Finished Reading Another Book. How Do You Think My Strawberry Cake Turned Out, Do You Like The Way I Wrapped This Gift Too?

I made the strawberry cake for a luncheon at work today 6/6/19. I tweaked the frosting recipe and I like it much better than the original recipe I made. Think of a cream cheese/butter cream frosting with strawberry in it. My mom suggested to me to try using strawberry preserves in the recipe instead of just finely chopped fresh strawberries. I did but found it still needed something else added to it. I added a few chopped fresh strawberries and it seemed to be just the touch it needed.
Well, I guess it was a hit at work for there was none left over, it all went. I had people stop at my desk today to tell me how good it was. See, when your intent is to bless others somehow you tend to get blessed also.
Do you like the cake plate I used? Read the words it is so endearing. I listened to Vera Lynn's music today and how appropriate since it was the 75th anniversary of D Day. How blessed we are as a nation in the USA that we have those that serve and did serve our country to protect our freedom. Never take that for granted. Each day they serve or did serve in the military they place their very lives on the line to protect us and to protect our freedom. Never take that for granted and be mindful to thank a current member of the military or a veteran for their service to our country. I do when the opportunity presents itself to me.
I liked listening to this song this morning by Vera Lynn, "As Time Goes By." They just don't seem to make music like this anymore what do you think? I also like the next song too.
