I had a pumpkin spiced donut mix that I was going to bake and see if it was any good. I recently gave the very same one as part of a birthday gift to my sister. I have to let her know it is worth making. I even made a few with dark chocolate chips added to the batter. I also picked up a door banner at Tuesday Morning while in Dalton, GA. It is interesting for there is a battery pack in the back and when you turn it on it lights up little areas in this door welcome. To me it looked a bit plain and it needed some creative touches. So it was wrinkled at first and I used my steamer to take out the wrinkles then onto creating. I have this beautiful yarn that has all the perfect colors designed for Fall. The original banner just had a brown sort of string where you would hang up the banner. I wrapped that with this yarn and then I had some Fall flowers I recently purchased I think from Tuesday Morning also but at a local one near where I reside. I actually bought them to use as part of the gift I gave to the church staff at the conference. I had some left over so I put it to good work so to speak. I saved have a few pieces for when I need to make up another gift.
I will show you both the muffins and the re-created banner for my front door. It actually goes on a green colored door which it looks much nicer than the white colored door in which I took the picture of it. I also displayed in the muffin picture the Stoneart marble pieces I purchased recently as gifts. They are so beautiful and I just love the concept that the marble is from mountains east of Ephesus, then brought to the USA and tumbled and artists then either paint or just place scripture verses on the marble. See the chiffon gift bags. I picked them up in Dalton, GA at the Tuesday Morning store. As you can see, I am a fan of shopping at Tuesday Morning. The only thing is if you see something you like do not hesitate just get it then and there. If you hesitate it will probably not be there the next time you go to the store. I think they stock the store with items they find and it may not always be there the next time. Does that make sense?
Notice the card also. That came from one of my children that gave it to me. It is a great reminder isn't it "You Bring Love To Life." I believe that card was for Mother's Day.
So on with the rest of my day yesterday. The day before I was set free from something I believe it was a curse/inner vow I placed upon myself years ago. There was a season in which I was not to eat certain foods and I would actually get a "religious" mind set when it came to this area in my life. I was pretty strict and I kept this up for several years. It was as though this religious spirit drove me in this arena. Well, the yoke/bondage was broken off of me at the prayer room of the gift shop and now I was tested to see if I would succumb to the familiar spirit or overcome it by the blood of the lamb and this very testimony.
Well, if I am sharing this, then you know I am sharing the testimony of this very thing. Weeks ago I would pass a Little Caesar's pizza place to and from church and would think a piece of their little sized pizza would be good. I would then fight the temptation and not even think of getting it and would say to myself I don't eat pizza. As I am getting prayed for this very thing comes to my mind. I guess I will be trying pizza in the near future. So, after being creative I hear Holy Spirit say go get some potato chips and no sooner then me hearing this a headache comes upon me. I don't get headaches per say and I start to feel a bit nauseous in my stomach. But I heard Holy Spirit nudge me in this. So I get in the car and off to the grocery store in search of this item. Let me tell you it was a true struggle going into the store and then down the snack aisle. I can only explain it like this, it was like I was doing something wrong in getting this item I found to be taboo to me for many years now. I then selected a smaller sized bag of potato chips and went home. I had dinner and had a few potato chips. I was fine and I did not succumb to the familiar spirit that wanted me to rebel.
See there is more to this story/testimony. I was shown this prior to being delivered Holy Spirit showed me in scripture Acts 10:11. Remember Peter was shown in the trance in which the sheet came down and he saw the unclean animals? That was the message for me that very day, "Nothing is unclean if God declares it to be clean" I am now on a mission to try to find Challah bread for me to try. Many years now I would only eat sourdough bread that was made without yeast or a Croatian flatbread that was made without yeast. Please know that on occasion throughout the years I may have had a taste or two of some of these items but felt terribly guilty afterwards so I would try to avoid them completely. I was a slave in some respects to this strict rule. I am now set free and truly learning to try to enjoy life again if that makes sense to you. Today is marketplace ministry day and I feel led to go to a church service that was recently added to their service schedule for a 4PM service. Let's see where Holy Spirit leads me ok.
