Where Are You At On Your Journey Today? Are You Closer Than You Were Yesterday Or Are You Further Away Today?

I captured these three pictures the other day. They were taken in a matter of seconds of each other.

I could not help wondering as I took these three pictures about where people are on their walk/journey in their life. I was wondering the very same thing about my life also. It was a matter of seconds when each picture was captured and with each shot taken I was closer to seeing the hot air balloon in the sky. Now, I did not have a zoom lense on my camera to let you see what I was really seeing in the moment. It was much bigger and more colorful to see it in person than what I captured in a picture form. If I was not open to experiencing the sights around me I would have missed it completely. Do not ever be so busy with your life that you forget or choose to not take in the scenery around you.

The particular day this was taken on was a fabulous day for me in my life. Do you ever have one of those days in which everything just goes so right? That was the type of day I had.

I do not know about you but when Holy Spirit speaks to me or shows me something about a situation or even a person or group of people, etc. He speaks to me through my heart. I cannot explain it other than this...yes, I have a gut instinct and it does kick in when it is suppose to do that. This, what I am talking about is much more deep than just trusting your gut instinct. It is as though I have conversation with Holy Spirit throughout the day and night (as you can see by the time I am writing this post.) When you have fellowship with Him as a part of your daily walk He can speak to you and guide you through your heart leading. Does that make sense. Let me put it like this...If you are walking on a nature path and you get that yucky, eerie feeling to not get off of the path and stray away or to get off of the path right away. That is your gut instinct directing you that there just may be danger in the woods or near by. That is a warning to you to get away from that situation or area to prevent yourself from eminent danger.  When you are guided by your heart Holy Spirit can show you things and direct you to do something that it takes trust to follow through with it. It is amazing when He does this because he gives you that deep  insight and you would have no earthly knowledge of this stuff unless He revealed it to you.

Example...on this particular day that I told you about earlier this is how Holy Spirit led me. I had six dollars and I was to go and get a Father's Day card for someone and get $5.00 worth of scratch-n-win lotto tickets to place inside the card. Do not get all worried and think that I play the lottery or some crazy notion like that, I do not but I do know when Holy Spirit prompts me to do something. Such a simple act of faith and He is faithful to show you that it was truly Him that led you in that journey that particular day. This is what happened. I signed the card and gave it to the person it was intended for. Later in the day I got my confirmation from Holy Spirit that I did exactly what He showed me to do. I found out from the person it was given to that the card and what was inside it had meaning to them. Now, this is a person that I do not know or have knowledge of their life so to speak. It is one of those situations where you just talk chit chat sort of stuff so there is no deep knowledge of their life and that sort of thing. Apparently, when this person's Father was alive this person use to buy their Father a lotto ticket on their birthday and tuck in a note that if they won they had to split half with them (you know the sort of thing that a Father and their child can share.) How on earth would I have prior knowledge of this and to get this particular thing to tuck in this card? I could never on my very own come up with that. That is how Holy Spirit gets all the credit in this because it was His prompting that caused me to get just the very item that was to go inside this card. Maybe this person needed to be reminded of the love they had for their Father? I do not know the answer to that I just know it was Holy Spirit leading that day and He confirmed it. Now, you must know this too I did not attach any note stating they had to split any winning with me. There were no strings attached to this gift, just given because Holy Spirit wanted to reach out to another and He needed a source to do that. I must share this with you also, I know I was able to hear so clearly that day because I know there was someone praying for me that day.

Can you feel when someone is praying for you? At certain moments I can actually feel this at times. When I experience this it is when I am not distracted or laden down with burdens. They may be praying for me a lot but I may not always feel the power of that prayer unless I am open to receiving it. All I can say is that it is a most wonderful feeling inside of you. Let me take it a step further...you know that feeling you get inside when everything is going smoothly and it just keeps getting better all day long? You booked that appointment you waited for months to get, you connected with the right person and you walk out of the appointment and landed the contract. That kind of feeling. Then you go to your car and you find a $20 bill on the ground. Then you get that perfect phone call telling you your health concerns were nothing to be concerned about at all. Then you go to the grocery store and everything you needed was on sale that day and on top of it someone left a coupon on the shelf and you got an even bigger savings. Then someone ahead of you in the store check out line says they want to pay for your groceries. Then you get home and someone cleaned the house without you having to even ask them. Then your day is complete by knowing that someone prayed for you that very day and look what you experienced that very day. That is what I am talking about. The feeling you have when all of that really good stuff happened to you in one day. You know that feeling right? That is what it feels like to me when I can sense someone prayed for me.

Wherever you are on your journey do not stay stagnant. If you feel you need to excel a bit then go out and help someone out. When you reach out to others God will reach out to you in your season of need and also when you have no need at all. Why? Because He loves His children and loves to bless His children. Example...I struck up a conversation the other day with a manager of the landscape company that takes care of the grounds where I live. In the course of our conversation I was told that they would swap out some shrubs and replace them with gardenia bushes. Guess what? They did and I was to water them daily and guess what? The management set up the sprinkler system to do that.  I can sit on my patio anytime and experience the wonderful fragrance of the gardenias and pick them and bring them inside too. I no longer have to go elsewhere on the property to pick flowers and bring them home with me. Where I live they are most generous, you are able to pick the flowers on the property. I picked the most beautiful hydrangea's the other day and they are sitting in a vase on the dining room table right now. Hydrangea's make nice displays and they last much longer than the gardenias do when you pick them. You see, God blessed me through the kindness of another. He is my Father and He blesses His children. I wish there was a Father's Day card big enough to send to Him in heaven but I think you know where I am going with this right? I do not need to send a card 1 day a year to Him to thank Him for he gets my thanks daily because He truly is an awesome Father that cares for His Children. How can you not help but thank Him for He is the one that breathed the breath of life into your very body and you woke up this very day and you have the ability to read this very blog and you are blessed. See the small and the large things that He does for you in your life and you will always have a thankful heart, a heart filled with love.

Where God Guides He Provides, This Happens In My Life

Let me share a story with you. That is nothing new to you right. If you have viewed my blog at all you know that is what I do, I share stories. Stories of things that have happened in my life. When I was searching for a place to live once I stumbled upon a place.  It was beautiful, comfortable surroundings and the place itself was also very inviting. It was as I was leaving the place that doubt set in and I began to think it was not the place for me. At this point I viewed many potential places and one thing or the other popped up to let me know this is not the place, keep on searching. When I viewed this particular place I felt that this was the place and Holy Spirit caused me to stumble upon this very place. It was part of His divine plan for my life. I sensed this was the place until I left the property and doubt and fear started to creep in. Holy Spirit knew I was beginning to doubt and started to think of all the reasons now why it was not the place to live. I did not know the area too well and thought I was going in a direction I thought I knew. Well, guess what? I turned down a wrong street so I thought, only to see a sign right in front of me with this on it, "Where God Guides He Provides." I knew right then and there that He was speaking to me to let me know not to fear about any numerous thoughts that were contrary to accepting this to be the place to live. The fret and worry turned to peace and I even thanked Him for getting me down that street to see that message just for me on that very day in my life. Numerous times I could share with you how the hand of God touched my life when I was following the prompting of Holy Spirit to go somewhere, do something, etc. One of those instances was this very day. I was walking and I was going to turn to head on home and then I happened to see a sign that caught my attention down the street. I felt that Holy Spirit nudge to head in that direction and I followed instruction via the gentle nudge that tugged at my heart. Sure enough on the journey in that direction I happen to see money sitting on the side of the road by a guard rail. It was not on any one's property so I picked it up, then there was another and another and another. Now, this is very important to do if you should stumble upon something that you would pick up left by someone else. You do not know where that money came from or even the objects origination that you pick up. The very first thing you do is (I silently say these words) I break any spells, hexes, curses, roots or Santeria curses on this object and I then plead the blood of Jesus over it to cleanse it and to keep me from receiving anything that is not good that was on that object. Does that make sense to you? You do not know its origin or who the person was that the object left their possession.
Here is one more thought...just maybe God released an angel to place that very money there just moments before I walked past the area as a little blessing to let me know I am following God's direction and He is with me. Think about it, but either way I was blessed this very day and God gets all the glory. I would have never seen that blessing if I chose to head home and not yield to Holy Spirit nudge to keep on walking. God is great and greatly to be praised.
