This Reflects Who I Was As A Writer When My Son Created This Picture In My Journal

November 1, 1996 @ 11:15 AM

As I sit in the living presence of the Lord at St. Paul's Shrine I wait to attend 1st Friday confession. I was blessed once this day with receiving the Lord Jesus Christ in the eucharist this holy day, All Saints Day.

Are we not all called to be a saint? To live with and be amongst the saints? The answer My dear and precious children in Christ is "yes." Shout this from the rooftops with gladness in your hearts and voices. Above all things on this earth you walk upon-give praise and honor and glory to My Almighty Father now and forever. Amen.

Come children that thirst and hunger for new life a life in the spirit of God-come, come, come-have not no fears lift them up to Me-Me being Christ Jesus. I can and will take all from you that blocks your road to live the life of a saint, do we not all have this calling let Me set you free...

At this point I then created an image in my journal. In this illustration I was guided to place upon the paper it is explained to me that the 1st figure is that of the Holy Spirit the Paraclete of God, in which light and splendor are blessed upon us all. Below the Holy Spirit is the cross in which our Lord Jesus Christ died upon. "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews." (INRI) Surrounding the cross above, below, and on each side are droplets of water. Cleansing and healing all for Christ Jesus suffered and died upon this cross to wash away our sins. To cleanse our souls. Let Him into your heart to do great works. Works that can only be accomplished through the blessings of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit all united as one. Praises to our King on high. I love you trinity, I trust you trinity, I believe you trinity, I praise you trinity, and above all, I adore you trinity.

I then signed it: In peace I write this day.

My Writing Style May Change A Bit Here And There

You may see a different side of me here and there. I feel led to start sharing a bit of my "raw" journal entries to give you a flavor of who I was when I started to write. I was very much Catholic and very devoted to the Catholic faith when I began my journey. I would say I was a bit mixed up also back then. I use to go and have my tarot cards read; I would attend a monthly cleansing/healing event at the woman's home where I would go to have my cards read; and my former husband also gifted me with a past life regression session with a person. You need to know that I regressed to no where and that was a total waste of his money. How could I regress to somewhere I never was? Satan is very sly and clever, take warning so as to not fall for his traps. Even though I was very religious so to speak I also had angel cards of my own that I read. Another deceitful trick of the enemy. You think they are OK because it says Angel in the title. Remember, there were 1/3 of the angels that fell from heaven with satan. Do not fall for another sly trick of the enemy.
I was never told by the Catholic Church that I wasn't suppose to do that. I was also never told by them or encouraged back then to read my bible. It was when the Holy Spirit prompted me to start reading the bible that I began to question doctrine's of the Catholic faith, i. e. that there is no purgatory or you cannot pay or burn candles or pray for a deceased person once they die. I later came to realize that once you take that last breath of life your decision you made while you were on earth alive is the determining factor of where you will be for all of eternity.
At that point in my life I prayed the rosary frequently and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, fasting, and at one point I received daily communion for one year. It was at this time in my life that I frequented a local shrine and found peace there. It was not the priests per say that told me to not have my tarot cards read, etc. It was a concerned nun that one day asked me what I was going to do for the weekend. I replied that I was going to go to a healing session at the lady's home that read my tarot cards. I will never forget the stern look on her face and the tone in her voice when she told me to go right to confession and to never ever go back there. I did what she told me to do and I never went back. God used her in a mighty way to get me off of the beaten path and onto His path. I will periodically visit there in the gift shop and chat with Sister a bit if she is there.
You need to know that at that point in my life I was searching for more than what I had in my life. Be very cautious because that is when I was deceived in thinking that doing tarot cards and reading a book like The Celestine Prophecy was all good. It was not and when I received knowledge I began to clean out my home of all of that bad stuff. I remember purchasing a scarab bracelet from a jewelry store and it had gemstones in it. The Holy Spirit dealt with me about that one day to throw it away. I was going to just throw it in the trash and he reminded me to dismantle it so no one else would find it and get lured in by it's beauty. I dismantled it and out in the trash it went. Once I received knowledge I wanted to live a true life with the leading of the Holy Spirit. I do believe I am where I am today because of the obedience I chose to follow back then.
On occasion, you will see a drawing from my journal. Today, you see a picture my daughter drew in my journal entry that I will share today. I encouraged my children to draw and be a part of my books. You will eventually see a drawing that my son drew of an angel. I look forward to sharing these with you. Let your children be a part of what you do. My son drew more than my daughter did. This may be the only picture she drew now that I think of it. It does not matter to me if there is one or twenty pictures drawn in my journal books, it is the idea that they were drawn and they are now a part of who I am through my writing. Again, I encourage you to let your children be apart of what you do if they have an interest.
This is how I wrote on 6/9/1996 @ 3:20 PM:
Ah, what a glorious day to be alive and living a most beautiful day in he eyes of the Catholic Church. Corpus Christi, the feast of the body and blood of Jesus Christ. If I'm not mistaken we as Catholics celebrate this feast day. Other religions do not partake in this particular day of celebration. My heart wants to jump out and shout 'praise be the Lord now and forever,' but my mind becomes saddened for this glorious feast is only shared within my religion. I have friends That are of different faiths or I should say religions and my heart becomes burdened with the thought, why cannot they share in this wonderful day of celebration?
It makes not sense to me dear and gracious Lord for we are many parts-we are all one body and one body being the key to all of this. When you look back in the bible it does not speak of 200 and some different religions in which our world has to date. It is of one religion, one religion I repeat again... why so many where there is one Lord our King of Kings our Lord of Lords?
When you come again I know in my heart and in my mind there will be one religion again. All religions will blend together as one. All religions have many qualities, all will come together and "blend together." Praise be the Lord. All religions also have negative problems and concerns it will be as though they melted away. For we all come together for one reason to give praise to the Lord not only my Lord or the Lutheran Lord, oh no, our Lord, the Lord that loved us so much He humbled himself to send to our world His Son to save us all. To set us free. He wasn't just sent to one group He was sent for all. All that opened their hearts to hear the word of God and repent and to live a Christian life.
Different religions evolved because of not liking or not wanting to go along with the true teachings of the bible. So many men/women so many different thoughts and ways of doing things. Letting our humanness take over and not giving up total will to the Lord has brought about all of this. How unfortunate for coming together as one united is what will bring the peace in the world and in our hearts and beings. Not toys, or jobs or vacations will bring about all of this, oh no, united worship and taking and sharing of the true bread and drink of life. The eucharist, the living presence of our Lord. To embrace and take with us as we leave the church. Allowing Christ Jesus to totally consume you so that the peace can truly flow. Praise be the Lord. The Father, Son & Holy Spirit all in one, this glorious day as I write this by the Great Lake Erie May peace fill troubled hearts this day and always.
The picture you see was drawn the next day by my daughter. I still remember the excitement in her for the Olympic Torch was coming past our street in our very neighborhood. We went up to the top of our street to witness as the runner went past with the torch in their hand. Imagine that, in Euclid, Ohio.
I trust you will enjoy getting to know a different part of my life as a Catholic writer many years ago. I will share this with you. I was raised and attended Catholic grade school, an all girls Catholic High School and then to a Catholic University. Being raised in Catholicism taught me to follow order and have discipline to a degree and to respect men and women in the religious order. I know others look upon the Catholic religion as a bunch of rules and ritual practices so to speak but I will tell you that they have a respect for holiness and they are devout. It was my upbringing that allows me to be a determined follower of Jesus now. I am thankful of my upbringing and for the many sacrifices of my mother to allow us to attend the schools that we attended. She sacrificed so we could be raised with discipline, respect, and morals.

Here's A Great One From 10/13/1996

10/13/1996

On this glorious day the Lord has called upon me to write. To remove my ego, opinion, and thoughts. To let them rest for a few moments. To let the words and wisdom of the Holy Spirit pour out onto the paper that this pen so graciously flows upon.
This day My children in the Lord, open wide your hearts, minds, and lives. Turn them over to Me. Open up more; many have started on this journey with Me. Let Me touch your lives, let Me fill them with the tender love and peace, a peace deep within your being that only can be obtained by Me, with Me, and through Me. Give all to Me. I died upon the cross so each and every one of you may live and walk upon the earth. Treasure the love that reigns within your heart, for a heart filled with love comes from pureness and beauty.
If you walked down a path that was filled with darkness and despair, it was lonely and bleak. I can bring the light, the true light of healing and love back into your life. For as you walk down this path the brighter the light shall become just open your hearts, minds, bodies, and lives to Me. Let Me through the healing power of the Holy Spirit touch your being. Go forth now My children in Christ to spread the good news “Christ the Lord has risen on high.”

Don't Look Back, Leap Forward With Joy

A few short years ago I had a dream. As I revisit this dream I am reminded to not look back on things in my life but to look forward and advance forward. It is OK to remember things of the past that the Lord did for you or touched your life in a special way. It is not OK to yearn to go back and live where you lived a day, month, year, or years ago. Do not be tempted with that for it is far greater to walk on the journey that leads you closer to the goal or destiny for your life. Things may have seemed like they were much more fun back then. In reality the best is truly yet to come if you continue to advance forward and not creep backwards. Does that make sense? Equate it to this...say you are a photographer and you are very talented and considered an expert in this area. You must have had the desire inside of you since you were a young child to take photographs more than likely, right? Well, if you look back on your childhood years they probably seemed to be much more fun than maybe your life right now is that fair to say? As children we play and dream of what we will do when we grow up and then play some more. You may have even had a camera that you received as a gift and took a few pictures of people back then. Now, in the present season of your life you cultivated that natural talent of taking photographs and now you are walking in that destiny or on the path to the destiny. If you look back and yearn for those childhood days filled with fun and worry free it would take you away from what you have achieved so far in your life. It is OK to look back with fond memories but it is more exciting to look forward with anticipation of what the next day holds for you and your life. Another new opportunity to capture someones smile, a somber moment, the stillness of the leaves in a tree when the day is lacking of strong winds. What about that most beautiful rainbow in the sky or the very moment when the light streams though a break in the clouds? The talent you have today far surpasses the raw talent you had as a child photographer. So why would you want to look back and yearn for those days when truly the best and most perfect days are just ahead of you. It is so close to you that if you reached out a hand you would almost be able to grab onto it. Hang in there and keep advancing forward because when I look into the sky and see a break and stream of light come forth in the midst of clouds that is when I say to myself that must be grace. Remember what I told you grace stands for:
Gods
Royalty
Administered
Creativity

Prophetic Dream From 12/26/05
The early morning of Christmas Eve Day, I awoke from a prophetic dream. I was uneasy about the nature of the dream until the Holy Spirit gave me the interpretation…
I appeared to look like I had wealth, but I knew the dream was of my current time in life. My situation now. A man followed me and I ducked into an apartment building. There was a wood frame door with a glass window as the inside part of the door. I was on the side of the door on the stoop of the inside entrance way of the apartment. The man was on the outside of the door. I was able to see his profile, messy, sandy, light brown hair. The only thing between us was the door. I had a choice to make, either take a chance and go past this man outside or go up 7 steps to an all white door to let you into the apartment complex. I took the chance and went outside because I was afraid of the unknown past the white door, not knowing the people there was fear.
The man robbed me and I said to him I only have $262.00 and that was my rent money. He gave me something back and I don’t remember what it was. The next thing I knew he was behind some news stand outside the apartment and I distinctively saw a man with dark hair peak around the corner and I know he saw the incident. I went into the agency where he was and I had to walk through stuff that reminded me of muck to get to him. When I reached him, he told me he didn’t see anything and he couldn’t help me.

The Holy Spirit then showed me what was behind the white door if I would have went forward instead of behind me…
There was floral wallpaper and a woman with blonde hair approached me with a smile. Then there was a tall man with dark hair that looked like Ted Danson approach me with two bags of gifts for me…

The Holy Spirit showed me not to go back but to move ahead, forward. There are gifts waiting for me, not to be afraid of moving forward. It’s not good to go “back.” The man was from an agency that’s suppose to help people i.e. Department of Jobs and Family Services. I had to go through all kinds of muck to get to the employee and even at that, he couldn’t/wouldn’t help me.

A dear friend gave me further interpretation of the dream:
Giving me courage in the dream to let me not miss things that God has for me.
2 witness Father/Son
6 human, man
2 witness Father/Son
10 God’s government, the government is on God’s shoulders
The number 7 is perfection

My daughter has always loved taking photographs. She recently sent me a photograph she took with the comment on the back stating that it almost looked like a post card. I am going to include this photograph today to give you a peek at hope.

Make Sure That The Voice You Hear Is That Of The Shepherd.

John 10: 1-13: "I can guarantee this truth: The person who doesn't enter the sheep pen through the gate but climbs in somewhere else is thief or a robber. But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep respond to his voice. He calls his sheep by name and leads them out of the pen. After he has brought out all his sheep, he walks ahead of them. The sheep follow him because they recognize his voice. They won't follow a stranger. Instead, they will run away from a stranger because they don't recognize his voice. Jesus used this illustration as he talked to the people, but they didn't understand what he meant.
Jesus emphasized, "I can guarantee this truth: I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before I did were thieves or robbers. However, the sheep didn't respond to them. I am the gate. Those who enter the sheep pen through me will be saved. They will go in and out of the sheep pen and find food. A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came so that my sheep will have life and so that they will have everything they need.
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. A hired hand isn't a shepherd and doesn't own the sheep. When he sees a wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and quickly runs away. So the wolf drags the sheep away and scatters the flock. The hired hand is concerned about what he's going to get paid and not about the sheep."
I believe that says it all and there is no need to write anymore than what is already written.

My Prayer For Pastors In This Region

Pastors, my hearts cry to you at the end of this day as it is closing out to the dawn of a new day is to continue to reach out to the lost and dying. Stay strong in the Lord. Keep strong in the word of God and do not let cheaters get away with cheating you or others in your congregations. We are about to embark on a new day dawning and the fruit of the Holy Spirit must be much more pronounced now than days of before for what is about to hit the earth as we know it. Not a bad thing but a thing that will bring the church to stand and rise up to walk in their destiny. How exciting is that?
My prayer for pastors in this region is: Heavenly Father I come to you this day with a song of praise in my heart for this is the day that you have made and I have and will continue to rejoice and be glad in it. I thank you that I arose this day and the breath of life was inside of me to go forth in another day to be a blessing to someone. You are faithful. I lift up pastors in the region today. Lord I ask you to be a blessing upon them and give them incredible wisdom, guidance, direction, and protection. Let them guard their hearts and minds against the random yet daily thoughts of the enemy as he searches and roars frantically to find one that he can empower with negative thoughts . Keep their hearts guarded from wicked things and people and place around them people that truly love the Lord and are true followers of Jesus. Not just in deed and action but also their hearts are full of the love of God. Let the weary pastors be strengthened and refreshed. Restore the house of the Lord and let the church be a blessing within their communities. Restore the hearts of pastors in which they may have become a bit hardened and renew that tender heart in them. Let peace fill and flood their sanctuaries and altars. Again, I say peace to all. Amen.

I Received A Valuable Piece Of Wisdom The Other Day

The other day I had a conversation with an older person from New York. We started the conversation and it was interrupted by him because he had to complete a task and he asked me to call him back. As we conversed I knew there would be more to this conversation than the purpose of the telephone call. I called him back on time when he asked me to call back. I kept hearing the Holy Spirit nudging me to ask him if his profession was that of a lawyer. Did you ever have a refreshing and intelligent conversation with someone in which you just knew they were refined in culture and in their ways? That is what I experienced the other day. I wish I had lots of time to let this conversation go on longer because it was so refreshing to talk with this man.
The main purpose of our conversation was completed and I asked the question of him, if he was an attorney before he retired. His response was no. Since I learned about "probing" the other day at work I continued on to ask him if he was then a professor. His response was he inquired why I asked of these two professions. I told him it was a pleasure to speak with him and to have such a wonderful and intelligent conversation with really good insight. He began to share a bit of his story with me. I believe his heart was touched that I would hold him in the classification of both professions in my inquiry. This is what he shared with me. He did not finish high school. He was in the fashion industry in New York City. He started out in manufacturing and worked his way up the ladder in the industry. He was a part of all different price structures of various lines of clothing.
This is the valuable piece of information he gave to me...when he would hire someone or work with them he did not base his hiring just alone on their grade point average or if they had schooling credentials or not. He told me he went with his gut instinct and if they had that "spark in their eyes." He was looking for the creativity in the person that he would be able to pull that out of them and work with them. You know what I am talking about. The type of person that when you are having a conversation with them you can just see their mind racing and the wheels of creativity are turning while you speak. Thoughts just keep pouring out of them and it is as if their thoughts are rapidly coming out of them because the creativity button so to speak has been turned on inside of them and it flows out of them so quickly that it is probably hard for you at times to keep up with their conversation . They are the type of person that also sparks the creativity in you to come forth and you find yourself wanting to create when you are around this person. That is a good business connection. That type of person is someone that you can work with because they are flowing in their area of gifting and they at times just need someone that recognizes this to temper them and draw it out of them and release them so to speak to create. Those creative ideas could be the next great artist or writer or sales person you could ever have working, with you as their mentor.
When you think of it like that it is pretty important as a hiring manager to really take the time in the hiring process. If they are of soundness of mind and you see the spark of creativity inside of them and they are a person of integrity then do you not have an obligation to give them a try as an employee? I do not know the answer to that question only you can be the judge of that. Creativity in some people not only needs to be cultivated you will probably have to work with them to get more structure in their life at some point because a creative mind wants to just do, do, do. Doing is fine don't get me wrong, it just needs to be tempered so they are not spinning their wheels so to speak and your job is to funnel the "doing" so it works for them and not against them.
The conversation continued and I shared with him that a former boss of mine (which is an executive of a very large organization) once told me his knowledge he accrued throughout the years in the hiring process. He found it to be that the most successful people were the employees believe it or not that had grade point averages in the "C" range from college as opposed to the "A" range. He went on to tell me that they were the better employees that worked for him throughout the years. Please do not misconstrue what I am saying and only hire people with 2.5 gpa's, it is a gut instinct that you need to follow also. There are unfortunately a lot of con artists out their that fudge their resumes and even their schooling credentials. If a person is honest and sincere they will carry along with them when they interview a copy of their transcripts with the official school seal on it. It is also prudent and wise to possibly do a credit/background check on a potential employee. In some instances it will reveal a lot more information on them. If there is something that is questionable in their check then give them the opportunity to explain what was going on in their life during that time.
When my father owned properties and I managed an apartment complex I always did a credit check on the person. If a person experienced hardship in their life due to a divorce or illness or some valid reason I would let them explain to me and I would take that under advisement along with my gut instinct. The people that brought the "red flag" warning to me were the ones that owed the government back taxes from years ago that never paid them or student loans they skipped on, etc. Those are the kind of things that you should pay attention to. If they don't/didn't feel it was important to meet those obligations or attempt to make them right then how will they treat you and your company? Do you see what I am saying? Follow the pattern. Only once did I get burned so to speak with allowing a tenant to move in when they conned me with their sob story and I went against my gut instinct back then. The lesson learned was it was much harder to get rid of them once they moved in. I would have not had to deal with that situation if I would have just followed my gut instinct to begin with. A part of growth is the learning curve in which each one of us have to experience. There will be hits and misses in life. Let me share this with you.. of all of the misses you may experience it just takes the one hit you take a chance on and it is so worth it that it seems to wipe out all of the past misses in life.
Lesson learned...follow your gut instinct if you are vacillating on hiring a person. Now the even bigger lesson in all of this is that you better have a really good prayer life and are reading your bible because it is the Holy Spirit that sometimes will give you the knowledge you need and to ask a particular question of the person that you would have not normally asked to get the information you need. Does that make sense?
You see, I would not be able to write on this subject today if I did not follow the prompting of the Holy Spirit to probe and ask the questions at the almost seeming end of the conversation. Just by asking the right questions it took the conversation in another direction in which I was able to leave the conversation with wonderful knowledge/wisdom given to me. I then thanked the man and said that I will hang onto that wisdom for I will need to use it in the future one day. He also thanked me for thinking he was the caliber of an attorney or a professor. It was a true pleasure to speak with such a man that was refined in the words he chose to speak with and the perspective he gave when answering my questions.

Hang Onto HOPE It Is Here

This is short and sweet today. I was listening to a song about the birth of a child. You probably know by now with how I write that the child was not just any child it was Jesus. In a brief moment the Holy Spirit reminded me that Mary was just about to give birth to the son of God and do you not think that she may have had a doubt or two in her mind that she is about to give birth and there was no place for her to give birth for this child that would save the world?
It is natural to have these thoughts now and then just do not hang onto them. The place was already prepared for her where she was suppose to birth the child. God was faithful and on time and He delivered to them a place to birth the child, our Lord and Savior, Jesus. Hang in there OK. It may not look like it in the natural when you look through the eyes of man that it is suppose to be this way. TRUST and obey for it truly is the only way. In a moment of doubt ask the Holy Spirit to show you something through His eyes and not through your natural eyes does that make sense? I have done this before and when you take your eyes off of the situation and place them on Jesus He is faithful and will show you it in a different perspective. When you get the revelation you will sit back in amazement and wonder of how creative the Holy Spirit really is. He has good and lovely plans for your life. Don't let go now. Hang on and see before your very eyes the wonders God has in store for you. Far greater than you can even imagine.

God Is Faithful, Ever SO FAITHFUL

Wow! What a glorious morning and start to my day. I was up early creating a bracelet for someone as a thank you gift. I created a bracelet for a woman that blessed me with a pasta machine. I guess I am going to make homemade pasta. I have made homemade noodles before but that was with rolling out the dough with a rolling pin and then hand cutting the noodles. Now, I have a machine that will roll the dough and then cut it to whatever my hearts desire is in making. That is wonderful. I then was vacillating whether or not to go walking this morning. I almost didn't but then something inside of me said go and walk. I did and was surprisingly blessed with what I saw.
My all time favorite things to see in field country are the planting in the spring and the harvesting of the crop in the fall. I live by a farm and I was becoming quite concerned that the corn was not harvested yet. I kept thinking to myself why would anyone invest the expense of planting a field and then let the crop wither away and lose the harvest.
At work this week I learned the importance of "probing" for answers when having a conversation with a person. The definition of probing means to examine or investigate thoroughly. That is what I did today. As I walked I was blessed with seeing the corn being harvested. I saw a man that worked for the farm and asked the questions I always thought about when I would drive past farms. It was not too late to harvest the crop, last years crops were being harvested throughout the winter into March. It is very costly every aspect of farming, I was told also when I commented that the big machines they use to harvest are expensive. I inquired about the huge tires that are on the machines. It was explained to me that the way they are made is because there will come a point when it is important for them to float on the ground so to speak when later on the ground may become wet and you do not want a tire sinking into the ground. This corn that was harvested will be used for a variety of things such as corn meal. The best part of this experience was as I stopped to talk with this man the big harvest machine, I think it is called a combine, was coming in from the field to unload the corn. I got to watch the corn be released from the combine and pour into a big truck. It was the neatest experience to see this. As I was standing there and the corn was being fed into the truck it was as if little flakes of corn so to speak were raining down in the sky. As I walked back home I was so thrilled that the Lord remembered me and how I wanted to see the harvest this year and I did!!!
As I write this I still have a few flecks of the corn flakes (not the stuff in the box that you eat for breakfast) in my hair. Did you know that it does not produce a better crop if you do not till or turn the soil over after the harvest? There are apparently two schools of thought when it comes to this. I always thought that the farmers that turned the soil over after the harvest would have better crops the next season. Not so, from what I learned today. Again, all I can say is that God is faithful. He really does listen to the desires of your heart it is a matter of you being willing to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit to get to where you need to go and do what you need to do to be placed in the position to receive those desires in your heart. Are you willing to follow the promptings of the Lord today? I did and I am glad that I did.

Remember To Pray For College Students This Week

If you have a child that attends or know of a student that attends a college that is on semesters, you may want to pray for them this week. It is quite possible that it may be Finals Week for them. Think back on when you were in college. Finals week can be hectic and filled with a lot of last minute reports being completed, cramming for that last final test to close out the semester, and lack of sleep to fulfill all that needs to be done.
If you have a child in college at this time this is a great suggestion. If you are local and within driving distance to where your child attends college why not prepare a great home cooked meal and bless them with it. Who doesn't like Mom's cooking especially when it is prepared with love? Now, don't let me exclude Dad's cooking also. There may be some Father's out there that enjoy cooking also. If they have a roommate or two don't forget to prepare enough for them also. You never know if that roommates parents are not physically able to prepare a meal for their child so why not bless them for their parents. Remember, that kindness you extended to a college student could be the very thing they needed to encourage them for the week. These are the children that are being raised up in universities across our land to be the decision makers of the future. If you show them kindness now they just may remember that kindness when they are in a position someday to make and put into effect laws that will either benefit or hinder us. When you think of it on that scale it would definitely cause you to seek out college students you know within your family circle and bless them.
Even a gift card to Starbucks or other local coffee shops would be a blessing also. What about that homemade care package you create for your child and bless them with it during finals week. Most colleges offer pre-made care packages designed for finals week. If you are not creative or in a position to make one on your own then go ahead and take advantage of the universities package and send it. They usually allow a note card to be written by you and send it to encourage your child. Whatever the option is that you choose follow through with it and call your child today and tell them that you love them and you are cheering for them and encourage them that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them.
You may be scouting out colleges/universities for a child that is about to attend a school in the Fall. I would recommend searching for the right school for your child by asking the Lord to let you see each university/college you visit through the eyes of Christ. In the natural we may just see a beautiful campus with a lovely neighborhood surrounding it. A great list of professors on staff and the roster. There is more to seeking out a school for your child than the obvious things. Seek the Lord for wisdom to see what the talent is in your child. He will show you where the best opportunity for your child to go, advance, grow and receive what is needed in their life to equip them for their journey. At times, if you have a very mature child they may already know where that location is. In most cases though it is up to the parent to make the final decision as to where to send that child. The Lord really does speak to parents in this respect. He sees the bigger picture when it comes to the safety of your child and even the children that will live in the very dorm your child lives in. He knows already of the temptations that are out there that may cause your child to stumble. Do not underestimate the wisdom of God that He will give to you if you just ask Him for it OK.
I have very fond memories of my college days and still keep in contact with a few friends that I met while attending college. I was one of those children that would have been lost at a very large state college/university, I needed a smaller campus setting where there was more of a personal touch in the student /teacher ratio. Each child requires something different for their personality and nature of study. One of my children chose a large university and the other chose a smaller university. Remember, each child will not fit into the mold of the sibling per say. Let them be who they are called to be. Now, that is not the general rule of thumb though. My sister and I both attended the same university. We had a choice given to us. It was either to attend a state school and get a car and commute to school or attend the smaller, private university and live on campus. The choice was quite obvious to me, live on campus and have the opportunity to grow up. Whatever the choice may be enjoy the experience of scouting out schools with your child. It is even OK to take siblings along for the ride when you scout out these schools. You know, through the eyes of a child they may see something totally different than that teenager or parent sees. Don't forget this also, when your child is at college it is OK to let your younger-age appropriate children attend a siblings weekend with their brother or sister. Make sure that the child you are sending them to be with for the weekend is responsible and will look out for the best interest of their little brother/sister, that is just as important.
Be a part of your child's college experience, you'll be glad you did. They may think they are adults when they leave home to attend school but the reality of it is that they are still a child and love to hear that their parents are thinking of them and love them and are their biggest encourager's/fans.

Happy Hanukkah

Well, it feels like it has been an eternity since I have been at the computer writing for this blog. I have had several distractions that kept me from writing. Guess what? I am back on track again. Praise God. Let me tell you about something that happened to me today. If you look at the picture of the bracelet that I have posted on this page you will know what I am referencing OK.
Several weeks ago my mother told an acquaintance that I was going to make a bracelet for her. At the time I piped up and said 'I only make bracelets for those that the Holy Spirit prompts me to make them for.' I never thought anything of it since then until today that is. As I was driving into work today I felt the Holy Spirit asking me if I would give it up and give it away to the woman I referred to earlier. I remember saying 'not that one, I love this bracelet.' As I was driving I looked down at it briefly and remembered that the two seed pearls in the bracelet had a special meaning to me. My father gifted me with a beautiful necklace that was a strand of seed pearls from Hawaii. He purchased it for me when he was on a trip in Hawaii. The strand broke and I strung it and put a beautiful clasp on it and gifted it to my mother. As I strung the pearls, a few I kept for myself to create in this bracelet. I think I said to the Holy Spirit "No, not this bracelet I love this bracelet. It has in it the pearls my father gave to me.' I think I even got tears in my eyes and said again 'please not this bracelet." It still is a little tender for me as I write about this I even have tears in my eyes now.
I know my heavenly Father's voice and the prompting of the Holy Spirit and I said OK I will give it to this woman as a blessing. Before I went into work I looked at it in my car and the way the light was streaming in it caused the Swarovski crystal to shine so beautiful. I then took a picture or two of it to have as a memory. I made it to match an outfit and a blazer that I wear with this particular outfit. I remember when I created this bracelet just looking at it in wonder of the beauty and how creative the Holy Spirit is when He inspired me in the creation of this. I went into work and shared with this woman that I was right when I said I would not make a bracelet for her because it was already made for me to give to her and bless her. She did not want to accept it at first and I explained to her about receiving a blessing and that the Lord showed me to give it to her. The Holy Spirit already knew the day that I would give it to her because it was just the other day that I made notice that she wears black and pink a lot. I was already starting to think to myself that I do not have enough stones in those colors to make a bracelet. I did not have to because it already sat in my jewelry box.
When a person holds onto an object their hand is postured in a position with the hand clenched close. How can that very hand be in a position to receive if it is closed. So, with the act of giving to another you just opened your hand to let go of it. Your hand is now free and open to receive. Does that make sense?

It Is Better To Write And Be Obedient Than To Retire For The Evening And Not Write What Has Been Placed Upon My Heart Throughout The Day

I was about to retire for the evening and I thought I was not going to write today. Wrong. Throughout the day I thought about what was taught today at church. It was not a constant, steady thinking of these thoughts that would come to my mind they would just come and go. Let me share a bit with you what was taught in our final class today. I am thankful thank for all of the biblical wisdom and insight that was shared with us for the last several weeks. What I share with you comes from the notes given/taken as we were taught. This weeks subject was on Eternal Rewards and Divine Judgment. There is the Judgment Seat of Christ and The Great White Throne of Judgment.
The judgment seat of Christ is the judgment of believers, it is not on the basis of salvation but on the basis of rewards. Every believers works will be judged. Some believers will receive rewards while some believers will lose their rewards (not salvation.) There will be eternal crowns:
Crown of Rejoicing: Better known as a soul winners crown. He puts people in your life that need the gospel of Christ for you to be a faithful witness. Some will plant, water, or harvest. All will receive a crown because each phase of a person giving their heart to Jesus plays a part in that persons salvation so to speak.
Incorruptible Crown is given to those who resist temptation, those that resist giving up. In this group it separates the possessors from the pretenders.
Crown of Glory: How faithful we are to the word of God and the church. "Faithful pastors crown." This is for people that shepherd people faithfully. You do not have to be a pastor only to receive this crown.
Crown of Righteousness: For those that have lived in light of Christ's imminent return. For those that live a life above reproach and they really believe that Jesus is coming back. Examine yourself to see if you need to get rid of things in your life before Christ comes back.
Crown of Life: Also known as the "Martyr's Crown. Given to those that have given their life for the sake of the gospel.
Crowns are a symbol of authority and therefore, it is wise to assume that the crowns represent the authority that believers will have during the millennium. These crowns are a symbol of the authority when you will rule and reign with Jesus during the millennium.
When we were taught about the rewards we will receive the teacher touched on something that struck an interest in me. As a believer we will be judged on how much we have suffered for Christ. There will be a reward for persecution you suffered for Christ. You know this can come in the form of your family dealing it out to you or an employer or potential employer also. Any form of persecution that comes into your life because of the gospel message of Jesus you take to others. This is where I became intrigued...He mentioned that you can actually not be promoted with a company when they know where you stand as a Christian. You are sort of the wet blanket on the sin in the organization. You are not a drinker so there goes the fun at the so-called holiday gatherings why would they put you in a position of advancement if you will not partake in the sin so to speak. Another valid point brought up was that you may not be hired to begin with because you may not be the sort of person(woman) that will sleep with someone to get ahead in the organization. I had no clue that things like this exist in the real world. I really must live a sheltered life. It caused me to open my eyes. If a woman is a true Christian she will take a stand and not tolerate this sort of behavior. I am still floored by the fact/idea that a woman even though she has impeccable credentials would not be hired because she does not have the potential to sleep around to get the job or once in the organization to advance herself. Do people actually operate like this?
Now, onto the Great White Throne of Judgment:
This is the judgment of all NON-BELIEVERS. Jesus Christ will be the judge. They are judged not for salvation but on the degree of their works. All unbelievers will be sentenced to hell. There are degrees of punishment in hell. Christ will justly sentence a person with certain degrees of punishment.
The unbelievers degree of punishment will be based on:
conscience; the words spoken (idle words); public and secret works; and whether their name is written in the Book of Life. The bible is very clear that salvation is only found through Jesus Christ. Now is the acceptable time to receive salvation and there are no second chances, there is no purgatory. The duration of the punishment is eternal. Think about this fact, that eternity is a very long time with no end to it. It will go on and on and on and on without end. Again, I propose to you the question, Where would you like to spend eternity? In heaven or suffer with punishment in hell forever?
You can know for sure that you are going to heaven when either you die or the rapture occurs if you admit you are a sinner. You are willing to turn from your sin. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, He was buried and rose from the dead. Invite Jesus into your heart and life to be your Lord and Saviour through a prayer that you pray in your heart and confess it with speaking it out loud.
Holy Spirit be with the people that invite Jesus into their hearts let them see and experience that Jesus is real and seal the words in their heart that have been spoken. Go ahead, you can do it. It really is a gift freely given to you so you will not perish in hell. Open your heart up to Jesus and invite Him in. Once you say this simple prayer in an act of faith you can then know for sure 100% that you are going to heaven either when you die or when the rapture occurs. I thank you Lord a million thanks for those that accepted You into their hearts this very night/day. Amen.

I Am SOOOO Proud Of My Daughter

I received the best text message followed up with a phone call on Thanksgiving Day. My daughter hosted her first Thanksgiving dinner party. I am so proud of her. She cooked a turkey before her own mother has actually had the chance to make a turkey, way to go sweetie. She really is the best. She had seven people over for dinner and her friends also helped with bringing items also. You see, if you raise up a child in the right way they really will do OK, correction, far better than us as parents can even imagine. I am just so proud of her. Hand claps for you sweetie you beat mommy to the challenge of making a turkey and entertaining your guests all on the same day.
As a parent how do you top that, you don't. Isn't that what it's all about? I receive no greater pleasure than seeing my children excel in what they are called to do with their lives. That is how it is suppose to be. We train them and give them the opportunities to receive into their lives what is needed for them to grow up and do what they are called to do with their lives. On occasion I have taught my children different things in the realm of prayer, etc. I have no truer great pleasure than seeing them operate in the gift that is inside of them. It is really OK to not be selfish and let your children grow and prosper.
I have heard of stories in which a parent (for the sake of an example, their parent is a pastor) raises their children and a child or two are truly gifted to become a part of the ministry. Do you know that there are actually pastors out there that are jealous of their children advancing beyond that pastors career in the ministry? Is that not crazy? The greatest pleasure/honor should be for that very pastor to rejoice in their child's ability to advance and take the gospel message even farther than where the parent was able to take it. Again, that same pastor may have children within the family unit that are not called to preach, teach, evangelize, etc. and their gifting is within the business arena. Don't be pushing or shoving that child into the ministry per say when God has called them in a different direction OK. God can use that same child in the business arena to take the gospel message even farther than the one called to the ministry per say. Respect that in your child (children.) Raise them up in the ways of the Lord and let them be who God created them to be. Rejoice in their success with them and with the rest of your family. Do not just always give credit to the one doing the ministry because it is usually the one that is not necessarily called to the ministry that will do the mighty and great works for the kingdom of God.
Remember David in the bible? His father did not even think he was worthy of being placed before the prophet to be amongst the ones to be chosen as the next king. Take heed in that example. He was a great king and a mighty worshiper also. Just because a child is not demonstrative in praise and worship when he/she is around you or in a church service does not mean he/she is not a worshiper in their heart. Probably some of the loudest praisers around you may just be that in action. If/when you had the opportunity to truly get to know them you would discover they are just for show and no heart filled with praise and worship. Remember, He is looking for those that worship Him in spirit and in truth.
So, when you see a person worshiping the Lord be it in church, car, exercising with a headset or MP3 player playing, etc. you just do not know who the true worshiper really is. That is a heart matter and leave that one up to God because He knows who is real and who is phony. It is not for us to judge. I will give you a clue. If you are a true worshiper be it demonstrative or not you just know when you connect with a person, your spirit really does connect with another person in spirit that is a true worshiper. Be cautious because satan can send a false person to you. That is why it is imperative for you to stay in prayer/fasting/worship/bible to weed them out so as to not waste precious time with the false ones and miss out on the precious time with the true ones that will lift your spirit and encourage you to advance in the area that you are called to and not only advance but advance with success.

Yes Lord, I Will Feed Your Sheep

I awoke to these words this morning, "Do you love me? I replied, yes Lord I do and then I heard these words, Feed My Sheep." I was then led to Isaiah 3: 10. Remember, I am not the bible scholar so when I am directed to a scripture verse I have no clue as to what it is until I actually read it. I will tell you this much God is faithful to me in this respect. He proposed a question to me and sure enough look what the very word of God states in the scripture verse: "Tell the righteous that blessings will come to them. They will taste the fruit of their labor."

If you read on in the chapter it really is a warning of woe to those that are not righteous. Get your houses in order because the day of judgement comes sooner than you think it does. This is not the time to be merrymaking and drinking and sleeping around. Judgement is coming upon the people and you do not want to be a part of this that is to come forth. Again, I warn you to get your houses in order. Do not be left behind when Jesus comes to claim His own and we are raptured up into heaven to escape the terrible things that will hit the earth. People, if you have an ear to hear then hear what the spirit of the Lord is declaring to you this very day saith the Lord of Hosts. "Run to the altar and repent for the day of judgement is at hand. Do not repent with a false or smug heart it must be a heart with true repentance and cry out to Me to heal your wounds. Let not the hurts of family and friends and acquaintances cause your heart to be hardened to Me, Me being Jesus. I already fought the battles of life for you now step into the full armor of God and trudge forward to what I have called you to do in your life. No one can be held accountable for your mishaps or not completing your destiny in Me except for yourself. Is the grudge that you hold against another worth letting it all go in your life for the final demise of hell for eternity? Really examine your circle of friends and so-called friends (this can and most likely will include "church" people.) Time is near and short for My return and get what needs to be taken care of done so you can advance to the wonders and glory and miracles that are just ahead of you. Not just miracles for you per say but also miracles that will be brought forth through your hands. Be a blessing to others, examine your heart, let go of the anger and hurt, then receive the healing balm of Gilead and go forth with the love that I placed within your heart. A heart that is filled with love and peace and greatness to come forth. Trust and obey for it truly is the only way saith the Lord of Hosts."

Faith Without Works Is Dead

I am reminded of operating in faith. The word "operate" is a word that has an action behind it. To operate in my electronic dictionary states "to function effectively; work. To have an effect; act." If I am not mistaken this would be referred to as an action verb.
There was a small group last evening at our youth group. The youth leader taught on thanksgiving in our lives. We started out with having to find in the bible our favorite scripture that we are thankful for and read it and say why we are thankful for it. The children that attend are very astute to the things of God. They are a true blessing and it truly is my privilege and honor to be amongst them when I am able to attend their gatherings.
The youth pastor began to teach on prayer and what may happen sometimes when a prayer is not heard right away from God and answered. He gave an example of someone that had fear and they prayed and they prayed and they prayed and then it was answered. In the meantime this person was still thankful to God and prayed with a thankful heart in the process of waiting for the prayer to be answered. Now, another person comes along and they have fear. The person that had their fear taken away from them by God that persevered through prayer to God is now able to minister to the person before them that has fear. They can truly look this person in the eyes and say to them that they have been there before and knows what they are experiencing. The person that was set free of fear is now able to pray in faith for this person to have fear removed from their life. You can truly pray for another person with active faith when you went through something similar and you were delivered from it.
Each time you experience active faith your faith then in turn grows stronger and bigger. I like to think of it as the bible verse, "From glory to glory." It truly is. Each faith step seems to get bigger and stretch you more and more. That's OK that really is a good place to be. I will always look back upon one of those little faith stretches to stand upon when I am going through the larger faith steps now. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. I believe that if He did it in the past He will do it in the future and surely He will do it for me on that day also because the bible states that He will. Sometimes I can become a little impatient when I am in the midst of the faith walk situation. I attribute this to the prophetic gift that flows in me. I see things far in advance at times and I want it now when there really is a process to walking it out to bring glory and honor and again, ALL OF THE GLORY TO GOD. That is probably the area in which I struggle with the most. I also can get impatient with people that are not necessarily moving along quick enough to fulfill this. I need to work on this when it comes to areas of prophetic I look at it as cut and dry. You see what needs to be fulfilled just do it and I know that I need to cultivate the harshness of being so "on time" target so to speak. I must remember there are other peoples lives involved in this also and they need to grow in faith during this walk also. Forgive me anyone if you fell a victim to my rigidness at any time. I apologize.
At church I asked the youth to not call me Ms. Kim anymore weeks ago. I then requested that they call me Mrs. Kim. I explained to them that one day I will be married again and this is a part of the faith involved in this walk of mine. Some still call me Ms. Kim but there is one young man that faithfully calls me Mrs. Kim and at times I must admit it brings a smile to my face because he is so faithful to call me that. Even when we published our church cookbook I put faith in action again. I asked if it was OK to put just my first name only next to the recipes I submitted. That was honored. My thought on that is that one day I will be married and that cookbook will be in our home and I did not want to lock myself into my former husbands last name in a book that was published.
Last night at the close of our youth meeting the Holy Spirit put it upon my heart to dig through my purse to come up with $5.00 and give a dollar to each child that attended last night. I scrounged around and came up with the amount and two of the children had to receive theirs in change but hey a dollar is a dollar. I shared with them that sometimes when you are going through something and you are waiting for your answer it is always good to plant a seed into the lives of a person in which you are waiting upon yourself. An example...if you are not feeling well that is the most perfect opportunity to make/bake something and take it to a person that is sick. Even though you are sick you are reaching out to another in their time of need with faith to believe that you will be made whole. Another great example...if men or women are waiting upon the Lord for that spouse to come into their lives that is the most perfect opportunity for you to seek out godly married couples that have good, strong and solid relationships. Let them share with you so that when the time is right you will have been mentored by a couple that has a strong relationship not only with God but with each other. Let the Holy Spirit show you how you can plant a seed into their lives to bless them It can be something simple like baking/sharing a meal with them; getting them a gift card to do something fun; or even purchase an overnight stay for them somewhere at a bed-n-breakfast. If you really have big faith and are expecting big things to happen in your life then why not send them on a vacation somewhere! Remember, the Holy Spirit is giving you the idea are you willing to follow through? Again, a step in faith that has action behind it.
Back to my story about faith with the youth last night. As I distributed the money I shared with them that each and everyone of them is special in themselves and they will be able to reach people for Jesus that the person next to them won't be able to reach. I told them that I am planting the $1.00 seed of faith into their lives because I know each one of the children and their love of Jesus. I love the faith walk I truly do.
I truly trust that what I write and share with you is a blessing to you and hopefully you glean from my life and my life examples. Reach out today and not only be blessed but be a blessing to another. :)

I Did It

When I put something in my mind to complete I will rest only when it is accomplished. My latest task to be conquered was to make the horseradish sauce. I read about grating a fresh horseradish root on the Internet. The advice given was to grate it in a well ventilated room and to wear gloves when you grate it. The task was now at hand. I just love when the Holy Spirit gives me better ideas on how to go after something. The weather was beautiful the last few days. I was driving somewhere and I got the idea to grate the horseradish root in a very well ventilated room known as outside. That is exactly what I did. I brought everything outside and I did not need to wear gloves at all. I will tell you this it really is pungent and can be quite strong. I then mixed the rest of the ingredients and voila, I accomplished a task. One thing completed on my ongoing list of things I would like to do. Now, please do not think that this was some sort of a lifetime dream that I always wanted to do because it was not. When I see something and then I get the idea that I can create it I will go after it until it is done.
I have the perfect meal in the oven right now brisket of beef. I always remember the rule of thumb for cooking brisket...low and slow. This is a meal that the longer you have to let it cook on a low temperature in the oven the final result will be the most tender piece of meat. I cook mine with onion soup in which I grate a carrot into it. The carrot helps the natural juice thicken while it cooks. Sometimes I serve it with the natural juice and then other times I will make a gravy with the drippings. If I make a gravy I like to use Gravy Master. I made the horseradish sauce because I thought it would go well with the brisket. Like I said probably once before I really am a good cook. Tomorrows dinner will be delicious. I thought my son deserved a good home cooked meal when he comes home for a college break.
He and a friend stopped by yesterday. There is a friend of his at school that lives in the Akron area and she told him she was never on the west side of Cleveland. He decided to take her on a tour of the west side with the final destination being Vermilion.
OK , I got all of the light stuff out of the way. Now, onto the more serious stuff that is upon my heart today. Today in church it was a continuation in teaching us on Are We Living In The Last Days? This weeks lesson was on The Coming Judgment. It included the Seven Seal Judgments; Seven Trumpet Judgments; and the Seven Bowl Judgments. People that are reading and pondering about the things I write of I implore you to repent of your sins and ask Jesus into your heart. YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE LIVING ON THE EARTH WHEN ALL OF THIS STUFF HAPPENS. Change from your wicked ways and ask forgiveness of God and start living right before your family and God. If you do not know how to ask Jesus into your heart then I suggest you scroll upward to the top of this blog and read the comic book. Once you read it you will understand about salvation and there is a prayer at the end of the book. I am so confident that someone will read the book and accept Jesus into their heart that I will pray a prayer now for those that do. Lord Jesus I thank you in advance for those that will commit their hearts to You, a million thanks for salvation. Holy Spirit please seal the words that they speak when they invite Jesus into their heart. Become ever so real to them in their lives and teach them all of the wonderful things that you have taught me and then some throughout the years. I ask you to teach them much more rapid than the process is with me. Mine has been a gradual process in which I am continually learning and discovering different facets of the Holy Spirit. Let theirs be more expedient so to speak so they will not miss a beat of what you are doing on the earth right now. Amen.
When being taught on Seal 7, it introduces the seven trumpet judgments. The scripture verse was Revelation 8:1: "When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour." There was something he said that stayed with me a lot today. We have always been told and know heaven to be a place of worship on a continual basis right? I am a worshiper and that is probably why this touched my heart ever so. It must be something so very bad that it would cause heaven to be silenced for half an hour. Think about that, please. In all of Gods splendor and majesty and the beauty of heaven, where the saints live and worship our Lord and king it will become silent for a brief period of time. I implore you to choose life today in Jesus so you will not have to be on the earth to deal with all of this terrible, terrible, terrible stuff to come forth.
I love to worship the Lord and I can't even imagine what it will be like to not be able to worship Him for half an hour in heaven of all places.

I went to my favorite T.J. Maxx today and purchased a beautiful piece of jewelry from Israel. This particular artist creates with glass. I purchased the earrings a few days ago. I just love the color of blue that they are it is like robin egg blue. I found the necklace to go with the earrings. As I have mentioned before, I love making this trip to this store in Akron because I go past the rest area in which Jesus healed me one day in my car. He is a healer and creator of miracles. How can I not worship Him? My heart right now as I write is so filled with love that it brings tears to my eyes. Did you ever feel compelled to just fall to your knees and give thanks to God. You should try it. It may seem foreign to you at first but once you are postured on your knees the Lord sees your heart and how you approach Him with humbleness. I don't usually do this but for some reason or another I have done this twice now in the last few days. When I am on my knees all that comes forth is thanksgiving and gratitude for the love that He has shown me. Maybe this is why I am experiencing this and writing about it now because Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Be at peace with others and most importantly be at peace with yourself. Do not beat yourself up with thoughts of regret when you already asked forgiveness of Jesus for these things. Just move forward with a song of thanksgiving in your heart and it really is OK to make a joyful noise in the form of a song or two. It really does not matter if you do not have an opera voice sing anyway. God knows your heart and he doesn't hear the notes sung and condemn you that they are not perfect. What He really hears is the heart of the person and the words that come forth in the song. Thank God He's not only looking for perfected singing voices because I would not be on the "A" list so to speak. Well, I have to go now because the brisket is done now and I have to take it out of the oven. Good night or good day wherever you may be as you read this. Remember, in all things give thanks to God.

I Found A Senior Couple Today That Will Dance An Anniversary Waltz On Their Anniversary

I was most encouraged today when I spoke with a woman that told me her anniversary will be next week. I think she was 90 years old and when I asked her if she will dance an anniversary waltz on their anniversary she told me yes they will. She proceeded to share with me that they met via ballroom dancing. There is nothing more elegant/romantic than when a man and woman are dressed up and gliding across the dance floor to the rhythm of a waltz. At the very right moment the gentle yet graceful spin. Such a great opportunity for the woman and man to look into each others eyes as the music and their bodies sway together in sync. When you are in the arms of the right man that can lead you in a waltz it is likened to a conductor leading that most wonderful symphony. Each instrument played on their own is nice but there is nothing quite exhilarating than when the symphony combines all of their talents together in one accord. Each member of the symphony has specific roles to play and parts that need to be practiced on their own. It is in the combining of all the members together in one accord that is when the real magic so to speak happens. A person in the audience can escape and enter into the rhythm of the music. Music is a wonderful thing on its own. It is much more fun when it is coupled with dance rhythms.
I once wrote about a man and woman when they are dressed elegantly. I wrote this 3/9/96:

"I started the day at a retreat. Just before the close of the retreat each person was handed a scroll with the words of the song ,"The Rose" by Bette Midler. Father played the tape and how beautiful the words "Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snow lies the seed that with the sun's love in the spring becomes the rose."
I love to dance and more specific I love to dance the waltz. Such a graceful and romantic dance when you are with the right partner it is as if you are just gliding on top of a cloud. As I sit at a coffee shop enjoying my tea, I looked out the window and saw many in tuxedo's walk by. There must be a formal dinner party taking place tonight. There's something about a gentleman dressed in a tuxedo. Something so very proper and elegant at the same time. This brings to mind the benefit that is coming up. When I go I wish to feel as elegant and feminine at the same time as the way a gentleman looks in a tuxedo.
When people dress up they are a bit more pleasant and enjoy themselves. How can you not when you feel good about yourself. I recommend (if it's possible and practical) that couples should dress like this at least once a year. Even if you go nowhere just for you and your spouse to enjoy each other. Why so much romanticism in me? I will not question this for the dear and gentle Lord blessed me with this. Amen."

How uncanny is this...I am writing about the song that referenced a rose and just this morning before I walked I looked at my flower garden. Even though things are beginning to die out and prepare for winter I still saw 2-3 pink rose buds bloomed, lavender, and even a few daisies still alive. I guess my little journey this morning was part of the grand plan in my writing this evening.

Fannie, I Look Forward To Meeting You One Day In Heaven

Do not ever underestimate the opportunity that can be placed before you to minister to someone via the telephone. I had the distinct honor and pleasure to meet Fannie via a telephone conversation yesterday. On my journey yesterday I had the opportunity to speak with a woman that lived in Oklahoma. In the beginning of the conversation she shared with me that she was dying of cancer. My heart immediately was won over by her and I continued on with the conversation. At the near close of the conversation the Holy Spirit started stirring within me to ask her if she knew Jesus. I know this prompting and know when it comes from my Jesus. I stepped out in faith and I asked the question. She told me yes and I asked her if I could pray for her.She said yes and I prayed for her over the phone. In the course of our conversation she shared with me that she feels no one is there to help her in general especially as a person dying of cancer. As part of my prayer I remember asking the Lord to send her helpers. As we closed the conversation I told her to look for me in heaven one day that I will be the one with a tambourine in my hand. She asked my name and I told it to her. I also told her that if Jesus would come before the day we will meet in heaven that I would see her then.
Thank you Lord for such wonderful opportunities you present before us to do the work of the kingdom. It was a true honor and privilege to be used as a blessing to another. God is good all the time and all the time God is good.

A Description Of The Royal Procession

November 11, 2009
The Fall Leaves Are Almost Gone From the Trees

As I have been walking the last few days I noticed that almost all of the beautiful autumn leaves are gone from the trees and the landscape. As much as I love fall and its gorgeous display of natural artwork for all to see, once the leaves are removed from the tree I now have a great view of the tree that houses the massive nest for the eagles. Every time I see that, I am amazed at what God’s nature is capable of creating for the eagle and its family. Something just fascinates me about eagles. Even though they all live in the same nest, you don’t really see them soaring
together so to say like geese do.

In your walk with the Lord, some of us are called to soar high and free and full of life when we are released to go forth and minister. Even though we return to our nest (home) and our family at the end of the day or week or sometimes-even month we are still called to go forth in what God has called us to move forward in. I am sure there is always proper order in the going forth and in the returning. Not only in the returning but there must also be proper order for those that remain in the nest while we are going forth ministering. If your house is not in proper order first, God will not bless upon the going forth in your life. Now, if your house is in proper order just watch for the splendor to appear before your very eyes.

I am a person of order. If I am in an atmosphere that needs order, I am also a creator. I can create order in any situation. That is a gift of mine. I am a person that receives wisdom and I use that wisdom to solve problems. I love challenges because that is another opportunity for me to shine forth with Jesus and the creativity of the Holy Spirit. There is no better place to be than when the Holy Spirit has me creating and downloads me with creativity. I am a problem solver. Would I or could I do this in my own strength? No, I am only capable of doing this task with the help of the Holy Spirit. I recall when my children were younger how the Holy Spirit would even show me ways of correcting my children when it was called for. It is most important to train up a child with the ways of God in your life and in your home. Children need a lot more order than most parents think they do.
When I went through with my divorce I knew I had to stay home with my children and raise them. At that point in my life I chose to live a more humble lifestyle to be able to be home when the children came home from school. I also thought it was most important for us to sit at the dinner table together to eat our meals. Therefore, the table would be set, including napkins at each place setting and the dinner was prepared. I always felt it was important to have a meal that consisted of a meat, starch, vegetable and I almost always made a salad. Now, sometimes we did stray a bit from that and had pizza (I would make homemade pizza too.) Even with pizza, I would make a salad to accompany it. During this season of my life we would have "popcorn night." I don’t recall the night I want to think it was on Monday’s I would make the old fashioned way of making popcorn via the top of the stove always with melted butter on top and we would go into the living room and watch "Seventh Heaven."

Children that have gone through a divorce, or about to go through this in their lives should still have order within the home. I honor the man that chooses to sacrifice for the sake of his children. That is a virtue far above great looks or his bank account balance. Now, I can speak about a woman in this situation because I am the woman that chose to live that lifestyle. I remember once not knowing where groceries would come from that very day as my daughter left for school. I told her that there would be groceries when she got home from school that very day. I needed God’s wisdom in that situation. My former husband was excellent when it came to providing for alimony and child support. There was some sort of mix up that month and there was a delay in receiving the funds. The Holy Spirit showed me to not be prideful and seek out the one time help of the local food pantry. That was very hard for me to do but you know what I did it. I remember going there and bringing home the groceries. As I was about to unpack them the Holy Spirit prompted me to keep them on the kitchen counter as a witness for my daughter to see what the Lord did for us that very day. I obeyed. Therefore, whenever I am in a situation that I need the Lord to see me through that is one of the examples that come to my memory. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If He did it in the past and He will do it in the future then surely He will provide and will see me through on that particular day also. Have faith and get faith. It is the greatest journey. You can’t even imagine the fun in the process of attaining things through faith and also the gift of faith. As I look back on that great display of His faithfulness to us I can even chuckle. I chuckle to myself because I recently had a conversation with a dear friend and we were talking about cakes and how she wanted to make a butter pecan cake. Guess what? There was a box of cake mix amongst the groceries with that very flavor. Now you probably know what I did with that cake mix right. Yes, I blessed her with it. It is also important to give back to others that were there for you in your times of need. When I had some spare money I did give it to the food pantry to assist them in their ministry. I have no idea why I am adding the scripture below, I am truly trusting the Holy Spirit in this.

Song of Songs 3:6-11:
“Who is this young woman coming up from the wilderness like clouds of smoke? She is perfumed with myrrh and incense made from merchants’ scented powders. Look! Solomon’s sedan chair! Sixty soldiers from the army of Israel surround it. All of them are skilled in using swords, experienced in combat. Each one has his sword at his side and guards against the terrors of the night. King Solomon had a carriage made for himself from the wood of Lebanon. He had its posts made out of silver, its top out of gold, its seat our of purple fabric. Its inside-with inlaid scenes of love-was made by the young women of Jerusalem. Young women of Zion, come out and look at King Solomon! Look at his crown, the crown his mother placed on him on his wedding day, his day of joyful delight.”

Belgian Waffles Are So Delicious

I have to share this with you. Belgian waffles are so delicious and quite easy to make. I use the mix made for this by a company called Krusteaz. I add to the batter either vanilla, natural orange oil or almond extract. I stumbled upon a great rotary Belgian waffle maker that is so reasonably priced you just won't believe it. How can you beat the price of $24.99? I have been pricing this type of waffle maker for over a year now and there is no need to spend big bucks on a waffle maker when you can probably pick one up just around the corner from where you live or within proximity of where you live. Are you curious as to where you can purchase this? At CVS stores.

When making a few at a time to serve for breakfast put your oven on low and keep them warm in the oven. I will make up a batch and then freeze them in a freezer bag. I pull one out when needed and pop into the toaster on defrost and warm it up. I use to enjoy them with butter and warm praline syrup (which you can purchase a variety of flavors of syrup at T.J. Maxx, Marshall's, or even Big Lots.) I let that go to the wayside and now enjoy them with a light dusting of powdered sugar.  Even better yet, flavor with the orange oil and then serve with apricot preserves, delicious! Just remember to not consume them if you are in a business suit or have your favorite tie on because powdered sugar is not a good accessory to your attire. Powdered sugar can be hard to brush off. You do not want to walk into that important business meeting and the first thing they notice about you is powdered sugar, you want them to notice your warm smile along with that great, firm handshake Right?

A hint to bed-n-breakfasts, a Belgian waffle would be a great addition to your breakfast menu if you are not already offering that to your guests. How can you go wrong with the value in this waffle maker? You can't. May you have many happy days ahead of you making Belgian waffles.

A Tender Love-Filled Smile

10/3/1996

My children in Christ, I come to you this day through this child that sits and prays before Me. Open your hearts and minds to the words that I fill this child with. That she may place them upon the paper for all to hear. Sing praises always and give honor and glory to My Father the Almighty.
I come to you this day. As I am writing this, a beautiful daisy comes into my mind. The flower that the child writes of is strong yet fragile all in one. Like the souls of My children. They long for and want the healing presence of the Holy Spirit. Many, many times they block the power of the Holy Spirit in a moment of weakness, known as fear. Do not give into fear, for fear does not come from Me. I bring to you peace and love. Lift the fears up to Me, that I may take them from your being and replace the fears with a holy, perfect love waiting to be bestowed upon you.
My beautiful, faithful children in Christ would you not cross into a street to save the life of a child if you saw a car come into the path of the child about to crush the child? That My dear children is what I speak of, a love in which I gave up My life and succumbed to the will of My Father to save all of My children.
As I pause for a moment I feel the Lord’s grace come upon me. I am shown a tender, love-filled smile. This is what I give to each and every one of you. My work cannot be complete until I save and bring back to My Father all of the souls that long to taste the goodness of the Lord. Go forth My children and spread the good news “Jesus Christ has risen to set us free.”

Snake Prophetic Dream With Interpretation

January 19, 2008 Prophetic Snake Dream with Interpretation

Twice now, I have had dreams of me seeing my son sit on the couch watching TV with the remote in his hand. It turns to a snake that is whitish in color, it has large fangs, and it looks at him and tries to bite him. Each time it cannot bite him even though it attempts to. This most recent dream the snake became magnified in size, came to me, and lunged upward to bite me. I swiftly moved out of the way and this dream woke me up. It was very real and I gasped out loud and physically moved to miss the bite.
As you continue to grow in strength in Me, the average demon has now been replaced with a much forceful demon that’s sole purpose is to thwart the plan and action of God for your life and the lives of your children.
If you did not keep yourself close to Me and in Me and in the word of God, it would have had a legal right to thwart the plans. Not completely because My work will be fulfilled. It has the capacity to delay the work or try to knock it off schedule.
As your trust has truly grown immensely in Me, the enemy will no longer sit back and be passive for he knows of the plans, not the details per say. Just a generalization of what is about to hit the earth once you are released in fullness.
Trust in Me My precious little one. Not little in faith, oh no, little is used as a term of endearment because you truly have the faith like a little child. There is a pureness and refreshing in that.
Keep advancing and more and more protection and direction are there and in operation in your life. There is no stopping now, even if you wanted to. It cannot. Things are in motion and will not be stopped at this particular juncture in your life. Go and flow; trust and huge things will suddenly come forth. There is no stopping of this now, no human, no demon, not even an animal of any kind or nature will stop this now. Time is at hand and it is now saith the Lord of Hosts.

Do Not Vacillate For It Can Lead To Ruin

Do not look back once you make a decision because you know what happened to Lot's wife when she looked back? It resulted for her in death. It is OK to look back on something if you are using it for a portion of your testimony. Do not look back and regret leaving a place when the Lord prompted you to leave. That is when it can become dangerous for your life to leave the protection of the Lord.

Yesterday, as I was driving I was on a busy road, just ahead of me was a squirrel that kept vacillating back and forth while cars were driving on the very road in which it kept doing this. As I drove by I saw a car coming on the side of the road where the squirrel kept trying to go one way and then turn around and try to go the other way. As I drove by I looked out of my rear view mirror and saw that the car hit the squirrel. This is what I learned from this little lesson. That squirrel probably panicked/became confused and kept vacillating one way and then the other. The word vacillate means to waver in mind, will or feelings. To waver indecisively between one course of action or opinion and another. In the case of the squirrel it resulted in death. Be careful that you do not vacillate in the things of God in your life. Is a moment or two of sin as you vacillate between serving God and serving satan worth it for eternal damnation? I would hope your answer would be "no." May peace fill this region tonight.

The Pears Are Simply Divine!!!

As I am writing this I am able to savor the taste of the most sweet pears. Delicious! I am so thankful that I followed Your leading today Holy Spirit. I thought I was going to seek something out today. In actuality, it was really a Holy Spirit setup for me to be a blessing and then when I least expected it to bless me.
I think I will savor these pears and just treat myself to a bit here and there. I highly encourage you to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit because He will show you things that you were not even aware of that exist. Let Him show you the hidden treasures that are there. Some have always been there for you to uncover and discover. Be a blessing to someone tomorrow.
There are people that need the desires of their heart fulfilled. Don't be afraid to reach out to others. All you have to do is start the motion of reaching out and the Lord will finish it and fulfill it. Even if your heart has been seriously wounded or hurt in the past or more recently. Do not let that hold you back from what God has for you. It really is awesome and this is when you have to trust with all that you are. Let go and take a chance. Remember the feeling when you were a child and you may have hit a home run or you won a swimming race? Capture that moment and the exhilarating feeling of winning and being the champ. Take that and multiply it in great amounts and that is what is awaiting you now. Let go, reach out, and grasp it.

Did You Take Your Sonshine (Jesus inside of you, see prior blog for explanation) And Share It With Someone Today? I Did

I challenged everyone to take your "sonshine" and share it with someone today. You never know when you will be entertaining angels that God sent to you to help you along the way. As my day came to an end I felt the Holy Spirit draw me to a bed-n-breakfast. I stopped there and asked for a tour of the establishment. The proprietor invited me in and we sat down and began to share. She was a Christian and we did what Christians do we shared our stories of how Jesus touched our lives. It was a great time of fellowship and encouragement for each other. The prophetic was drawn out of me to encourage her. Thank you Lord for setting up this divine appointment.
There was a point in which I was sharing with her and I felt prompted to share briefly what I just wrote about this morning. I told her about being a champion and how I likened it to a pear. I told her about the pear portion of my blog today. As we finished sharing she told me she wanted to go and get something to give to me. You will never guess what she blessed me with? She handed me a jar of homemade canned pears that she canned this season. I was amazed at what she was handing me. That was definitely a big confirmation to me. Not only about the writing which made reference to the pear, but also that I was drawn to her establishment. Requesting a tour of her bed-n-breakfast this very day in the very community in which I visited today. Praise God for His faithfulness. He truly is awesome and greatly to be praised. How many others followed through today and have stories to share also?
This again is an example of a Proverbs 31 woman. How many women still can and put up fruit that was picked from the harvest for those to enjoy in the winter months? There are probably a lot more than I know about since I really am a "city girl" just transplanted in the country for a time of healing. A very welcomed healing that has been completed. One year I actually did can pickles and it was fun and they were good too! I think I am going to go and open up the pears and treat myself to the blessing that came forth from the harvest. Lord, I ask you to bless her beyond her idea of a blessing and You WILL provide all that she needs. Amen.

I Can Do ALL Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me

I may be writing today and whomever reads this will benefit from this, the main reason is to encourage myself. I said that to state that this writing is for me today. Philippians 4:11-13 states "I've learned to be content in whatever situation I'm in. I know how to live in poverty or prosperity. No matter what the situation, I've learned the secret of how to live when I'm full or when I'm hungry, when I have too much or when I have too little. I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
I shared with someone the other day about being a champion. Let me expound on what I was briefly shown in a moment. A champion is someone that trains/studies; prepares; and then conquers. Let me take that thought into a certain area so to speak...a boxing champion.
I know nothing about boxing so please excuse me if I do not have terms correct I will just speak plainly on this subject OK. A champion boxer does not just wake up one day and say I think I will be a champion boxer and gets into a boxing ring that very day and become the World Champion. I would guess it starts out as a dream/vision that is inside of them and then there is a work that needs to be performed through them in order to achieve the final result. The best at what you do.
We are given by God natural talents within us. We are then to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit to teach and draw these raw talents out of us. If you took a bite out of a very under ripe pear it would be hard to bite into and the taste would be not very appealing to your senses. If you wait too long that same pear would then be over ripe and when you bite into it it would be very mushy and messy to deal with. But, if you wait at the right moment to bite into that pear oh how sweet and delicious it can be to your taste buds. A hard pear may have the appearance of a beautiful green outside or the overripe pear having the appearance of an ugly outside appearance and may even look bruised and beaten up a bit.
The green pear represents the person just starting out on the path to their destiny being fulfilled. Isn't it interesting that I chose the word "green?" When someone refers to someone that is green it usually makes reference to the fact that they are new at doing something and they need to cultivate their talent(s.) When a person is represented by the bruised pear example that reflects that they have been training and have gone through struggles and battles, big and small. With each battle wound or scar that was earned it gives them the background to go forth in their destiny.
A boxer can be in the boxing ring and be in the heat of his most fierce fight and may even be all bloody and beaten up so to speak on the outside but when he knows what the prize is ahead of him he will toughen up and take it to the next level. Even if it means he may have a bruised eye, arm, shoulder, etc. The prize becomes so pronounced within him and he can actually see himself receiving the prize that he all of a sudden gets the biggest rush of energy and strength, and forges ahead to attain that prize. That is awesome. Do not ever let go of what the Lord has called you to do. I have been in this walk long enough to know that if you choose to keep on fighting He will continue to keep on strengthening you. There is no better or safer place to be than in the arms of Jesus. He will be the one to see you through it. When it looks like you are all beaten up, torn up, and depleted along comes the Holy Spirit with a fresh new wind and the next thing you know you just defeated your last and very large opponent never to have to challenge that one again. So, hang in there and press forward towards the mark of the high calling that is upon your life. Remember, this battle is just the final beating that proceeds the main victory in your life. Not everyone can attain the title of World Champion. Everyone may have the dream but very few prepare, train and conquer that dream. Hang in there and when it seems like there really is no where to go or anything seems to be out there for you to grasp upon DON'T GIVE UP BECAUSE SUNSHINE IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. WHEN SUNSHINE IS PRESENT IN A SKY THERE MAY ONLY BE ONE OR TWO CLOUDS IN THE SKY AND AT THAT POINT THEY CANNOT KEEP SUNSHINE FROM POURING FORTH.
Take your sunshine or sonshine (the Jesus inside of you) and share it with all you meet today. For you may not know where they are on their journey and you just never know if you will be entertaining an angel that the Lord sends to you this very day to strengthen you.

October 11, 1996

10/11/1996

There are times when the Lord asks us to step aside to not “botch up” things that we have no control of. Sometimes the hardest thing of all is the stepping aside, but ah, when you give total abandonment to the Lord, it is grace that is the only way I can describe it. He in all His splendor and glory completes the tasks at hand and ah always done in such a gentle, grace-filled manner.
Come to Me. Lift up your souls, burdens, glories, and triumphs. I love MY children with a love that nothing of worldly delights could compare to. Receive into your hearts a grace-filled peace, only attained through Me, with Me, and in Me…Let go of all and abandon your will to Me. That is when the most grace-filled experiences can begin and continue to grow within you. Total abandonment, again I ask of you. For in this act given to Me from love, all evil, violence, and things not of the Lord can and will be conquered upon this earth. Go forth this day and all the days that follow and spread and proclaim the good news “I Christ Jesus shall come again to save My people.”

Today Is Election Day In The United States

Don't forget to vote today. It is a privilege and an honor that is bestowed upon us. Use this gift wisely. When I vote I always seek the Holy Spirit's advice as to who and what to vote for. He is faithful when you seek out His advice in regard to voting. Vote wisely. Don't forget to take your smile with you to the polling place where you vote. It is a great opportunity to share your smile with someone while waiting in line to vote.

You Just Never Know Who Will Reap The Harvest From The Seeds You Plant

You never really know who will benefit or reap the harvest that comes forth from the seeds you plant. I was blessed today with running into a former neighbor of mine. I ran into the grocery store to get an item or two and as I entered the store I said hello to my former neighbor. I asked her how her husband was and we did the little pleasantries. Somehow we got onto the subject of the house that I use to live in several years ago. It was the first home in which we lived in when we moved to Vermilion. She proceeded to tell me that neighbors come and go in that house and she still goes and picks and uses the herbs that I planted years ago. See, you never know who partakes of the harvest you plant today.
Be cautious of where you plant financial offerings. If it is into a ministry that does not bear fruit, I mean good quality fruit you mise well kiss that offering goodbye. It is very important to know the ministry where you are planted yourself also. Observe and listen and you will hear what you need to hear in order to know if they are truly fulfilling the gospel message to go into all the world and preach the gospel. The good news. It is especially good news to those that never heard it and are hearing it for the first time. The gospel of salvation is the only way you will get to heaven and remain there for eternity.
The choice is simple heaven or hell for all of eternity. Do you want to be in the presence of the Lord and all of your loved ones that also accepted Jesus for eternity OR would you like to burn in hell and experience suffering that is unimaginable for all of eternity? Once you take your last breath on earth the decision has already been made as to where you will spend eternity. It truly is in your hands the decision of where you will spend eternity. You know or may not know that the bible says that no man is promised tomorrow. With keeping that in mind now is the perfect time to make that decision to spend the rest of your life once you take your last breath in heaven. Go get a bible and read John 3:16 and then repent of your sins and call upon the name of the Lord. Did you know that those that call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) will be saved. If they believe in their heart that he was born of the virgin Mary, suffered, died upon the cross, and rose from the dead on the third day and they confess that with their lips, they become saved or a better know term is "born again."
Don't think to yourself I have attended church all of my life. So and so in the family is in the ministry, etc. it doesn't matter what others have or are doing around you. It matters what you choose to do. Let go of your anger and resentment and just give in. It is better to give in now while you are still alive and have the opportunity to commit your heart to Jesus. Once again I will remind you...once you take your last breath here on earth your fate has already been sealed where you will spend eternity. Don't wait because you think you will say the prayer tomorrow what if you never wake up to see the sunrise wherever you live. I tell you my friend, it will be too late then. Trust is Jesus there is no sweeter place to be then in the Master's hands protecting you and watching you grow and go forth in what He has called you to do with your life.

Someone either in my family or circle of friends or whomever prayed for me that one day I would accept Jesus into my heart. I did and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if something were to happen to me today and it was my last physical day on earth I would be in heaven with my Maker, my King, my soon coming King at that. It states that to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ. I think that is the right bible verse terminology for what I just tried to quote. I have stated on more than one occasion that I did not attend bible college or I am not a bible scholar if I should be incorrect please go ahead and correct me.
I said all of that to say this. Someone planted a seed in the ground expecting a harvest of souls and I was the result of one of those souls prayed for. So, you see, you never know who will reap the harvest of the seeds you plant today.
