May I Share My Selfish Reason I Just Made Chocolate Candies?

Yes, I must confess to you that the Merckens chocolate discs I bought from 4 Corners Bulk was becoming a tempter to me. I found myself wanting to nibble on some of them here and there and I just don't want to go back to those easy habits. So, I knew to make chocolate candies for friends/neighbors/co-workers to enjoy. I am telling you this I am not bragging I just know how to bake and be creative at the same time. I made 2 separate batches of chocolate candies. I have the mini muffin sized cute and some practical liners to use. The first batch I made was coconut almond. How did I know to make this combo? I saw it in a flash picture and the only problem was I had no coconut that was fresh and the best by date expired. I hated doing this, but I threw it away even though I did get it from my mother's pantry. I know she wouldn't have wanted me to bake with not the finest quality ingredients, so I went and bought a fresh bag of sweetened coconut. I knew I had too many chocolate discs to use in 1 flavor, so I then got creative again. This time I had some dried cherries and chopped pecans. When I mixed it with the pecans it needed some more consistency to not make them not mostly chocolate with a little ingredient to blend it out evenly. Light bulb idea what goes with dried cherries and pecans? Raisins so I blended raisins to the mix and that is how I came up with chocolate, cherry, raisin, pecan chocolate delights. I love being in a creative mode I really do. There are a few more things I want to do in my garden, and I am going to re-position my bird bath fountain so I can see it outside my kitchen window.

Few more plants to plant. Still waiting on my berry white hydrangea replacement plant along with my re-blooming pink lilac also. Gardening, baking, and even painting a windowsill is fun stuff to me. I think the rest of my peel and stick backsplashes are going to be delivered maybe today so I can then create again. Backsplashes to finish kitchen project then the 2 bathrooms by the sinks. Oh, did I tell you I love working on creative projects. How about you?
