Holy Spirit Took Me In A Slightly Different Direction Today. Via Musical Production Songs. Romantic Type Of Love Songs For Married Couples That Is.

I know this is a bit stretching of my faith today. There are 2 musical productions that have touched my heart. You probably guessed "Mama Mia/Mama Mia Here We Go Again". I saw in person years ago in NYC the Broadway production of "Miss Saigon." There was a song way back when that touched my heart strings and it still does this very day. Let me share a bit of my world with you today if I may.
When I went to NYC years ago it was because I worked for Estee Lauder and our store counter earned this bonus as working as a team not on an individual basis that is. We each received 2 round trip airline tickets to anywhere in the 48 continental USA states. Did not include Alaska or Hawaii. I think I remember correctly we were also allowed to select a gift from a prize catalogue.
My reason in selecting NYC is because I wanted to explore high end department store Estee Lauder counters. My husband and I both went on this weekend trip. I must have had the gift of discernment of spirits in me way back then for I did not, if I can be honest with you all, like NYC at all. I can only describe it as a dark feeling place in which I had no desire to ever go back there again. Something just did not feel good about this place.
We went to go see "Miss Saigon" and we had reservations @ Tavern on the Green afterward. I got sick so we had to cancel that reservation. Besides seeing Estee Lauder counters I really did enjoy going to FAO Schwartz and I do believe we purchased something for each of our children there too.
Now, our son loved going to NYC and he went on a few trips with his Grandmother. He likes the big city experience. This is the child that lives practically in the heart of Atlanta, all the hustle and bustle that comes with it too. He does live where the city is definitely alive. I am learning to also get around in that part of town when I visit him. I do like staying at my sister's house for she is in the outer suburbs of Atlanta. See, when I lived there I tended to like the further outskirts of the Atlanta metro area like the Flowery Branch and Suwanee areas. I know I was in traffic a lot but getting away from the big city lights so to speak was what I sought to find solitude if that makes sense.
Onto my music selection if I may.
From "Mama Mia Here We Go Again" the song "Andante, Andante" is a beautiful love song for married couples. I had to look up the meaning of andante, it is a music term that means to perform in a moderately slow tempo.

This is my favorite song by far from "Miss Saigon". I loved it years ago and still love it. What a beautiful love song. Please know that this day ended up with me walking by the river singing a song to Holy Spirit about seeking Jesus to fill my soul with His love and to fill my soul up. I think I even did a twirl or two on my journey walking back. I love my journey's with Holy Spirit. See, He can even use tender love songs to woo you to draw closer to Him. He loves you do you love Him?

12. The Last Night of the World - Miss Saigon Original Cast

Found a picture or two from my NYC trip. Looks like it was in December, 1993. You can't really see it too good in the picture but this was one of my favorite coordinated outfits. I had a matching decorative scarf that matched the outfit that coordinated with the umbrella and suede purse and matching leather flat pair of shoes. The trench coat I am wearing was one of my favorites. Do you know why? It was whimsical yet stylish at the same time for it had polka dots as the pattern.
