I Give What I Have & That Will Be.

What is she talking about? You know how much I love flowers right? The 2 Easter lily plants are already starting to bloom as they sit on a coffee table in my living room. I catch a whiff of their fragrant scent on and off. I was going to go out and buy 2 more to give away today until …….
Holy Spirit speaks to my heart early this morning to give away what I already have, so that is what I will do today. He will show me the very 2 people to bless them with hope and beauty @ Easter time.
If you value and treasure something far more than the giver of the gift (which is God) and hang onto it because of its worth and value to you, then you missed the point of the gift given to you by God. Do you get it? In these times of staying at home and not being able to be with family for Easter dinner it may be a bit of a challenge. I should be in GA right now and already made my favorite stops along the way in the journey to get there. I would already be up by now and probably doing what I am doing right now, writing. Probably sharing with you all about some great adventure or person I met on my journey there. My brother-in-law would soon be getting ready to make his weekly Saturday pancakes for all to enjoy. Those that are eating pancakes that is in the house. I would have already said hello to my family and we gave our hugs to each other. I was going to bring little Easter gifts and they would have been passed out. I actually sent them in the mail and they received them. I know I would have been deciding today which butter cream frosting to make to frost the banana nut cake we would enjoy amongst other great desserts too. In which I have not been eating but still enjoy making for others. I would have already had my dose of seeing Zoey, their adorable mini golden doodle puppy and playing with her. She is 2 parts poodle so not a huge growing dog from what I understand. Did you know their local vet took a picture of her when they groomed her and she was the star in their newsletter, they included her photo. She really is adorable. I know I would have already asked her "Where are the angels" to see her response and then I would have told her to go and play with the angels.
With Good Friday being a meatless tradition in my mom's Catholic faith we would have saved the corned beef snacking for today. They already had the ingredients for me to make the Reuben dip to enjoy. I never actually met the latest addition to the family in person yet, celebrating her first Easter. I did send a little book for her in the package. Then most of all, the family fellowship as we sat together to celebrate Easter dinner. So many times they ask me to say the prayer and then there is someone that will jokingly say don't make it too long of a prayer. Hey sometimes it is shorter than other times. I let Holy Spirit hand feed me the words needed in that very moment for those gathered around the table and I just am the vessel to bring them forth. You know sometimes I may say back at the request that it is another persons time to pray the prayer. I listen to Holy Spirit in that direction too. Oh my as I am sitting here typing this I can catch a sweet fragrant whiff of the Easter lily plants.
Why am I sharing all of this with you today? Simple response to you. We are giving up things in our lives during this time of stretching. Did you ever consider the greatest gift God the Father gave up in His life so we would be with Him for all eternity if you chose to so be. He gave His only begotten son to the world so we would experience the love of the Father magnified through Jesus. What a love, what a great love. I can honestly say I do not know anyone that I can think of that would lay down their very life so I would be able to live my life. I love my family and friends deeply but I just do not know if anyone of them would suffer and die a cruel death on a cross just for me. I am not saying that in a flippant way either. Do you know anyone in your circle of family and friends that would do the same as Jesus did? If you do then kudos to you. Guessing and thinking this one or that one may do that is a lot different then someone actually doing what Jesus did for you. Just for you.
When you look at it in that perspective it truly causes you to have a humbleness to your life and a grateful heart. Recently, I watched a live session and in this they shared communion. Meaning they each had their communion elements along with the viewers having theirs. We all took communion together. I have been doing daily communion in my home for many days now. When I take the cup of juice I usually thank Jesus for the blood He shed so we are healed by the blood shed by Him. It was referred to as the cup of blessing, that resonated with me and I now add that to my daily communion prayer. I even shared that with someone yesterday when speaking with them on the phone. I have a few more communion sets left but I think it may be a great time to go to the local Christian store to get a few more. See, I called in advance to see if they will be open and they are considered essential business since they also do funerals and provide communion. May have limited store hours but worth the drive to get a few of the newer version communion sets. So much easier to open compared to the traditional ones they may distribute in church.
If I did not share this with you, you probably would not know I just took a pause break. You may be curious as to why. I just completed a Holy Spirit journey within this very journey. He had me find gift bags to fit the plants size and then compose words of encouragement in a note card to give with the plants. One is going to a neighbor; the other to the leasing staff to bring some Easter  joy to their office. I believe my work is now done here this morning what do you think? You experienced sort of a journey within this very journey today. Thoughts being placed into motion/action with Holy Spirit inspiration. After I conclude, then I will send an encouraging word and thanks to a friend that we prayed together yesterday on and off again throughout our conversation. Remember when 2 or 3 gather He is in our midst. You do not have to be in person for this to happen it can happen via the phone and even social media. It is breakfast time now. Do you know what is really good to add to scrambled eggs? Cayenne pepper, sliced fresh sautéed garlic and sometimes I will also add caraway seeds and a little cheddar cheese too.

Do you think she remembers how I taught her to go down the stairs? This picture I used a treat to coach her down the stairs.
