Before I Met Friends Yesterday I Felt Nudged By Holy Spirit To Go To A Local Consignment Shop In Search Of The Right Dish/Pedestal To Present The 5" Cheesecake To A Co-Worker As A Gift. Found It!

Found the perfect pedestal to place a cheesecake on to present to a co-worker. I do not know if they will have a luncheon at work before she gets married. So, I decided to follow Holy Spirit inspiration to create a gift for her and her future husband to enjoy now. She loved my strawberry cake when I brought that in once so now she will get chocolate raspberry cheesecake to hopefully enjoy. I remember when I did wedding/event planning and how I would see the brides a few days before their wedding. I would always encourage them to just enjoy the days leading up to the wedding because everything always works out. I saw this scenario over and over again and each time everything worked out in regard to the wedding reception that is. So brides and future brides out there enjoy the days leading up to your wedding and do not fret or worry ok. Have fun in this momentous time in your life.
I had a few items when I went to seek counsel of the shop owner as to which one would work best. He measured each plate to see if the 5" cheesecake would fit on the plate. When I picked up the pedestal I noticed a screw type of object at the bottom and thought to myself is this supposed to attach to something else. He then shares with me without me even asking how they do not make pedestals like this anymore. The purpose of the screw is to attach the bottom portion to the top portion. Now that makes sense to me. I have had cake platters and nice crystal cake platters at that, that somehow the bottom portion disconnected from the top portion in which the cake is presented on. That was frustrating at the time so I get it. This particular cake pedestal will not disconnect. So, I now have the "Something old and something new" portion of the saying. I guess someone else will have to supply the bride with the portion "Something borrowed, something blue." You have heard the saying before right? If not, it goes like this "Something old something new something borrowed something blue."
How did it turn out? I am going to show you the pedestal first. Then the cheesecake and finally the wrapped gift if that is ok with you. When I took the one picture of the pedestal I noticed the stem portion of the pedestal was off center so I then loosened the screw mechanism and centered it. Why do they not make this type of pedestal anymore?
