It was last Saturday I felt led by Holy Spirit to go on an afternoon adventure. I accepted the offer and off I was heading o Manchester & Tullahoma. On this adventure I thought for sure I knew how to get to Ollie's Discount in Tullahoma from Manchester. Apparently not I found out. I was talking with a friend on Bluetooth while driving. I really did think I knew the way but in reality I missed a turn I should have made somewhere. We kept talking and then I noticed I was in North Coffee County and it did not look familiar to me. I drove past a local city church in which I did not recognize the city. At that point I shared with my friend that I think I needed to end the conversation and go into my waze app to get directions. I felt led to turn down a street then I pulled into a subdivision named "Heavenly." I then found out via the navigation app I drove 25 miles out of my way.
That was ok because I recognized divine appointment in this. I was definitely in a very hilly, mountainous rural area. Oh, time to speak forth declarations in the rural area of TN. There was a moment while driving and seeing such glorious mountains ahead of me that it reminded me of the times I used to get away from the city lights of Atlanta for the day and head to the North GA mountains. This reminded me of my drive to Cleveland, GA & Helen, GA. Also reminded me of the journeys I would take to Huntsville, AL when taking the scenic, country road route. It was quite comforting this drive and no frustration at all. It was a beautiful, sunny, Fall day to take a country drive. Do you think that 1 day I will have a retreat type of home in the hills but by a lake? I think that thought on occasion. A retreat place of refuge to enjoy and then share it with others that need a rest or retreat atmosphere also. My home furnishings could be put to good use in a setting of hospitality for those to be greeted for their time of rest. My time of refreshing too.
Back to my story now. I just love when I begin to think out loud do you like that quirky aspect of me? So, I have the rural mountains as my captive audience so I roll down the windows and start declaring as Holy Spirit shows me. Speak forth the word MAJESTY & then GLORY OF GOD. I did this several times. The GLORY shouts & the JESUS shouts came forth out of me a few times. I then eventually found my way to Ollie's but you know what? I do not think this adventure was all about going shopping it was divine order of events.
Call my friend; they answered the phone; we talk; I drive supposedly out of my way but did I really? No, divine destiny all about this trip. Come on now, who could orchestrate me stopping in a subdivision to get directions named "Heavenly!"
