I saw this recipe while searching for something else that caught my attention. When I usually see something, I tend to dismiss it but this time it intrigued me. Enough so that I started looking in my pantry for a flavored cake mix to try it out with. Well, needless to say I had to throw out about 3 box cake mixes I had because the best by dates were 2020 and 2019. So, I went to get a few updated cake mixes to replace the old ones. I selected dark chocolate flavor for this recipe. I then decided to add candy to the mix, so I purchased mini-M & M's and peanut butter M & M's. This is a simple cookie mix but you may need to have some patience while using it. You take a cake mix, a container of thawed cool whip, and 1 egg and mix it together. The cookie dough is a bit sticky in consistency, so I followed some of the suggestions I read by others that made this recipe. Put it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Use a cookie dough scoop and when you have the dough you then roll it in powdered sugar before baking it.
They suggested using strawberry or lemon cake mix but I was in the frame of mind to add candy to the mix. Now, I suppose I could have used either 1 of those flavors and mixed the cream cheese flavored baking chips in the dough but this time it was chocolate. I tried 2 of the cookies and they were pretty good. I distributed them to 2 neighbors and 1 bag is in my freezer to maybe take into work.
Remember the other day how I wanted to read a book I saw on the back cover of the book I just read. I called my friend to thank her for giving us each the book she gave to us. I shared how the book was biblically sound, and no fluff added to it. Even no special endorsements, forwards written by well-known ministers, just the book itself. She told me she had that book and had 2 copies of the book. She said she was going to mail the book to me. What a blessing tucked away in that day. I look forward to getting the book and reading it too. I received the book in the mail the other day. See, when you have important content in a book you are writing or about to write, there is no need to seek out others to get approval for your book. Holy Spirit knows what He is doing and needs no help from others to promote it. Why not try writing a book and publish without all the other fluff to sell the book okay. Furthermore, if these so-called friends. acquaintances, etc. actually read the books from cover to cover then why don't they let the author know prior to going to print that there may be a typo error or even a scripture verse typo reference before the manuscript goes to press so to speak. So, do you think these endorsement people just get a maybe synopsis sent to them of what the book is all about and that is how they write up their endorsement or do they actually receive a copy of the manuscript to actually read it first before writing up an endorsement? Great question to ponder on. Too bad I don't know an author to ask them this question. Maybe 1 day my question will be answered somehow.
As you can see via my blog. I have no official followers or anything like that and people somehow find the blog and read it. Do you think that just maybe Holy Spirit directs them to read it. Obviously, it is not because I have all these people endorsing it. Get the point. There must be some sort of reason Holy Spirit has me not wearing black onyx rings, a 2nd black onyx ring I was wearing the other day somehow during the course of the day fell off my middle finger and I discovered it was not on my hand as I was driving home that day. What do you think about black onyx. Remember when a few years ago I had my many years old black onyx ring with the gold scrolling design on the side and a smaller sized diamond in the center of the ring and I must have thrown it out by accident in the garbage? I then found an oval shaped black onyx with marcasite scattered around the ring and I bought it bigger to be able to wear on my middle finger. So, the other day I wore that ring and today I no longer have that ring. Throughout the years I have learned to not fret over things like that. Even though I did like that ring there were a few pieces of the small marcasite that fell out, but you would not notice it unless I pointed it out to you. Someone somewhere may have found themselves a ring the other day and who knows, maybe a blessing tucked within their day. There may be another place I lost it. I used the restroom @ Hobby Lobby and remembered using a paper towel after washing my hands and possibly it slipped off into the paper towel as I wiped my hands dry. I had the occasion to go back to Hobby Lobby the other day and when inquiring with management no one found the onyx ring. So, this is an indicator that there is something better out there waiting to replace that ring. I think I was drawn to that ring at the time because the marcasite reminded me of the ring, I sold years prior that had beautiful pave diamonds and I just loved the diamond glisten it added to the ring with that type of setting. Funny thing being is I haven't worn that particular ring in quite a while. That tended to be a ring I wore when wearing an outfit mainly consisting of black colors.
I was on a mission the other day @ Hobby Lobby in search of iron-on letters for a tee shirt project Holy Spirit and I are working on. I saw the vision of how to make this so now that I have all the items needed, I will make the tee shirt and begin to wear it to ministry type of events so the process can begin of the name of Jeff Jansen will be cleared and truth exposed by those that flat out lied. No more cover up and hoodwinking. The color shown to me is not even a color I tend to wear in my clothes selection. I have noticed maybe it is a coincidence but when there have been injustices done in a person's life the catch phrase is being used. I will take a picture when I complete this project. I just may take it to the gravesite and place it where the area was when I heard the words screaming from his grave that day JUSTICE, JUSTICE, JUSTICE. You all do realize I gain absolutely nothing from working on this Holy Spirit assignment, right? Stay tuned and let's see the hand of God exonerate this man of God and those that were guilty of this injustice be served their just rewards (just maybe they will repent and come forth speaking truth.) I have been conversing with people that were not even approached to hear what they experienced when walking with Jeff. Seems to be the people in charge of this situation minister wise I am speaking of made their choice to not even listen to the other side and made their choice by just listening to 1 side. Hum, pretty uneven justice I would suggest and that is at the hands of ministers within the church community. People repent while there still is time because if repentance does not take place God will expose evidence to clean up the sin sick filth within the church. We are seeing it happen and He will not stop until the church is made clean and ready to receive Jesus' return.
Back to the biscuit portion. At the end of the day Saturday, I wanted to stop by a local biscuit restaurant because I heard they are very good biscuits. I thought to myself let me bring some biscuits to my neighbors. It was near closing time for this establishment when I arrived. I did not need a dozen or even 1/2 dozen biscuits though. I then inquired of the price to just get 2 biscuits and the manager or possibly the owner worked with me. I first inquired if they made their own biscuits and even asked if it was the case where they thawed out frozen biscuits and baked them. He showed me the area where they make the biscuits fresh each day. So, he really doesn't give me a price and comes back to the counter with 2 containers. I shared how I was getting them to give to 2 neighbors and shared their ages with him. He said there was no charge since the one neighbor was going to be 98 years old. I kept saying to him I would pay for them, and he was really tender when realizing a neighbor was 98 years old. He shared how they made their own preserves also that come with the biscuit and butter.
I get home and then realize there were 2 biscuits in each container with butter and fresh preserves. One of the containers the preserve lid popped off and the preserves spilled out. These biscuits looked so good I just had to break down and try 1 and it was wonderful. I put some fresh tomato slice on the biscuit with a slice of organic white American cheese. I still had 3 biscuits left to share with neighbors and I did. The one neighbor said they had preserves so they gave their preserves for me to give to the other neighbor.
I highly recommend Maple Street Biscuits to you if you happen to be in Murfreesboro some time. Go and get a few biscuits and you will be totally glad that you did.
Here is the finished tee shirt I made:
I like to seek Holy Spirit scripture verses when I write. Today my bible was open up to what I read on 9/2/2013 and the gentle voice of Holy Spirit said to find what I read on my daughter's birthday that year just about 3 or 4 pages away. I would say this is pretty appropriate for the subject at hand today. Get your bible and read Jeremiah 7. My bible titles it as, "Judah Trusts the Wrong Things."
