I know her family and have been friends of her parents for many years now. So much so that when her mom happens to mention her daughters latest accomplishment it is in casual conversation. Not in a bragging way. I happened to catch her the other day as she was gathering items to take with her to greet her daughter at the end of her latest accomplishment. I was amazed at the fortitude and drive this young woman has, done in excellence too.
When her mom and I get together across the miles via phone we usually laugh about silly things and not too much share about our children's accomplishments unless it happens to enter our conversation. She is a true friend throughout the years. I often tell her that her husband and she raised this beautiful daughter in a right manner and it amazes me each time Katie takes on another feat and conquers it and also raises money for clean drinking water. Listen to this story it will encourage you. Her mom shared with me how when Katie was the youngest woman to row the Atlantic Ocean solo that on a day when she needed encouragement a group of dolphins began to swim around her. See, a mom that is in tune with her children will all of the sudden get a great idea to bless their child. So, she got I think it was dolphin balloons and hung them in trees in a city on the route Katie is running to remind her child that the dolphins are around her to encourage her to keep going on her journey. The run will be completed today as she ran across Ohio with running 31 miles each day. She will break a Guinness World Record when she accomplishes this today early this evening. The last record was for 10 days of ultra marathons and she will have completed 11 days of ultra marathons. Bravo Katie Spotz. Oh did I tell you she is also a member of the US Coast Guard. Too bad President Trump was still not the acting president of the USA for I just know he would have reached out to her as her Commander in Chief to celebrate the quality of a person serving in our armed forces do you agree. President Trump please run for President of the United States again we truly need your compassion, dedication and sharing the love you have for our great country. You will not let us be in harms way and you will do what you can to keep us safe and protected, you always did and I just know you will again do so. Thank you President Trump for your beautiful service you so graciously gave to our country. Land of the free, home of the brave.
I was walking the other day and captured 2 short videos. I found it fascinating that a turtle looked like it was resting in the water. I find it also fascinating that the water does not look murky this time of the year and that it was clear to see through when you looked at it. The second video was of a baby deer that another walker was telling me she thinks it lost its mother because she saw it twice looking for the mom. We both agreed that it is just a shame that they cut down the trees in this beautiful wooded area to build dwelling places. Man's greed at times robs nature of its dwelling place, just a thought. I trust you dwell in the secret hiding place with Holy Spirit. The safest and best place to be wherever you reside in the natural world.
My hero in the faith is Marybeth, the mom behind her daughter, Katie Spotz. I salute you dear, dear friend of mine and my family. Blessings to you always and forever.
