These Few Days Are A Time Of Refreshing & Restoration For Me. Holy Spirit Spoke It And I Am Experiencing It Now.

I so enjoy the word spoken to me by Holy Spirit but I am really enjoying it being acted out in my life right now. Went to the movies with my sister yesterday. That was after a great church service. I then was able to bless the pastor with a copy of the cd Never Alone by James W. Goll. Yes, I was able to find and buy 4 $2.00 bills so their grandchildren got to be blessed also with a little treat money. Perfect timing I then returned home in time to go to a matinee with my sister and she even got popcorn in advance for us to have at the movie. We saw Act Two and there was a message in it. Do not give up on your dream because dreams do come true. That was my take away from seeing that movie. Today had a great time with my niece while getting manicures. I like color and I am not a person to wear matte type of polish. I went for a holiday red with sparkles in it. I love it, yes I do. I don't wear muted colors of clothing per say so I thought it was most appropriate to have fun, colorful polish on my nails. Yes indeed, I am not a wall flower as my personality so why would I be a wall flower when it comes to choosing a nail polish color right. Will attend a Christmas Eve church service and then Christmas dinner tomorrow.
Want to know what the main dishes are on the menu? Beef tenderloin and scalloped potatoes. Not just ordinary scalloped potatoes. I have a close relative that is a Food Network Chopped Champion that taught us this recipe. It has been a while since I made them so I wrote down what I thought the recipe was. I was obviously wrong because I received a phone call with the correct way to make them. Would you like to know how to make them? Use a mandolin if you have one to slice the potatoes very thin. Leave the skins on the potatoes but remember to wash the potatoes first ok. Toss them with salt and pepper and garlic powder if you want to add a garlic flavor to them. Also toss them with sliced thin that is onion. Place in baking dish and here is the item that makes them so very good...you pour heavy whipping cream to just before covering the potatoes. Do not cover the potatoes with the heavy whipping cream. Do not cover the baking dish then place in a 350 degree oven and bake them 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes however long it takes for them to be golden brown on top and when you put a knife into the center and it is tender. For beef tenderloin you only season it with salt and pepper.
I wanted to jokingly argue with this relative are you sure there is not butter in this recipe. No butter is in it ok. Good thing we have a great sense of humor both of us that we can kid around with things like this. Laughter is a great gift and does good for your soul and health too. I would have really botched this recipe because I thought I had to soak the potatoes in water first, I thought I was to add butter and layer the potatoes. I was way off base with my thoughts on this recipe. Funny, funny, funny. Yes, you can laugh too.
We plan on going ot see Mary Poppins Returns sometime. I look forward to this one also. Maybe because of nostalgia reasons. I like Mary Poppins the movie and I hear that this is a good movie also. Will keep you posted on if I liked it or not ok.
