My Favorite Hymn Is Blessed Assurance. Also, A Second New Hymn I Recently Heard About, Down To The River To Pray.

I saw this question today in which the question was asked, "What is one of your favorite hymn's?" I would have to say I have two favorite's, with one of them being one I only recently heard of. Let me see if I can get the hymn's for you to listen to. Before I do that I must share this with you. I moved here from out of state to the state I reside in now. I knew no one and have no family here at all. My aunt told me once that I have my grandfather's sense of adventure. He emigrated here by himself when he was 19 years old and arrived at Ellis Island with $25.00. At one point my grandfather traveled and my uncle share's the story that my grandfather told him. He had a new Dodge four-door touring sedan and he left his railroad job in Great Lakes region and drove to California alone in 1923. The route taken was the new Lincoln Highway which was only 10% paved with the rest being gravel or dirt. He worked in CA and my uncle tells us that Grandpa met and befriended the silent film star Rudolph Valentino. My grandfather eventually moves back to The Great Lakes region and does not get married until 33 years old.
Back to my story of my adventure. Where God guides He truly does provide. I interviewed for the position I moved here for in another state 4 years prior. I did not interview at the location I was hired for. The first time I walked into that building was my first day of employment. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has continually been faithful to take care of me. I am not a teenager I was in my mid 50's when I took on this adventure.
I met some wonderful friends while working for this organization. Two of them, when we all started at the same time. My third friend I met when I went from one department to another department and we met in training. See how God works...you say yes to His lead and gentle nudge and He opens the doors for you. Do not be afraid of following His lead I would be more afraid of continually ignoring His gentle leads/nudges to be honest with you. These friends have brought much joy in my life. I tend to be a serious person by nature and they show me/bring fun in my life. Please know that Holy Spirit brought Christian friends into my life to fellowship with. We usually gather for dinner or lunch/brunch and we sure do visit a long time at the restaurant we go to. Going to be going on a new adventure to an observatory but dinner prior to that. When I knew no one when I first moved here I would venture out and explore the area. I stumbled on an Amish country tour and we are suppose to go on this tour in the near future. I went on this tour and I enjoyed it back then and how much more fun sharing the tour with friends now.
Point being if I would have never stepped out in faith and moved to a new state with no family, friends or familiar  people I knew I would not have met my new friends. I challenge you this day to step out in faith when Holy Spirit nudges you and watch how He is faithful. Please do know this, I used wisdom on this journey. I sought the Lord before I made this move and accepted the job. Use wisdom ok.
