I reside in Tennessee and we already passed legislation (if I am not mistaken) to not have to change the clock times in the Fall & then again in the Spring. It is so annoying and then I cannot walk in the winter months outside due to it getting dark pretty early around here. There is no purpose to us remaining in this old fashioned mind set. Even though we as a state approved it we cannot honor it until the rest of the country does the same. I would love to see this changed, I truly would.
I am watching the 51st Dove Awards while writing and guess who won as the new artist of the year? I maybe saw something in the spirit before they ever premiered the show on TBN. We The Kingdom won and sure enough the song they showed, "Holy Water." Praise God from whom all blessings flow. You know the last 2 days I watched the National Prayer Summit and it touched my heart. I donated and then followed up with an email telling them how I was blessed. I requested if they could bring the Prayer Summit to Nashville. You have not because you ask not. I would love to worship with We The Kingdom, do you think they would allow me to praise with my rain stick?
I purchased the Power XL air fryer/grill combo and I am planning on trying it out today. You have until the end of January, 2021 to return it if you do not like it. It is a beautiful shade of red that I ordered. I am going to try a recipe for mac n cheese today. I have neighbors I can share it with and it lets me try out my version. I like some things from one recipe and then I will add my touches like sautéed onion and a bit of ground mustard too. It called for 1 quart of heavy cream. I think that is extreme so I will adapt it with half n half and 2% milk combo. I am going to switch it up in regard to the cheese the recipe calls for. You do not know if it works unless you try it. They call for cheddar cheese, I will mix a trio of cheddar cheeses along with white American cheese and maybe a tad bit of blue cheese what do you think. This recipe calls for me to slow cook it for 4 hours then change the lid to the air fryer and brown the top a bit. I will top it with more cheese and then toasted buttered bread crumbs before I brown the top.
Yesterday I was up early and in a creative mood. I hung more pictures on the walls. Went shopping and found the perfect accent lamp for the guest bedroom. Not only functional as a light but it has a charging station built inside to charge a device. I am a bit fussy when it comes to light bulbs, I tend to like the natural light versions. The guest bedroom tends to be a bit more chilly when the weather changes so I took down the window valances and hung up the light block out type of curtains. To keep the light, noise and extra cold out of the room. The valances will go back up in the warmer months. You know what, I think I really like this bedroom and I am considering switching back and forth when it is time to go to bed. I think that is a nice compliment that one decorates a room for others to enjoy and they truly like what they created. All done with a heart to bless others and they find they are getting blessed in the midst of it. Figure that out?
When in Hobby Lobby I was there on an assignment. Not only to take praise music into the store but to select items to create a wreath for the master bath. It needed a bit of something for one wall. Guess what, I assembled and created it last night while still listening to The National Prayer Summit. Creativity was released. In the dining room area I have a bit of my heritage reflected on 2 walls. One is a hand made lace design and the other a painting a parent from the Zagreb Tamburitzans created. This is years old and it reflects the Croatian family at the dinner table. Oddly enough, the costume reflects one similar worn as a member in this folk group.
Oh @ TJ Maxx I found one of my favorite brands, Muk Luks. I received a pair as a gift a few years ago and I have been searching for them ever since. Thank you TJ Maxx for supplying a wide variety of them and at a great price point too. My mom gave them to me so I not only bought a pair for me but a pair to bless her when she comes to visit. You know what I did yesterday? When I was drawing a bubble bath I felt Holy Spirit guide me to take 2 fresh eucalyptus leaves and add that to the bath experience. Oh my gosh, the scent of fresh eucalyptus is amazing. That is my update for now. Found out the extra family members will not be able to join us on Thanksgiving but will make a trip here to visit for a weekend in December. I think I like this hosting thing now that I have extra room to do so.
