The night before, well lets back this up a few more hours ok. On my lunch break I went to a local store in which I know they receive their truck with inventory. On the way there this thought comes to me that I really would like to go back to the store that is across the street from them to get the "Wedding Crasher" colored nail polish. I also wanted to get more fresh carnations also. I had pink/white carnations in the vase but you know what happens don't you? Each day I weed through them and pull out and discard the not so good looking ones and I do refresh the water and clean out the vase. The flowers sit on a counter in my kitchen so every time I am at the sink doing dishes I get a whiff of the sweet smell of the flowers. I was on limited time so I had to forgo that visit and get back to work.
Yesterday was a not so good day telework wise/connection. Programs kept slowing down and stopping. So it was almost the end of my shift and I followed protocol and informed a supervisor I was heading into the office to finish my work. It was ok because when this happens it really does allow me to fulfill in office duties I cannot do while I am working at home. Oh I got a bit off track sorry. I was talking about nail polish right? 2 nights ago it was after my shift was done and it was in the evening I get this thought, go to the store to see if they have bananas and if so that was the sign for me to also get more fresh carnations and the nail polish. As God is my witness I did pick up multi colored shades of pink carnations because the fresh flowers are located right as you walk in the store. Then a few feet away, banana section. Well, there was 1 banana left so I got it and off to search for the nail polish. They had it yay. I went home and ate the banana. I am looking at this nail polish and decide I cannot wear something named Wedding Crasher. Guess what comes to my mind? As I placed some of it on 2 nails to see if it really is that pretty I think this does not look worthy of that title so new name comes to me. I do not know why but it reminds me of the color of Dorothy's red ruby slippers/glass shoes. I call it now "Dorothy's red ruby shoes nail color." It really is pretty and I do believe this color needs to not only grace finger nails but toe nails also. It is getting close to sandal wearing season. I keep up the color not only on my nails but toe nails throughout the winter. I just like things looking nice, that is me.
I heard on the radio the other day 2 items people are seeming to buy more of now a days. Yeast and hair color. I guess they are baking bread @ home. I sure hope people know how to dye their own hair and not just getting out there experimenting, we could be seeing some vert interesting hair colors out there as a result, just joking about that. I am so thankful I know how to do this project. I mix 2 colors together to get the color I want to achieve. I usually mix a color called Bronze Shimmer. Out of stock so I thought to myself I will try a shade a little bit lighter to mix with the copper color called Crystal Brown. Let's see how it turns out. Remember months ago when I shared how Bargain Hunt had a good supply of the brand/color of copper I use when dying my hair? I bought lots of boxes I think maybe 12 or something like that. When I see that there it means it is probably going to be discontinued. Sure enough I have not seen that color in months on the shelves @ stores where I would normally buy it. I guess I had insight before the storm so to speak. So now I may have to adapt the color I mix in with it. My hairdresser just told me the other day how he liked the color of my hair. I was/am due for coloring and it tends to get lighter and less intense in color when it is at this point. He says it looks like a shade of strawberry, not quite as light as strawberry blonde but a softer version of my fiery copper color. So, using lighter shade of brown mixed may bring forth a nice color combination.
After work yesterday I went to a local garden center to purchase some of the local honey I love. I called in advance to see if they are still open. They are because they are agriculture and they sell food items in their gift shop. I was actually a bit shocked to see so many cars in the parking lot. I thought we were supposed to be safer at home mode? I went to the gift shop and purchased the honey and a better brand of seeds for flowers. I am not doing full patio of plants like I usually do this season because my intent is to move and it is too much hassle to transport tomato hanging baskets, etc. I have some patio pots and some potting soil so I will see how the flowers turn out via this method.
I am considered an essential person in the job I work so I was allowed out to drive to work and actually have a letter to present if I am questioned about being out driving. Again, I have been home a few days teleworking. From the last time I went into work and I was shocked at how much more traffic was on the highway compared to a few days ago. Instead of people following safer at home mandate it is like they are doing the reverse? I cannot worry about others just me. My children are so happy I decided to listen to their wisdom in regard to traveling for Easter.
Both of my children are blessed to be able to telework with their jobs. They are home and safe. My daughter shared with me that since she is at home she gets to see what the bunnies do during the day, sleep. Same with my son he shares his cats sleeps a lot during the day. My daughter does give her bunnies free time out of their pens during the day sometime. She has to give them their time separate because the 2 do not get along with each other when together. So, she sent me a picture that really made me laugh. Bun Bun hopped onto her desk chair and is standing on his hind legs actually looking at the computer. The picture she sent me looks like he is working at the computer.
Good thing I was dressed and ready to go as if I was getting dressed to actually go into the office yesterday because that is what I had to do in the end. Let me tell you this … when teleworking and the systems are not overloaded it works just great. When it slows down or programs stop doing what they are supposed to do, it is not so great. You have to be prepared in the event you have to actually go into the office. Welcome to my world right now as I adjust are you doing ok adjusting? I really do like having this exercise bike @ home, that was a great purchase for me and I am enjoying it. Sometimes simple things bring joy to me what about you?
Oh, as I was going through the carnations I found 2 pink and 1 ruby colored mini carnation I put in a tiny vase and it sits by my bed night stand. Take the beauty of fresh flowers into other rooms in your home ok. That brings a smile to my face when I walk in that room and see them waiting there just for me. See, that was an action I had to place in motion in order for it to happen.

I think this will bring a smile to your face. I was going through a few pictures I had and I took this picture several years ago while on a drive in the mountains of GA. It was a sign at an old, closed gas station. Gas was much higher back then and I took the picture because the sign prices for gas were so low. Who would have ever thought we would see those gasoline prices again in todays world. Well look what I found just the other day. Miracles do come true what are you believing for?
