I Found Myself Attending Free Chapel Gwinnett Campus In GA On Pentecost Sunday. It Was Amazing. Why Are There No Churches Alive & Vibrant Like This In TN? Or Maybe There Are & I Just Haven't Found Them Yet?

So, I went to Georgia for the weekend and stayed with my son and his cat, Ben.  There seemed to be this situation that the cat would jump on my stomach while sleeping and I could just not deal with that. Found a solution and it works. I bought a privacy type of trifold to block the entrance to the bedroom sort of like a barricade and I was able to sleep then. I left it there for the next time I happen to visit and not have to lug it with me. This time I rented a car from Enterprise, and it was a disaster. I ordered a mid-size SUV in advance and even stopped in the local branch to confirm the reservation and pick up time a couple of weeks ago about the SUV I ordered. Oh, I was not happy because I was on a timeline to get to an appointment by a set time in Atlanta. I was called around 7AM letting me know there was no SUV or car available for me that day. The assistant manager contacted the district manager and were working on getting me a vehicle. So, at first the rep tells me I will be hearing from the district manager with a phone call. I then get a phone call back from the rep and he tells me I will not be hearing from Bud; the district manager and he was to deal with it. So, they drive in a Cadillac for me to rent at the same price as the vehicle I ordered. So, there is no one else in the office @ Enterprise and my 9:30AM pick up has to be delayed until 10:30AM. They arrive and the gas tank is very low on gasoline. I said I cannot accept that car with nothing less than a full tank of gas because I was already behind on my travel schedule. They did fill it up with gasoline and I was thankful for that. They really did not show me the features on the car, and I had to wing it to figure it out. Very frustrating morning when it should have been smooth as silk because everything was ordered in advance. Some of you would say it was nice to drive a luxury car.

Here is my response to that. My father as we were growing up always and even when I was an adult saw my father drive a Cadillac and I said to myself one day I would have or drive a Cadillac. Sorry I ever thought that. This was an uncomfortable seat for driving. Every time you got close to something like my son's driveway is very narrow and each time I would come and go from there the driver seat makes some sort of vibration noise, effect and even with a cushion I brought to use when driving that vibration would go through. It was not just a noise I would describe it like a shock kind of sensation when this would activate and there was no way to shut this off. I even went to another enterprise while in Atlanta to trade it for a mid-size SUV and they had none available. They couldn't figure out how to turn off that feature either. So, I just dealt with it. My appointment was scheduled for 4:30PM and for the longest time it said eta was 4:19PM. Then the closer I got to Atlanta it showed arrival 4:38PM. I called them and they said it was okay. I don't like when things like this happen because I am a person of order and organization.

We had a nice time on Saturday, but we got caught up in the presidential motorcade backup traffic. Once heading to IKEA, we could see the highway shut down for the motorcade to drive through. We didn't plan it but the gps re-routing us actually had us drive past Morehouse College where he would be speaking at their commencement the next day. Then as we were heading back home the President ate at a local Southern style restaurant so all roads in the neighborhood were really backed up. At first, I thought it was a shooting or something like that, but a neighbor told us the President was eating in the area. We got home just fine. We then went to my sister and brothers-in-law home for dinner and visiting. that was nice.

The next day I got up and wanted to go to Free Chapel with Pastor Jentezen Franklin. I actually went to a campus in which the time I lived in GA and attended the main campus they opened up another campus and I went to that first or opening service they had there. I also volunteered 2 times at their youth Forward Conference as a greeter. It is also located in the same area, and I lived in Suwanee at one time also. You know, I drove past the street we lived on, and it was actually the rehab facility my mom drew her last breath here on earth and first in heaven was located on that same street but years after we moved. I walked many miles in that neighborhood and prayed in tongues as they were building that rehab location. Never did I realize that years later that would be my mother's final destination on her journey to be with Jesus. Never underestimate the power of prayers okay. God listens but also answers prayers. Bittersweet driving by I must admit. I went to Fresh Market and picked up a few items for me to make for dinner for us that night. I also purchased a few gardening items for me to help my son plant flowers in containers and a pair of pruning shears for him to trim back a tree by his deck. We did that Sunday afternoon and enjoyed dinner I made for us. He is most kind and indulged his mother as we watched the replay from Friday night of House of Worship with Marty Goetz. Ben, his cat, must have liked the worship because he sat between my son and I and fell asleep he was that relaxed.

I made a beef brisket with roasted carrots and brought that with me for us to enjoy also. All in all, it was a good trip it really was. Lesson learned, never ask or say you always wanted a Cadillac because when you get the chance to drive one it may be a disappointment. Good thing I was able to test drive one as a rental and not a purchase. Oh, they did give me a business card marked on the back for a free upgrade next time I rent from Enterprise, if in fact, there will be a next time.

God is so good and gracious to me. I heard Holy Spirit say to me to bring an extra 50.00 bill with me on this trip and I did. You know why? At Free Chapel, I placed it as an offering to go towards a youth's ticket To Forward Conference. That was one offering with the other being 5- $2.00 bills tucked in another envelope to give to Cherise & Pastor Franklin to bless their grandbabies with, to have some pocket spending money.

On the way home today, I stopped at Ingles grocery store to get a freshly made apple fritter for each of the 2 widows in the neighborhood. I also am unpacked with the laundry already done. I told you I like order and organization. I am preparing for a friend to come visit and we will meet for lunch with other friends also. I bought a little welcome to my home gift for her to enjoy on her visit.

Oh, family liked my new, snazzy boho style iridescent wire rim glasses. They really are fun to wear.

Oh, oh, oh I would be remise if I didn't share about the rich presence of God in worship and the preaching yesterday. I had tears, a big smile at times on my face and the glory shout snuck out of me with the overwhelming presence of God. I also heard Buc-cee's is supposed to have a great carwash. So, in route home I stopped at one to inquire. They are in the process of building one and it should be completed by August. It is adjacent to the Buc-cee's in northern Georgia.

You know you are in Georgia when you spot a Varsity restaurant. Don't they say what ya gonna have?

Pastor Franklin preached a great message on Leviathan spirit and concluded the service with washing the feet of one of the volunteers that has been assisting him for many years now without being paid to do so. That is humility in the works.
