My Heart Is Filled With Joy. So Much So That It Is Overflowing. Would You Like To Know How This Happened?

I was blessed last weekend to attend a family gathering. See, I have not seen some of these cousins for a few years now. All I can say to explain what happened is it felt like a welcomed shot in the arm to revive me so to speak. Oh to see family from back home was such a blessing to me. To hug them and share stories of us growing up together also. This was family from my mother's side of the family. All I know is that you don't really understand a possible void in your life until you connect with family you have not seen for a few years. Does that make sense? When you are gone and away from family you tend to not focus on the missing/longing to be with them. It is when you have been gone for a bit of time and then connect again, it is in those moments that you  realize how precious family is to your heart.
This is kind of funny, I have a 3rd cousin that we both resemble each other a bit more than my own sister. When we were younger people used to think she was my sister and we would have to explain that we were 3rd cousins. Well, my mom wanted me to take pictures and sure enough my phone was not charged to full capacity to take pictures. Good thing I had my Fuji polaroid type of camera with me that had film in it also. I was able to take a few pictures for her.
Never take family for granted. You do not realize how much you really miss them until you are away from them and then see them again. I did come prepared. I made a triple chocolate Bundt cake for them and I found a pretty cake platter, I made actually into the cake platter. I also was able to put together a care package for my godmother and another of my mother's cousins that live back home. My one cousin will deliver the care packages to them. Do you like this cake platter? I gave the cake and the platter to my one cousin as a keepsake so to speak. Everyone could use encouragement right? "With God all things are possible."
