Do you ever have a day when it is God kissed from the rising of the sun to well after the sun sets? That was the day I had yesterday. Compliment from a co-worker at the start of the day on an outfit I wore to work (you know Holy Spirit shows me not just what to wear but what to buy too.) The other day I returned an expensive dress to a store because I didn't feel that I had to secure buttons on this dress because they were not sown on secure when the dress was made. It also had a worn out looking button hole for one of the buttons. It looked frayed. I took it back to the store and showed them where I secured the buttons with thread and the frayed looking button hole. Before I ever found a sales person I saw a cute pair of jeans with a double layer of flared ruffle at the bottom of the jeans. They caught my attention as they sat there on a counter. I found a sales clerk and they returned the dress for me with no problem at all. I was honest and did let them know I did wear the dress once when they asked me. I did get compliments on the dress but it was the principle with me. If I am paying $140.00 for a dress I should not have to sit down and darn/secure buttons on the dress to make sure they don't fall off and the button holes should not look frayed. Maybe I am wrong in thinking this but I thought to myself I would not be expected to have to do this sewing for a dress I paid even $25.00 for, do you agree? After I returned the dress I then went and tried on that pair of jeans. They fit and I purchased them. What a great surprise they were originally $78.00 I know me and I would not have paid that for them but I saw a reduced price of $27.30 and that I would pay. I get to the register and they were further reduced to $16.38. Bought them. You are thinking now to yourself why is she rambling on about this pair of jeans? Simple answer, that was part of the outfit I wore yesterday that I received compliments on.
I also received a compliment that night from an older gentleman at a local Bargain Hunt store. He and his wife of over 40+ years were shopping there. He complimented my outfit and began to tell me his wife wore colorful outfits like I was wearing when they first got married. I pulled my cart up closer to continue the conversation and he asked me where I was from (see I do not have at all a southern accent and told him from Ohio.) He knew someone form Ohio and paid a compliment to people that lived in Ohio. I told him the brief journey of me from Ohio to Atlanta to where I reside now to accept a job. He then of course asked a question of me since he knew where I worked at one time. It then led to further discussion and I was able to direct him and his wife to a website and what they need to look up and that would help them out this year. The story does not end there ……. I told him that he should tell his wife if she wears a colorful outfit he would take her out on a date. He then wants to introduce me to his wife and I meet her, I think her name was Carol (don't quote me on that for I do have to practice really learning a persons name when I meet them.) Such a lovely couple shopping together on a Friday evening. I just loved that this man wore they looked like farming overalls. I then told his wife the deal that if she wore a colorful outfit he would take her out on a date. Kind of brass and bold of me huh but that is the romantic heart I have in me along with a nudge from Holy Spirit egging me on too. See Holy Spirit loves true love doesn't He? He recognizes it in others too. So sometimes He prods us onto nudge another to remind them of that love they have in their heart for their spouse.
I thought I was writing about a song and a movie today? Oh well, this is how it goes with me. Oh most important of all. As I left work last night I was waiting at a stop sign to turn and right before me was a half rainbow in the sky and I heard the words "You are driving to destiny." Meaning the adventure I was about to embark upon that evening. There was no rain at all in the area and a literal half rainbow in the sky right before me and it stopped right where the middle of the rainbow would be.. A perfectly clear rainbow that I could see all the colors. It went from the bottom of the rainbow was on the right hand side and it stopped at the point where it was heading left. Hey guess what? I think it was pointing in the direction in which I was about to travel in. Destiny is all around this do you agree?
Ok back to the main story at hand here today. I was so happy when my mom updated me today that she did not see her hummingbirds for a few days and she was going to take down her hummingbird feeder today and then she saw one so she will not be taking it down today but keeping it up. She is so funny she said to me that maybe he is lost or his buddies took off without him. Isn't that funny?
Please listen to this song the words are beautiful. Then watch this movie if you can and have the time to. If you do not have time I want to share a phrase from one of the songs with you, "A rising moon for every falling star." Oh, on my journey back home last night I was listening to "I Have A Dream" and Holy Spirit nudged me to sing in tongues to that very melody, I did and also received the interpretation as I was getting off the highway at the exit ramp. He is so good do you agree?
You know what? This movie was made in 1954, 4 years before I was ever born but I was already a thought in God waiting for me to be born on this earth. This movie has a cast of Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, Dorothy Malone and Gig Young in it.
Thank You For The Music
