Wow where did that come from? The event name has been known as Summerfest for Jesus but it is now the Fall season so maybe that could be reflected in the event name. A fleeting thought that just came to me. It was a cold night last night while sitting in the parking lot worshipping Jesus. I had on a warm top/jeans and my walking shoes plus my windbreaker too. I remember near the end tucking my hands into the sleeve of the windbreaker to warm up. I definitely put the heater on in the car heading home.
I was exhausted yesterday I really covered a lot of territory yesterday. I did errands and also setting up home stuff around the apartment. My son is coming for a visit and so I am busy like a bee getting ready. I am also getting ready for a family visit at Thanksgiving when I will be the hostess for dinner. Let me share something with you if I may. I keep telling my mom I am setting up her bedroom for the visit. I will no longer have the green color theme in my bedroom because I am making that the theme in the guest bedroom. She loves the color green and maybe that is why I tend to wear green too. No, I wear green along with other colors of clothing because those tend to be colors people tell me I look good wearing. Tidbit for you, listen to sincere compliments people give you for they are giving you a clue as to colors that look good on you. My room will go back to the peacock room. No silly, I do not have peacocks in my room but I do have 1 peacock feather as part of a bathroom floral arrangement I designed. Peacock is the name of the quilt set I purchased while working for Cracker Barrell. Even though it is a king sized quilt it drapes over the sides of the bed just right. The main color theme would be shades of teal.
Well the new bed was suppose to be assembled this morning until I received word that the handyman called out today. I want this bed set up and I spent the time last night going through all the parts and grouping them together to make it easier for the person setting up the bed. I ironed the bed skirt yesterday along with valances for that room and I re-arranged my book case to the other side of the room. That was a bit of a chore. What I did was remove the books from each shelf and laid them in order on the floor. I thought at first it was going to go in a certain place and when I moved it there I did not like the look. I scanned the room and thought what about the other side of the room catty corner and sure enough it works. I am about design and looking right so I actually had to move it and adjust it a few times before I placed the books back on the shelf. I watched an old Doris Day movie while in the room getting the bed parts organized, "With 6 You Get Eggroll."
Needless to say I was exhausted when I went to bed last ight and actually slept straight through the night. I woke up and thought to myself so that is what it is like sleeping through the night without interrupted sleep. I have a few more errands to do today with returning things. I also received an email from Russell Stover's and a recipe caught my attention. You know me if I see a recipe and it intrigues me I will at least try it once. Caramel Apple Peanut Brownies. I think I will be heading to the outlet store today to purchase the caramel apple milk chocolate with peanuts candy confections to make this recipe. My son loves when I bake brownies and he also likes caramels, what a confection treat I will make for him for his visit next weekend. Don't mom's love when the children come to visit, yes they do. At least this mom does and I will make dinner for us Friday night and then the Chihuly exhibit the next day with dinner out.
Like I said earlier, I was exhausted last night but I mustered up enough strength to go to Summerfest for Jesus. It was stellar. I was not familiar with Cain but I was after last night. I am even going to look up a video for you to hear the full version of the song clips I recorded. I like this family group and I especially like this song. I sing the chorus because I can witness to the truth in the words in my very life what about you? This resonates in me I just may have to go in search of getting a CD if they have one out there. Keep an eye on this up-in-coming group.
Rebecca St. James was also excellent. Did you know she is a local and she resides in Franklin, TN? She just had a baby 6 weeks ago and they named her River. Isn't that a beautiful name to give your baby girl? I think it is. She shared a great/recent testimony in her life and that really touched my heart strings. Saw Pastor Jackson as he walked by and he said bless you with a smile on his face and I also responded bless you to him with a smile on my face. Bless him Lord in a mighty strong way for his reaching out to the worship artists and blessing them and blessing the community. He is releasing the sounds of worship into the atmosphere as we all worship together under the stars in the sky.
