I have been with family and had an awesome time sharing, fellowship and fun also. The other day when I was searching for a Crabb Family song that I posted I came across this Crabb Family song and thought it didn't go with what I was writing at the time. Maybe in hindsight it should have but I made the decision that it did not. Well, when you are with a person that is up in age it causes you to think about those that went before us and how they are enjoying the splendors of heaven. How you tend to long to see them again. We had a brief conversation about that and we even chuckled at wondering if my grandmother is baking up in heaven for the family that is already there and what she may be baking, what cake that is. I would like to think it was her Graham Cracker Cake but who knows.
I guess God does redeem the time if as a human you error like I did and did not publish the song the other day, He let me go after it again today. The special surprise tucked within the search today was finding the song by Judy Jacobs. Years ago I had this song and would play it loud in the car while driving because there is such "power" in her voice and the anointing on the words/song also. It was a favorite at the time of one of my children and we would play it several times while driving somewhere. As a mother I wish the children could be babies again at times but also as a mother I bless them and know that they are destined to fulfill in their lives what God created them to be and to do with their very lives. Many years ago I found a prayer on the way to pray for your children by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and I cut out the prayer and when it referenced a singular mention in the prayer of a child I added they, their etc. to allow me to pray it for my children (plural, not singular that is.) I taped it to the inside cover of my bible, let me share it with you today OK.
"Lord I love my children and I'm holding them before You right now. I see You holding them before You right now. I see You holding them in Your arms, ministering life and peace and comfort to them. Lord I realize that You love them far more than I ever could. And Father, I pray for the peace of God that passes all understanding to stand guard over their hearts and minds. Help them, Lord to be full of You, to know You, and worship You. And Father, help me see my children the way You see them. Help me love them with Your love." Amen, right Amen.
I have also prayed/read two of several books by Stormie Omartian. The two that are centered around praying for your children had titles reflecting the stages your children may have been in their lives. "The Power of a Praying Parent", "The Power of Praying For Your Adult Children." She even signed a copy of a book that is for grandparents and I gave that to my mother. I like her style/format of writing. She shares in the chapter what the subject is then closes that chapter with a prayer to lead you in.
