I was on the patio enjoying my breakfast and cup of coffee too and along comes the hummingbird to enjoy some nectar at the same time. I softly said to it we are having our breakfast together. I truly do enjoy simple moments in time as I recognize the hand of God twirling and working do you? Oh how could I not mention this yesterday when I wrote about the things I enjoy in my new dwelling place. A light comes on when you open the freezer, how fun is that. I am like a little child that has been set free to enjoy all the accessories I want in a store for my Barbie dolls. You know that feeling right. It is kind of like playing house as I put items in places in my new abode. That child like feeling when I find a place for items and then I place them there. I bubble up inside me for that hidden treasure spot for just that items or items I discovered with Holy Spirit creativity.
A friend and co-worker is just about to move to their new home. They will have a 3 car garage and she told me I could store my packing containers there. I asked her weeks ago if I should get or give her anything for this kindness and her response was maybe if Holy Spirit shows me to bless her with gluten free communion cup sets. I can do that because I know the place to go to get them. I remember just a few short days ago what you go through with getting ready to move. She told me she likes Italian food. I made my homemade meat spaghetti sauce and ricotta meatballs yesterday and I also prepared some rigatoni's and put aside for her enough for a couple of meals. She came last night to pick up some moving packing items and I gave it to her. I know she like chocolate chip cookies so I was on the hunt Sunday to find the chocolate chip brownie bars and Kroger's and Publix did not have them in stock for me to make. What's a gal to do in this situation? Publix had 3 to a container of smaller sized chocolate chip cookies with frosting in between 2 cookies and half was dipped in chocolate. That is what I bought. I have never given anything to someone that so very much appreciated what you just gave them like she did. She kept thanking me and then told me how good it was after she ate some at home. She does not like squash and squash and carrots finely grated go into this sauce. She asked for the recipe. I wanted to make a salad for her to take with her but she settled for a few Campari tomatoes to mix with her lettuce she had at home. She told me she likes cucumber and I was not to run out and buy cucumber for her either, we laughed.
With the thankful heart this woman has it reminds me of the thankful heart of Jesus each and every time you reach out your hands and arms in love and compassion to His people. Can you imagine even so much more when you lead a person to Jesus, wow I can only imagine. Reach out your hearts to people around you today and as you do seek Holy Spirit how you can bless them. It is not always a monetary gift or items given to another. Oh no, it is reaching them and extending the love of God to them through you. You are the broken vessel that was healed and you then can extend love and kindness to others. Celebrate where you are now in your life but do not forget the humble beginnings when Jesus captivated your heart and you invited Him in to your heart. Have a song of praise in your heart and then express it with action as you reach out to others to touch their hearts. See the good and beauty all around you and not the negative ok. Ask to see your surroundings through the eyes of Jesus and I will guarantee you it will be a beautiful scene placed before your very eyes.
