Coffee? Coffee? Why Am I Writing About Coffee Today? This Is The Day Holy Spirit Says To Write About It. So I do...

It was a few weeks ago that I jotted down to write about coffee, yes, coffee. It was one of those things the thought was there but the timing was not quite there with it. Well, when checking my emails early this morning I received an email in reference to coffee. More exact, the company that I like their coffee sent an email to me. The company is Paramount Coffee Company in Lansing Michigan. Now, this time of the year you will start to see their coffee's in stores Like TJ Maxx and Marshall's. Much better price point then when I order through their company I must admit. They have yummy flavors of coffee in decaf. I tend t drink decaf coffee but if there is a flavored coffee that looks interesting I will purchase in regular caffeinated coffee.
If you should ever see me in a store and I am tapping the front of a bag of coffee there is a reason I do that. Someone told me about this and it works. The catch is that you have to have a bag of coffee that incorporates in it's packaging a little circle with a pin hole in the center of the circle. Sometimes you have to look for it. It is usually on the front of the package. This is how it works I use one of my fingers that is bent  sort of like making a fist on my hand to tap in the spot of the pin hole and then you squeeze the package of coffee and the aroma from inside allows you to see if you like it or not.
I use to always get this time of the year "Sweetie Pie" pumpkin pie until this year. I was tapping away while waiting to check out at TJ Maxx and I found that I liked the aroma of "Fall In Love" pumpkin spice actually better than the one I always purchase. See, you are never too old or too young to learn something new right? It was a toss up between that and Fall In Love" Vermont Maple Grove. You will also see cleverly titled packages of coffee from Paramount for Christmas too at these stores. Now, there are favorite flavors I like and will pay the higher price by ordering through their website because they are that good. My all time favorite is Traverse City Cherry Decaf followed by Toasted Maple Nut Decaf then followed by Mackinac Island Fudge Decaf. Sometimes I mix flavors that I think will blend together and they do. I also like to add some almond extract or peppermint extract to the coffee pot while it brews if it will compliment the flavored coffee I am brewing. I do not like drinking coffee without a creamer of some sort. Sometimes it is milk but the majority of the time I like the Coffee-mate Natural Bliss coffee creamer. You pay a little more for this brand but when you look at the list of ingredients at least I know what they are when I read them. Did you ever look at the ingredient list of other coffee creamer's check it out sometime. There are ingredients that are listed and I do not even know what some of them are. Also, Aldi's now carries their brand that is similar too. You may need to search for it in the store and do know that they are limited in the flavors they offer as opposed to the flavors offered by Coffee-mate's Natural Bliss.
Did you ever try honey as a sweetener in your coffee? Sometimes I prefer to add a little honey to my coffee instead of sugar. Try it you just may like it. My preference is local honey but my second preference is Orange Blossom honey.
Around Christmas time I do enjoy brewing chocolate mint coffee. While on the subject of coffee let me share with you one of my favorite collections of coffee mugs. They are the Starbucks "You Are Here Collection." I think I like them because of the scenes that are on the mug and then they pick a coordinating color as the color of the inside of the mug. Today I had a cup of pumpkin spice what flavor if any at all did you enjoy today?
Now my all time preference is a cup of tea. I do enjoy flavored tea also. On occasion I do brew a cup of oolong tea I purchased from a local Asian store. I have a variety of tea bags. I also have a tea infuser to brew loose tea but I find that can be messy. Meaning the tea leaves somehow float in the tea even thought the tea infuser is secure when I place it in the mug??? Go figure that one out. I have a new infuser and a canister of loose tea leaves from Japan. I think I will try it out now.
I tried it out and this infuser works. No loose tea leaves floating in the cup of tea. The funny thing about this is that I had this new tea infuser for about a year and it sat neatly packaged in a kitchen drawer. This causes me to think about this...are there gifts of the Holy Spirit that you put on a shelf or tucked away that you are going to save for the right time? Follow this simple example I am sharing with you. That tea infuser was a gift from my mother and I had the mindset I am not even going to open up this package because it will be like the other tea infusers I had prior to this one that did not work properly. Well, I was wrong and this perfectly good gift sat in a kitchen drawer not being used. A year of waiting on the perfect timing to use this gift. Do not let that happen with spiritual gifts Holy Spirit gives to you. If you go based on feelings or past experiences you just might miss the mark of the higher calling on your life. You will be sorry if you let that happen. Repent for not acting as Holy Spirit nudges that you did not follow through with something. He will forgive and take it from that point forward. Remember onward and upward in Christ.
