This Is How Creativity Flows Through Me, Let Me Share.

quilling card that sparked creativity in me to learn to quill

I am wired like this. I see something that catches my eye and I think to myself I think I can learn how to do that. I just need that little spark of creative moment and then I am in search of learning how to do this. If I am only to make something just once in my life that is ok with me. I am not afraid to tackle a new project/experience. I saw this very card and all I needed was to see it twice and really look at it and then I was on a mission. I wanted to learn how to do this intriguing craft.
I sought out the tools and then I experimented. Let me tell you that you must have patience to create objects via quilling. I know because I did and I still have the tools/paper needed and it still sits all together neatly waiting for me to create or just put it aside since I created with it already.
That is how I am wired in the creative realm. Once my son bought me a necklace that I liked and I am of the personality that I like matching pieces to go with it to make it an ensemble when I wear it. I took the necklace with me and I was able to find earrings to match the style. I searched and searched several times and could not find a bracelet to go with the set. So I then went to a craft store and inquired as to how I would be able to create the same look for a bracelet. With talented and patient retail associates that worked at that store, they explained to me how to achieve it. Guess what, I did achieve it and I am glad that I can pick up a craft when I am drawn to the creative flow of it. This is a picture of a few pieces I made using quilling. I also made a cross and Christian symbol ichthys (fish.) I must share with you that quilling can be time consuming. I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist so if I attempt to make it and it doesn't look like the picture I will do it again. I will also share with you the necklace I received and in the same picture you will see the bracelet I made to compliment the necklace.
