This Is A Good 1, Where I Reside, We Were Informed Yesterday That We Are Forced To Not Only Use But Pay 30.00 A Month Added To Rent For Valet Trash Removal.

The leasing office sent out an email announcing valet trash removal starting 1/1/2023. Mind you, we only received this news on 12/29/2023. Oddly enough it does not list the monthly fee the tenants are to pay. How do I know it is 30.00 a month? They finally released a few months' worth of water bills (August thru October) for us to pay, finally. I noticed the 5.00 trash removal fee was not listed on the water bill along with 3.00 pest control that were always listed on the bill. Pest control was still there but no trash removal fee listed. I went in the office to thank them for releasing water bills to us and then inquired that trash removal was not listed.

I was given the info via the assistant property manager. I inquired if we had the option to not participate and still take out trash to the compactor. I was told no to the inquiry. So, apparently it will be added onto your monthly rent. This is so ludicrous to only be told not even a week or 30 days prior notice that you will have to participate. I then sent a reply email inquiring why they did not list the monthly cost to the tenant and if it will be added to the water bill. Also asked if one did not want to basically sanitize the trash can and then store it in their apartment when it is  ot trach removal day. Of course, they will ignore that email and not respond. They tend to do this frequently. Residents who pay a premium to reside here are treated not as good, pay on time guests that choose to live here. Not some dead beats.

So, I just killed a spider in my apartment and will this trash removal stuff cause more critters to appear in apartments now. I quite honestly am very fussy about germs, and I do not think I should have to pay to sanitize my trash can that was touched and handled by others and who knows if they even sanitize their hands, gloves in between touching other trash cans. They should be sanitizing these for us with the hefty 30.00 a month fee we will be forced to pay. Quite honestly, I will not use this service and continue to take out my own trash. Why don't you get pest control taken care of before venturing out into other territories.
