Right off from the start I will share they were today in one respect or another. My daughter turns 36 today. A baby girl that did not want to come out of her momma on time. Literally, we waited, waited, waited some more. If she did not come forth that year before Labor Day the trip to the hospital was scheduled the next day to be induced. Well, being induced did nothing other than produce long in length labor pain contractions but not one after the other. There was time in between contractions. She really was many days overdue from the due date. 10 lbs. 3 1/2 ounces birth weight to be exact. A beauty born and remains a beauty. Only thing Pitocin did was cause the water to break and then from that point forward we only had so much time before a C-section took place.
I for some reason was in search of a recipe to bake for Rosh Hashanah and found one the other day. I tend to find recipes that sort of intrigue me. Apple cake and the finished product picture was pretty so that is what I just finished preparing today. It is in the oven baking while I write.
I woke today with Holy Spirit inspiring me to place an offering into a ministry on my daughters 36th birthday. In the message attached with the offering it somehow was a prophetic act in motion. So, I keep sensing to play Christmas music today on this beautiful, puffy cloud filled sky with sunshine day. I kept hearing the song, "Oh Christmas Tree." I searched through my Christmas music. I knew 1 thing, look at my "Speedway" gas station "Holiday Classics" CD's. I do wish Speedway would bring back this annual tradition where you could purchase a new one each year. The one did not have that particular song listed on the playlist. I had 1 of them without a CD jacket listing the songs on the CD. Play that one and as I was baking doesn't that song play. It is the song I played while baking and it is playing right now. I have it in "repeat" mode. Uh oh, just checked and I do have part of the CD container. Just not the front portion. It does list the song "Oh Christmas Tree" as part of the playlist. Sorry for the misinformation. Song still in "repeat" mode playing.
This is where it gets interesting. After I submitted the offering today Holy Spirit then shows me a correlation. Not full explanation at this time though. On my 63rd birthday a few weeks ago I placed another offering into this ministry. Are you seeing the picture yet? Now today 36th birthday. 63 in reverse number is 36. Only God could orchestrate these series of events. I do not sit around planning things like this. I am actually crying out to Jesus to come today because things are so backwards in our country right now.
See, all it takes is to follow Holy Spirit instruction. You step out with one step, then the next, next etc. Get it? Another recent example. I followed Holy Spirit direction to go here get this then go there. Take this route back to another store to pick up a few items the other store did not have. It was not about shopping it was all about timing. In the self serve checkout line I was next to a USA armed services person. Serving our country. I said excuse me and then thanked them for their service to our country and for keeping us safe. We both went about checking out until Holy Spirit nudged me to get out the only 2.00 bill I had left. I then gave it to them letting them know they are hard to find now and asked them to come back safely wherever they would go. At first they hesitated in taking the gift. I said it is ok to accept and then they accepted it and we went our separate ways.
Do you listen to Holy Spirit? Do you respond when He speaks? I have to clean up my patio garden today. Tomatoes are about done producing so I will remove those plants today. Carnation seeds I grew are still growing. Some littler one's I will then place in that planter and see if they will grow having more space. Honeysuckle is growing great, I will prune that back in a few weeks for the winter months. Hibiscus looks like it is done producing those beautiful blooms. Hummingbirds are pretty active now. Getting ready for their southbound trip for the winter. A neighbor shared the other day that they fly to the Gulf Coast and rest a bit before heading to Mexico. They also shared how . shrimp boats on the Gulf put hummingbird either feeders or perches on the top of the boats for the hummingbirds to rest there before their journey further south. They then showed me a video of a relative that has acres of land and they had about 4 hummingbird feeders in the trees. There were hummingbirds everywhere it seemed. I think they said there were about 12 that would visit at this location.
You know I sometimes sit on the green lawn area where I live and read books. I guess some people know that I pray. So far I have had 2 people ask me to pray for them. I'm of the nature that if they ask for prayer I pray right then and there with them there. I am currently reading a recently published book by Jim Bakker. I am enjoying the insight within the pages of this book.

| Rosh Hashanah Apple Cake. The recipe said you could either bake in a regular pan or springform pan. I chose springform pan, it is a little more decorative when serving. I liked decorating with the apple slices on top instead of the fruit being on the bottom. |
