I was at TJ Maxx right when the store opened today. I spoke with the manager and the items were returned along with the 39.99 item that was never wrung up yesterday along with the pair of earrings. I did ask him if he would contact the other store manager to let them know about the mix up. Thank God the dressing room was opened today because I tried on a few things. I found one item that is interesting, I think it is supposed to be a beach cover up of some sort, but I see it through the eyes of creativity. I am not quite sure, so I asked the person running the dressing room if it looked ok with a top underneath it. I told her to be honest with me even after she told me it looked fine. Then she said something pretty profound, "Don't doubt yourself." She is right, why do I tend to doubt myself sometimes when I have a flair for putting together outfits. Oh, I purchased the pearl earrings and when I got home, I cleaned them before putting them in my ear lobes. They have a tropical look to them and will go fine with this top. I already started to put together items in my wardrobe that will work with this new addition.
I had a good pair of fine quality pearl earring studs. I lost 1 of them a few years ago so this was my simple solution. At the time I was working at Cracker Barrel, so I had my employee discount. They had a cheapy pair of pearl earring studs I bought. I would chuckle sometimes when I would wear pearl earrings because I guess you probably could not figure out which one was authentic and the other not. I knew the difference because the good quality had a 14K yellow gold earring post. The other day I went to wear my pearl earrings and the actual post that goes in your ear lobe broke right off. I could have purchased another pair of pearl stud earrings, but I found a pair of pearl drop style earrings. I will not lose an earring post back and lose the earring because there is an enclosure so as to not lose the earrings.
Why was I doubting myself today to begin with? I did the just and honorable thing this morning with returning items not wrung up back to the store and then purchasing the one item, the earrings. See, God had a special surprise tucked in this journey today. I do love nail polish too. Found a new soft lilac color of nail polish. I had to get it when I saw the name of the color, "Purple Palazzo Pants" so me isn't it. I already polished my nails with it, and it is a soft, feminine color. Who said femininity went out of style, it will never go out of style? At least in my eyes it will not go out of style. God created woman to walk in and enjoy her femininity.
