I am a firm believer in following Holy Spirit's lead when He nudges me to send a word of encouragement to someone. Trust and obey for it truly is the only way. I know I am thankful when I receive a timely word of encouragement because someone obeyed Holy Spirit's nudge to write to me with words of encouragement. I do believe that writing a hand written note is becoming a dying lost art. Do not let that happen ok. There is something so very sweet about a hand written note card. You took the time to sit down and pen the note. Now, there are times if I have a lot to say I will type up the main portion of the letter and try to tuck it in a card with some sort of hand writing incorporated into it. When Holy Spirit guides He also provides. Down to the last detail. Yes, that it right the last detail. Why do you think I have a variety of postage stamps? Not because I like collecting postage stamps. It is because I like coordinating the stamp with the note, theme or what coordinates with the card/envelope. Maybe that is just a ME thing. Maybe there are others that follow the same path.
Sending words of encouragement can be sent to a multitude of people. Family, friends, co-workers, people that touched your heart/life are some examples. Then, there is the special person that Holy Spirit puts upon your heart to bless. For me that was Fist Lady Melania Trump.
I believe I sent a card/note for her birthday, I have a favorite note card that I only had two of them left. I was saving them for the person that represented elegance so to speak. It is a Barbie Doll inspired formal dress on the front of the card. Here is a picture of the last one I have.

Now, I customized my note card to her. I received a note card in the mail weeks ago acknowledging that I sent a card to her. I had a challenging day at work yesterday and this was the note of encouragement I needed to receive. Perfect timing. I always get a happy face smile when I receive correspondence from The White House. I just love that they use fine quality note cards and even the envelopes are of fine quality. Read for yourself and see if you agree with the tender words that sure did touch my heart strings.

I also wrote to President Elect Donald Trump and then President Trump. I received beautiful notes in response. One was actually date stamped the night before I believe The Inauguration . The second note card I received, I found a picture frame and a matte and I keep this on my desk at work. I have also received two pictures that I have secured to a cabinet at my desk with pretty magnets I bought. When I look up and see the picture of Mr. & Mrs. Trump it reminds me to pray for them. Do you pray for our leaders in authority? I do. I must admit that I tend to pray for The President, his family, Cabinet and all those that surround him. I feel Holy Spirit nudge in this direction as opposed to local government officials. I am not opposed to praying for them, we will see if Holy Spirit expands my horizon.
Sometimes I may have a gift to send with a card of encouragement and it sits waiting for the right moment in time to pen a message and then off in the mail it goes. It really is timing, Holy Spirit timing.
Moral of this story...you never know whose life you touch with your kind words of encouragement and care. Flip side you never know who touched your life with a response from your kindness.
