Went To The Eye Dr. My Eye Is Just Fine. Blood Red Color In Sections But Other Than That It Is Healthy. Yay To Jesus. Of Course A Song Too.

Well, with the encouragement of a co-worker I went to see the eye doctor the other day. It gives the appearance of looking much worse than what it actually is. I had the scan done on my eyes and everything is fine. A broken blood vessel is what is causing the red sections of my eye. Did you know there are eye doctors out there that are charging for you to have as part of your exam the scan instrument that takes, I like to refer to it as the 3-d image of your eyes? I know this to be true because I would opt for the last few years to pay $30.00 to have them scan my eyes is lieu of using the eye drops to dilate your pupils for the eye exam. Mind you, I would travel approximately 45 minutes to see this eye doctor and to pay the $30.00 fee. I have vision coverage that covers an eye exam but not the charged portion of the exam for the scan of my eyes. I would then go to a local eye doctors office for eyeglass frames and my prescription lenses. Until... the last time I was there and I was telling them of the poor quality of service I received at my last eye exam visit (this location has a new eye doctor and he did not even close the office door for the exam portion of my eye exam what is up with that? This is a new doctor and I did not like their attitude, I always received thorough eye exams from prior doctors that used to be there.) I had to remind this new doctor aren't you going to check the prism portion of my prescription the prior doctors always did? The only reason this new doctor did was because I almost insisted that it be checked and he then did it to appease me. Hello, a thorough eye exam is important do you not agree? They shared with me that they have a similar machine and it is part of their eye exams with no additional fee to use this as part of the exam.
I was told that some doctors use this as a tool to make extra money for their practice. It was this local eye doctor that squeezed me in for an appointment the other day and I am most grateful. I have been going to this location for approximately 4 years now. No longer will I make trips to the other location for eye exams when it is practically in my back yard so to speak. The customer service is outstanding here also. A tidbit of info I learned...if you should ever get a broken blood vessel in your eye do you know how the red portion that you see in your eye travels? It depends on the way you sleep. If you sleep on your right side it will tend to flow in that direction of your eye. Same if you sleep on your left side. Good thing I tend to sleep on my back so hopefully it is distributed more even so to speak. I was enormously relieved to know that my eyes are just fine. Now, I did get a little nervous heading to the eye doctor and your mind may start to wander what if...I heard the gentle Holy Spirit voice telling me it will be fine. Guess what it is fine. I am so happy to hear that I can still wear eye make up too since it is not an infection yay for small blessings like that. Do you count your blessings and acknowledge that God is faithful and do you thank Him also? I do. I also learned something else while at the eye doctor. I asked why my eyelid was a little tender each time I blinked my eye and that is because you need to look at this as a bruise and a bruise is tender until it heals. I do not have that tender feeling anymore as I am blinking right now as I write this.
So, lesson learned...ask your eye doctor if they charge to have this scan done on your eyes as part of your eye exam. If they tell you yes then confront them in a nice manner as to why they are charging you for this when there is another doctor out there that includes it at no charge as part of your eye exam. Wisdom can be a good thing do you agree?
The blessing does not stop here. I then went to a Christian bookstore in search of a book by Derek Prince and then found a treasure of books there. I purchased "God's Remedy for Rejection" by Derek Prince (I was actually seeking the book by him the story of God being the matchmaker in his life. I had that book and read it years ago and probably sold it at a garage sale or gave it away?) I then purchased two books by James W. Goll, he truly is a prolific writer.  My oh my how God uses this broken/pliable/teachable vessel to pour out His fresh oil and wisdom on God's people. Those that have an ear to hear that is and I speak life for those that will have an ear to hear also. I am almost finished reading, "Finding Hope Rediscovering Life After Tragedy" Wow, what a story truly pumping HOPE into the reader of this book. Thank you for being so candid with us and sharing your heart with us. Heart stories I find to be the best story to share with others. Heart stories connect with people and then they tend to lean towards a true heart story and glean from it also. The other book I purchased,  "What Love Looks Like" also by James W. Goll. Did you figure this out yet about me, I am an avid reader.
Let me see if I can locate the song that touched my heart yesterday ok.
