One Of My Prayers Early Today, Let Me Find Really Good Deals Today...I Found A Really Good One!!! I Am Listening To It Right Now.

I prayed this morning and one of my prayers was to find really good deals. I did but there was one that was an exceptional find. I was at Bargain Hunt browsing and then I came across this beauty. They have a sale going on this weekend so anything yellow ticket price was an additional price reduction. For some reason this 2 cd set was already reduced to $0.75. So with the additional savings it came to $0.08. yes, that is correct. Do you know what captured my attention? It stated National Treasure so I thought I should look at it closer. I do not know who Vera Lynn is but she has a lovely voice. It is the Special Collectors 70th D-Day Anniversary Edition. I do not know who Katherine Jenkins is but it also has a brand new duet version of "We'll Meet Again."
Why do they not create music like this anymore? Sometimes it is a real treat to retreat back to classic types of music.
I inquired of my mother if she knew of Vera Lynn and she said no. The cd case was not in the best condition but the cd's inside were just fine. Isn't it so like God to start my day off with music and then to prolong my day with more music? I think this is a glorious day and now I am off to plant my tomato plant, red pepper plant, onion chives and curly parsley. I have to plant my plants in patio containers since I do not have a garden per say in the ground. It is ok though because I can still harvest the fruit of my labor when they grow and are ready for harvest. I try to use weekly Miracle-Gro on my plants and it works. I already had a few gardenia blooms on my gardenia plant. This year I am also trying a yellow, cherry type of tomato cascading planter. Let's see how that turns out.
My plan was to make brisket of beef today but Kroger's only sold a whole brisket @ $2.99 a pound which is a great value but I do not have the need for an approximate $36.00 portion of brisket. I inquired if they could cut a portion size for me. I was told they cannot open and cut a prepackaged piece of meat. Oh well, so I have Italian sweet sausage in the oven with onions & orange/yellow peppers. I also am cooking a few fresh beets in my electric pressure cooker. Have you ever tried fresh beets cooked this way? They turn out so tender and sweet tasting also.
I am going to experiment with a new type of bird food this week. We usually do not have squirrels where I live and I noticed one last weekend. Eating the bird food that drops to the ground. I knew there was a bird food out there so I was in search of it this week and found it. When I lived in a house I did feed squirrels until they became very aggressive and I would use the word "bold." I learned my lesson so I do not want to encourage them coming around at this time in my life. Do you get it and understand me? So I am mixing Wagner's Hot Pepper Wild Bird Food along with Wagner's Safflower Seed. I read on the one package that squirrels do not like either of these items.
Off to happy planting time now. I miss gardening. You know what I miss a lot with not living in a house? Cutting the grass in pretty patterns. I liked being creative when cutting the grass. I did not do things like create pictures it was the patterns I would cut the grass in. My favorite part was hosing off the driveway and sidewalks after I cut the grass. My former husband did cut the grass but I liked cutting the grass and sometimes I would just cut the grass. I also miss digging in the soil planting plants. There is something so therapeutic about it to me. Maybe it is just me but maybe you also like gardening.
When I was in grade school and lived in the city there was a local school that had plots of land and the children were allowed to plant and upkeep your vegetable gardens. My sister and I participated in this. Tending a garden huh? Do you think that is just inside of me since Adam & Eve lived in the Garden of Eden? Just a wandering thought.

We'll Meet Again
Auf Wiederseh'n Sweetheart
As Time Goes By
[There'll Be Bluebirds Over] The White Cliffs Of Dover
Besame Mucho (Kiss Me)

Isn't this lovely music?
