Recently, I felt Holy Spirit nudge me to reach out to another person in their time of need. It was not a huge, magnanimous thing it was an e...

I Promised Someone At Work Weeks Ago I Would Bake Them Russian Teacakes (butterball cookies.) They Reminded Me Of It The Other Day So Guess What I Just Finished Doing?
Weeks ago, maybe even closer to a few months ago this is what happened. A friend of mine owns a European bakery and I brought back some of their cookies to a co-worker. I made a comment that I like the way my butterball cookies taste in comparison. I then said I would have to bake some for them to try and let me know what they think. Well, time went by and I did not bake. The other day this co-worker mentioned that I never baked the cookies. I have to be in the right mood to bake. I brought butter to room temperature a couple of times with the intent to bake them but did not. I mentioned that I would make them over the weekend and I did. I hope they enjoy them. They are my sister's favorite cookies I bake and I will put some aside for her also. Years ago I followed the Betty Crocker recipe where it says to make them with a surprise in the middle of the cookie. I think it is caramel. I adapted it to place a small piece of chocolate in the center and people seem to like them like that. I still make some without any chocolate center also.
I actually made them with a church service live streaming online. It was a timely word and it is so nice and refreshing to see that churches still do altar calls. I silently thanked Holy Spirit for 100 billion thanks for those that responded to the altar call.
Cracker Barrel thank you for carrying a CD entitled "My Utmost For His Highest." It says it was "inspired by Oswald Chambers' classic devotional My Utmost For His Highest. This is a musical expression of worship and devotion through this collection of new songs by some of Christian Music's most prominent recording artists." Well, the first song I play is a song I think I was searching for the other day and could not find it. Let me do a search now and see if I can find it this time. It is a version of Amazing Grace and it is by for King & Country. See how Holy Spirit has little surprises tucked within the day if you take the time to look. So faithful He is, so faithful.
Found it. Well, early this morning when I cleaned out the ant moat to place fresh water in it for the birds (need to read prior blog today to get further explanation) I felt prompted to give them not tap water but I gave them water from my Zero Water filtered water. Let them have a refreshing drink of water that has been filtered I hope they enjoy it. There has been a lot of bird activity today, especially the finches. They are eating right now as I look out the window.
