Sometimes I see why I do not write on a continual basis. I
truly pour my heart into writing and at times I feel a bit depleted. Do not get
me wrong, I love to write that is what tugs at my heart a great deal. When I
find myself feeling a bit depleted or not as bubbly as I am I must replenish.
Recently it was done by doing a little morning fasting. You see, my favorite
meal if I had to choose is breakfast. I do not know why that is, but I enjoy
breakfast probably over lunch or dinner.
So, I find it is so helpful to create in these times of
refreshing. Recently a person blessed me with a gift and it was time to create
a card just for this person. This is when I hear Holy Spirit gently guide me in
the creation process. How do you replenish? I used to do this by walking in
nature settings until... I was walking one day alongside a river and I saw
people slowing down ahead of me. Good thing I then slowed down too because there
was a big black snake slithering from the water across the path into grass the
other side of the path. This was a long, black in color snake, but I was not
brave enough to keep walking and jump over it. I waited until it slithered into
the grass.
The point in all of this, do not let yourself get depleted
in your spiritual walk and stay where you do not need to replenish. Praise
music also helps revive me too.
This is what I created do you like it?
One of my creative modes that I was in caused me to make scarves.
Please know that they are gifts made from my heart and I give them away I do not sell
them. There was a time when a person asked me to make dog collar holders that
breakaway if needed. I used memory wire for that project. Think of jewelry for a dog. That sprung forth
when I was in a jewelry making season. When you cross the line into selling
them then I feel I no longer have the freedom to create as I like to create. It
is as though you now have to custom tailor your design to what others want you
to create. I do have in my heart a few things that I would love to
create/design regarding items of clothing. For now, they remain tucked in my
heart for just the right moment.
Also, very important to partake in this also. Take a ride
about 30 or so miles away from the city lights. You must play great music. When
I recently did this I listened to the gospel songs “Michael W. Smith Hymns II
Shine on Us” that he sings (I mentioned that CD a few blogs ago.) Then heading
back to the city of course I listened to “Never Alone” by James W. Goll. Then finish
it off by eating some steak, beef is good for you at times. I enjoy making
steak anymore in my electric air fryer. Now, remember to not let yourself get
depleted. If you do then here are a few tips to revive yourself.
