you look at the big scope of things. Even though we were detained for almost a half hour we made up time in the air and we were only approximately 15 minutes late. I had the opportunity to thank one of the pilots as I was getting off the plane. I thanked them for taking our safety into consideration and checking/taking care of the problem, to allow us to arrive safely.
Trust in the Lord and follow His correction if it is needed in your life. Why hang onto something that is yucky when He has beauty for you. Trade in your anger for peace; your sorrow for joy; your suffering for restoration.

Did You Ask The Lord To Set Up Opportunities For You, He Does You Just Need To Ask
Recently, I had to travel and Holy Spirit showed me in advance what to take as a witnessing tool to other's that would come across my path while away. This is what He showed me to take with me. In the past I would take witnessing tracts with me and leave them with a monetary tip tucked inside the tract for the housekeeping person in thanks for taking care of your room. This time it shifted a little bit. Instead of tract's I bought 2 encouragement cards at a Christian bookstore. Not greeting cards, they resembled a business card with words of encouragement with a nice background picture. Be very sensitive to Holy Spirit direction when travelling for He already knows the people that you will touch their lives. He knows where they are at and the circumstances in their very life. Sometimes the enemy will set things up to cause you to stray from where God has placed you on that journey.
Here's an example of that attempt by the enemy...In my room the sink stopper did not work after being there a few days so they sent in a repair person to try and fix it. It could not be fixed and they had to replace it the next day. I came into my room and saw there was a message waiting for me. I called the front desk to retrieve the message and sure enough, they are offering to me to switch rooms if I wanted to due to the sink not having a stopper in it. I declined since I already cleaned the room. You may wonder what I mean by that comment , already cleaned the room. When I travel I do like to bring disinfectant wipes to clean things like door handles, telephones, light switches, faucets, etc. I just like to know that I cleaned prior stuff that may have been on the points of contact, germs and things like that. I was in a very comfortable room and it was quiet at night why would I want to change rooms at this point I was already settled in. I also prayed over my room in advance of this trip that the angels would go ahead of me and clean it out of spiritual junk before I ever arrive there. You never know what goes on in a room that has been occupied by others prior to your arrival. When you have wisdom and do not use it then you are the only one that suffers the consequences of not operating in the wisdom you gained. Does that make sense? Holy Spirit already knew who would be taking care of my room in advance and the cards that would be used on the very days that they were used with a tip attached to it.
Let me recollect now how they were used. First one was just to leave a note with a few dollars letting them know to please leave the radio on in my room after they cleaned. I came back into the room and the radio was turned off and the note/money was taken. The next day I inquired of why the radio was not kept on and the housekeeping supervisor noted to keep the radio on if it is on when they clean the room. You may say to yourself why would she care if the radio was on or off. There is a purpose to this. Remember I already prayed that angels would go ahead of me to clear the room of past junk that may have settled in that particular room right? Well, you are now connected with other rooms on that floor and even down the hall from you on that very floor you will be staying. One of the first things I checked, is there a Christian television station(s) I could watch while staying there. To my surprise there was not even one station that was Christian available to the guests. I confirmed that with the front desk also, no station at all. I then checked to make sure The Gideon Bible was offered to guests that stay in that room, I was happy to find one, thank God for that. So, when you cannot watch Christian channels like TBN, Daystar or a local Christian channel the next best route is to play a Christian radio station to clear the room of other junk that may be going on around you. From that point forward I would leave the radio station playing during the day and while I was gone from the room also. It really did clear the air so to speak and I rested peaceful at night.
Remember, I still have 2 encouragement cards yet to use. This is how they were used. I reserved a time slot on the shuttle bus to take me to a destiny and I was there and the shuttle bus never showed up and after several attempts to reach them from the front desk no response. They then offered to call a cab for me and they would pay the fare to get me to that destination and the shuttle bus would pick me up when I called the hotel. Sure enough, the cab was right there no waiting time at all and it happened to be a person that had an accent when they spoke. I was detecting maybe from Russia, I asked and they were from Lithuania. That was the first nudge of Holy Spirit I pulled out the first card and tucked it inside the tip I gave to the driver. Then there was another day I left the 2nd encouragement card with a note stating "For Housekeeping" with a tip included with it. I was now out of encouragement cards so this is what Holy Spirit showed me to do on check out day, print a note thanking them for keeping my room clean and orderly and write a scripture verse down for them. I wrote the scripture verse down and then I noted that it was a scripture verse from the bible. We cannot assume that everyone is familiar with scripture and that scripture comes from the bible right? Sometimes you have to keep it simple and at other times you can share more with others depending on where they are with their walk with the Lord, keep that in mind.
This is by far the most interesting witness tool used by Holy Spirit at the beginning of this trip. I had dinner with a few people and we got on the subject of God. There was a person that believed there may be a God; one that listened; and I sensed that the other person may have had knowledge of God. That was my take on this. It was a bit of a challenge to try to convince the one that I know for sure that if something happened to me that night I would be in heaven for sure and I explained it the best I could. We touched on the topic of being "born again." When I left that dinner I began to question my trained knowledge of evangelism and thought I need to get back into doing that more. God had a plan all along...look what He did through that simple conversation. When you let people speak you can hear a story they have. The one that was not sure of God stated that they saw their angel once. I now have knowledge on how to pray for that one. We were gathered together the very next day and sure enough the subject of "born again" is mentioned by a stranger. The one person tells me what are the odds that we had the conversation the one evening and then the next day it it brought up again by someone else. Don't tell me that God does not know what is going on, I saw that He was now using that simple conversation to cause the one to start thinking about it. So you see I was then able to pray for the one that had doubts now. Angels are there to minister to the heirs of salvation and that is what I prayed that if this person saw their angel then put them in the position to receive salvation. God is awesome is He not? Do you see His hand in all of this? We have a part to play also, go prepared when He sends you somewhere for He already knows the lives of those that will be touched just by you being there where you are suppose to be. Ask Him to give you an opportunity to share Jesus with someone today then be prepared to follow through when He nudges you that this is the person to share with. Living with Jesus is an exciting life to live it really is. Let Him shine through you and let the world see Jesus today, yes, this very day. I challenge you to try it. Once you experience this you will always be asking Him to give you opportunities.

WOW, When You Ask God For An Opportunity To Share Him With Someone He Sure Does Come Through In A Strong Way.
Let me share my "sharing opportunity" with you today. I share as an encouragement to you to step out of your comfort zone and share with others what God has done in your life. Sometime's the sharing may even come from a source that you least expect. I had to travel on an airplane and I prefer a certain type of seat on the plane when I do travel. For a few weeks I would try to select a seat and each time it would show no seats to select from. I was approaching the departure day and concerned that there would not be a seat available for me so I called the airline to seek out information. The first person I spoke with was not of much help to answering my questions so I requested to speak to the supervisor. Wow, the conversation we had started out with my concern of being able to get a seat and from that point on it shifted. This woman began to share of her experiences she had in her life with miracles and her children. One point in the beginning of the conversation it was disclosed to me by her that she was a Mormon.
With my religious mind set I wanted to almost end the conversation with her because she was not of like faith. I am so glad that I did not cut off the conversation and I followed the lead of Holy Spirit. I learned a big lesson in all of this. There would have been a day years ago that I would have ended the conversation politely and not continued on because of my mind set that only believers that call upon the name of Jesus and have Jesus in their heart receive miracles. That theory was obviously proven wrong to me in the midst of our conversation. It reminds me of the account in the bible of when Peter was on the rooftop and had the vision of the sheet coming down and telling him it was OK to do something that he thought was unclean and God was showing him that what he thought was unclean was not in the eyes of God (in Acts 10.) I guess God can bring people of all walks of life together to share what He has done in their life. It all started out as a connection as two mother's talking about their children. Then, if you let someone speak long enough there is a story for them to share with you about their life.
I must be growing in maturity is what I am thinking. Years ago I would have cut this conversation short the moment I heard the word Mormon and the blessing God had in store for me would have never come to fruition. I am not saying that there are other ways to come to Jesus for salvation and I do not know the full extent of what Mormon's believe but I do know that Jesus died for them just as much as He died for you and me, those that have called upon the name of Jesus to be saved. I remember as I look back on my life to the point when I was still of a mainline religion and God was working in my life back then with the faith that I had and then the light bulb went on in my life and truth was revealed to me about salvation in Jesus. From that point forward I set aside my religious mind set and accepted the bible as truth in my life. I can honestly say that God was doing a work in my life so how could I now judge others that He only works in the lives of believers. He is God and He can bestow miracles upon whom He chooses and to those that have faith to believe. I can say to you that He did move on my behalf back then in my life and I truly believe that He has always loved me with His enormous love it was I that was now ready to receive His enormous love into my heart. He was always there but was I always there to receive Him? That is the question.
On with the story...I have been praying a prayer for my children and I felt Holy Spirit nudge me to share it with her to open up her eyes about how God see's our children. I dictated it to her and she typed it on her computer. Let me share this prayer with you today to help you see your children the way God see's them. This prayer came from Kenneth Copeland Ministry I tore it out of one of their monthly magazine's that they sent to me several years ago. Thank you Kenneth Copeland Ministry for sharing this with your readers and now it is being shared with others again years later in a different arena.
"Lord, I love my children and I'm holding them before You right now. I see You holding them in your arms, ministering life and peace and comfort to them. Lord I realize that You love them far more than I ever could. And Father, I pray for the peace of God that passes all understanding to stand guard over their hearts and minds. Help them, Lord to be full of You, to know You, and worship You. And Father, help me see my children the way You see them. Help me love them with your Love."
I must let you know that the original prayer did not have the words "children" or "them". It was written with the words "son" and "him" in the prayer. I adapted it to my needs at the time and even adapted it again to add people to it that I wanted Him to let me see through His eyes.
On with the story. Just before the conversation concluded she shared with me that she opened up one of the blocked seats and when it was time for me to check in online the seat was already assigned to me. When I signed in sure enough there was the seat assigned to me. God sure is good isn't He. Now, I would have cut off the blessing He had lined up for me if I wanted to walk in my old mind set and not flow with Holy Spirit right. Be ever so sensitive to Holy Spirit today and see where He takes you on your journey with Him. There is no sweeter place to be than walking with Him, side-by-side with you, will you let Him?

That's Beautiful
You may wonder what this picture is and what is the story behind it. Well, you should know by now, if you have read any of my blogs that there is a story behind the picture. The items on the tray are brownies that I decorated for a dear family member that recently turned 16. You know, turning 16 in a young girls eyes is a really big deal. I remember when I turned 16 such sweet memories.
More than you care to realize there are people observing your life and wanting to know if you really do walk the Christian walk or is it just talk and you live your life totally different when no one is around you. I would like to think that if you state you are a Christian that you really are one and you live your life as though you really do follow Christ and He can be seen by others through you.
Apparently, I am told that I tend to express (when I really like something or what you are sharing with me touches me) and I exclaim something to this effect, "That's beautiful" or "Oh that's beautiful." Those are the words that just flow from my heart out of my mouth to express my sincere liking of something. Well guess what? A young lady that is a family member must have liked that saying enough so that she and all of her friends have coined that phrase and say it all the time now. I was blessed to meet these friends and as I was being introduced to them I noticed the birthday girl was whispering something to each one of them before they were introduced to me. I said hey, what are you telling these people? I was told she was letting them know I was the "beautiful" lady/woman.
These young ladies all attend a Christian school and I was so incredibly blessed as I was able to converse with them at the birthday celebration. It was so refreshing to me to be around the generation that God is using for His movement of God. I shared with them and encouraged one to write if that is their talent that God gave them and another to paint/art if that is their talent from God. You see, God places the gifting inside of you and it is your job to develop it and then use it for His glory and to reach others through your gift. The picture that has to yet be painted will come through you or the book that has the information to share with others of what the Lord is and has done in your life still needs to be written. You know we will all be held accountable to God one day with what we either did or did not do with the talents He gave to us.
I then learned something from talking with another friend of the guest of honor. It impressed me so much so that I now ask God to give me an opportunity to share with His people as I start out my day. She shared with me that she was at a McDonald's and her Grandpa led someone to Jesus right there. That he asks God daily to give him opportunities to share Jesus with others. I then felt a Holy Spirit nudge to share with her that she needs to look a step further...she was there to see her Grandpa share Jesus with another and she did not complain and say I want to go now she let the ministry happen. I went on to share with her that she will now be a part of the connection with that person giving their heart to Jesus. Took it a step further...when they then lead someone to Jesus and so forth that will now be a part of her account in heaven all stemming from the initial leading of one to the Lord and she will meet them all one day in heaven. People, what really counts is how you live your life. Others really do observe your lifestyle and daily walk. Are you a phony Christian by stating it with just words or are you a genuine Christian that lives the life of a genuine Christian? Your words can either edify the body of Christ or tear them down which do you choose to speak today?

Are you a phony Christian by stating it with just words or are you a genuine Christian that lives the life of a genuine Christian? Your words can either edify the body of Christ or tear them down which do you choose to speak today?

Let Me Share With You That The Eddie James Ministry Is The Real Deal
Let me share with you that this ministry is the real deal. I had the blessing to experience this ministry and my oh my how Holy Spirit uses this ministry and the kids that are a part of this ministry to bless the church and reach out to hurting kids and adults too. God's presence is with them as they minister in praise/worship/dance and the sharing of testimonies of the young adults that their lives are so changed once Jesus touched their hearts. There was a point when an altar call was given and Eddie asked the congregation to pray on behalf of the children responding to the altar call. To pray if you were a mom or a dad and pray on behalf of these kids as if you were praying for your very own children. Oh my, all I can say is how the tears flowed from my eyes as I prayed with others in the church. We take our lives sometimes for granted. Just because you may pray for your children we may tend to forget that there may be children out there that have no one to pray for them or on their behalf. I believe in my heart that if you pray for those that have no one to pray for them then God will bring others on your behalf when a need may be there. That is not the reason to pray for others because of a selfish cushion need you may have one day. You need to pray as Holy Spirit tugs at your heart to pray. He knows who needs the prayer and when it is needed. You do believe that right?
As I am writing now I am being reminded of the time one of my children was in the hospital for a second surgery and as I sat with my bible and prayed in a rocking chair outside of their room a silent conversation I had with Holy Spirit. It went something like this, "Why does my child have to go through a second surgery why was it not taken care of the first surgery?" I asked as a mother would ask of her child of why they had to go through the same surgery and recovery etc. It was in that moment that I was to rest assure that the 2nd surgery was not a bother to this child like I wanted to think it was from the perspective of a parent wanting to shield your child from pain. As I sat in that rocking chair I then understood why I was there, to pray for sick children in that hospital. My child's surgery was minor compared to the serious health conditions of children in that very hospital that were facing life/death concerns. I was there to pray and intercede for children that may have had no one to pray for them. I prayed the word of God sitting in that rocking chair at the end of the hospital hall corridor. I will never know who they were all I know is that God had a plan and purpose to us being there for the very children that needed pray at that very moment in their lives.
Another thought just came to mind now also...when my father died I met a woman at the hospice house that after his death I felt led to go see her and also a young child that was a patient there also, he may have been 8,9, or 10 at the time. One day I struck up a brief conversation with this child and by looking at them you knew there must have been some kind of tumor because you could see it bulge out of their head a little above the eye area. I found out that they liked music and at the time I had a few percussion instruments with me in my car and I asked the nurse if it would be OK to bring them in and if this child wanted to select one they could have it to make their own music. They said it was OK and this child selected an instrument. I found out that not many family members would come to visit this child and my heart really went out to them with just the thought of thinking that they were dying at a hospice house and very few came to visit them. As I am writing this tears well up in my eyes with that remembrance. I cannot even imagine a child so young facing death and not having what other families just may take for granted. I stopped in one more time and it was after Christmas of that year and I inquired of this child if they were still playing the instrument and I found out that they died a little bit before Christmas but the silver lining in the cloud was that their family was around this child. If you have children do not take them for granted and keep praying for them and telling them how much you love them. If Holy Spirit causes you to pray for others that you may never meet or know today but will meet them in heaven pray, pray, pray for them. Your tears and your heart felt prayers may be the very thing that touches heaven and can cause a change for their very lives. Think of it like this also...your intercession prayers just may be the answered prayer of that child's family member that prayed and prayed and prayed. To God be the GLORY.
