Here's A Good & Not So Good Part Of My Recent Trip To Atlanta. All Good In The End Though.

On my recent trip to Atlanta here are 2 different experiences I had. They both happened actually on the journey there. It was a lovely Sunday morning on this outbound journey. I love to stop @ the Nickajack rest stop. It is newer and the view is always lovely too. I have never had this happen before, a line to use the ladies restroom. Must have been a busy travel day for many. I spoke with a family on the observation deck area. They were heading to spend a few days in a mountain cabin. I believe they said they get off the highway somewhere in Dalton, GA to get to this mountain. This was definitely an extended family trip.
Meaning great grandma, grandma and younger family with younger children. How lovely is that.
As I am heading back to my car I noticed 2 nuns walking in the distance. You just don't see this on a regular basis @ a rest stop so my curiosity caused me to walk past my car to greet them. I asked what order they were with and they replied Dominican. They still wear the longer in length habits and I inquired that they are not in the modern looking ones like the Ursuline nuns I had when I went to a Catholic grade and high school I attended. They replied that they were in a modern one for their order. I then shared that years ago I attended a high school reunion and a few of our former nun teachers were dressed in the modern habit shorter outfits. I still cannot believe what they shared as they were heading out the door of our reunion. They told me they were heading to ballroom dancing lessons. Wow, things really did change since high school and this experience was many years ago too.
After my short visit at the rest stop I am back on the road again. There was about an hour delay just sitting in very slow moving bumper to bumper traffic just about approaching Chattanooga/Birmingham split junction. Only to find out that 1 lane was closed of the 2 lane highway due to an accident. So I get past that and I am about an hour away from my destination and I hear the noise of something that hit my windshield. I looked and saw nothing at the time. I keep driving on the highway.
This is very important ...  When further looking behind the rear view mirror there was definitely a big ding from the rock or whatever flew off the truck in front of me.
Now I am seeing this crack travel and grow as I am driving so I pull off the highway and called my insurance company to start a claim. So glad I have insurance protection. While on this journey I had the windshield replaced because it was no little ding. I only had to pay the deductible portion good thing. Do you know how much it is to replace a windshield now a days? Well, at least my type was over $600.00 including tax. Thank God for auto insurance.
This is very interesting. Remember when I didn't want to pay more than $1,000 to fix my car recently? I was thrilled that the work done was under that amount. Well, with this added it brought it to about that total amount. I laugh thinking to myself maybe I should have stated I didn't want to pay more than $500 instead of saying $1.000. God knew all along the circumstances and He had it all under control now, do you agree?
Because of the green tree background you can't see the crack in the windshield crystal clear but trust me it is there. It even grew some more overnight when I checked on it the next morning. Thank You Jesus for your love and protection.
