Here Is How I Closed Out My Day Today 8/18/2023

In one respect I am independent, meaning I can go somewhere by myself and enjoy it. It is lovely going to a restaurant with others, but I am okay with doing it solo. I wanted to try out the local Ruby Tuesday, so I went there. I am keen on checking health department scores when I eat somewhere. Reason being, when I helped oversee my family's (I did not own them) 2 different places, one that served food and another frozen yogurt/frozen custard, and I was on duty I loved the challenge of getting really good scores from the health department when they did their visits. That was a sidenote as you can tell I like things in order.

I noticed their score dropped 10 points from 100 to 90. I ate at nice Ruby Tuesdays when in Ohio and that is why I thought I should try this one out. First thing I noticed is this place needs a remodel and I did not even go by the salad bar and knew I was not going to eat from there. They seated me and I commented in a nice manner that they may need a remodel and the server responded it was above their pay grade. I did not even wait for the server, I quietly got up and left the restaurant. I knew of a newer restaurant that is Italian that I went to and enjoyed my meal very much so.

When I share how God will bring a gentleman to my life as a spouse, He knows what I like, meaning old fashioned in regard to opening car doors and entrance doors to restaurants also. On the short time after work, I witnessed in the parking lot while waiting for a parking spot a younger in aged man opened the car door for the woman that was with him. I just had to compliment him for that. I motioned for them to roll down the window and said how nice it is for a gentleman to open a door for a lady. As I am about to go into the restaurant an older gentleman holds the door open for his wife and I asked can I get in on that too and sure enough he held the door open for me also.

I am at the Italian restaurant and as I am leaving, I see the husband open the door for his wife. I compliment him and he says he is still old school. Yes, chivalry never goes out of style. Train the children and grandchildren to open car doors and restaurant doors for women. That is my little preach for now. I then go to another store and as I am approaching the car, I hear words so often my mother would say to us when we told her we loved her. She always responded LOVE YOU MORE. I just felt compelled to share with them how my mother always said that, and the one person told me God Bless You after I shared at her mass at the closing of the eulogy, I gave I had the congregation all say with me after I said Love You and thy responded Love You More. What are the odds of that, let alone on my birthday. That I call a God moment set up for me to receive. Now I will unwind and savor the beauty I experienced this day. Oh, a package was delivered to me from friends. I love it. It is a plush blanket in colors I love celebrating a 65-year-old birthday. It has actual facts about the year I was born printed on it. So thoughtful, so very thoughtful. Oh, if I never took a chance and walked through an open door to move to this state all by myself, I would have never met these endearing friends. Do you have a heart and keen sense of Holy Spirit nudging you at times. If so, I celebrate you and keep going where He wants you to go. If you responded not so much, then I encourage you to sharpen that, and you will go on great adventure also.
