I get in these times or seasons in my life that I am stirred to work on creative type of things. I shared with you what I made yesterday. Now I share with you what I worked on today. May the blessing verses on the cards be a blessing to you. Oh my marketplace ministry was great today. I can only explain it like this, as I approach the entrance doors to this establishment the anointing turns on and I begin to smile and hospitality definitely kicks into action. There were several items at a great price point and all I need is an item or two and I share this with the guests. There were quilts at a really great price point. I know of one quilt that was purchased by a customer that I know of today. There could have been more sold that I was not aware of except...I bought a quilt with matching shams. Imagine a great price point to begin with and then add an additional employee discount and you would not believe the great value I purchased today. I do not know if I will keep it for myself or it can possibly be a gift for someone.
The other day I went into a resale shop in search of an old time magazine. This is the store that I found my Broadway cd of Mama Mia. I noticed these magazines the very first time I entered this store. Why? They reminded me of a happy time when I would go and visit Grandma and she would read this type of magazine on occasion. So I thought to myself get some to bless my mother with when I send her some creative Forever postage stamps. I found a lovely set of postage stamps that are the theme County & State Fairs. I really wish the USPS would create more stamps with beautiful flowers or lighthouses. It has been a while since they produced lighthouses. See, lighthouses reminds me of the city where I moved to after my divorce. We had a lighthouse at our city beach and it was nice living so close to one of the Great Lakes.
The bird card, I actually got out my paints and the main portion of that card I used paints then added a few sections with markers. I love creating. Oh by the way. I gave a generous piece of the Vinegar Pie to a person in the main office where I reside and the rest I brought into marketplace ministry for them to try. I am told it tastes a bit like a Chess Pie (I think that is what they call it.)
I must clarify this, I am not a painter or anything like that I just like to create and work on creative projects. I feel creativity worked on is then creativity released. You can't tell by the picture I took but I used pearlescent type of watercolor paints in the first card in the picture. It really does look much nicer in person.
One magazine was dated August, 1957. I was not even born yet. I didn't come forth until August, 1958. That magazine was only $0.25. The other magazine was dated July, 1968 and that magazine was only $0.35. Wow how things have increased in pricing since then.
