I call my bank to let them know what happened and in the midst of the phone conversation I ran out of minutes on my phone. Yep, I sure did but I was still composed and went and bought more minutes for my phone to be able to call back the bank. I thought at first how odd it was for the bank to hang up with me before we did what needed to be done in regard to this bank card. When I initially tried to call back, that is when I found out there were no more minutes left on my phone. So I now have minutes added to my phone and I get through to the bank and business was dealt with and handled.
As all of this begins to take place after the event happens you then begin to doubt yourself a bit until....Holy Spirit steps in and causes the wrong thoughts to be the actual right thoughts. See, He reminded me of something very valuable. I planted a seed offering just last night into a ministry and the first thought the enemy tried to plant in my mind was that the ministry was not good soil to plant the seed. That was cut off swiftly by Holy Spirit who interjected into my thoughts with this for me...you planted a seed into good soil and it was the seed planting that caused me to go to the grocery store and not just head home. Well, if I would have not gone to the grocery store I would not have discovered my card was missing and it could have been not so good of an outcome for me in the long run. The ministry in which I planted a seed offering is the most rich, choicest soil that there is. I see fruit come forth and the evidence of that fruit in a powerful way.
Lesson learned...follow Holy Spirit direction when He tells you to plant a seed in faith and where to plant the seed is just as important. He sees ahead further than I ever could see what was right around the corner. That wasn't even the best part of this story/journey/adventure yet. I knew one thing for sure and that you all probably know right now. What do you think? Get to church and worship. I meet my friend and the group I thought I was going to worship with was at all the other services this weekend. I find myself in a training class overview for a small group meetings to take place in homes in the area. I chuckled about this and stayed to support my friend that did sign up to host one of these meetings in their home. There was a great worship song we sang I will try to find it to share with you. So as I am sitting there and I did volunteer to help my friend that will be the facilitator of the meeting. See how God worked out something the enemy meant for evil and turned it around to allow me the gracious opportunity to participate in a home group meeting?
We prayed together after the meeting and I prayed for wisdom for my friend and to show my friend the people that will be invited to this and to seek Holy Spirit for the day of the week. We already saw a few people to invite. Oddly enough, so far they are people I used to work with when I worked in that quaint city a few years ago. Yep, I moved to this state with knowing no one, to a job in which I began friendships that continued to grow even after I left my position with this organization. So the very quaint city in which I worked before, my friend resides in and that is the very city in which Holy Spirit will fall upon the lives and touch the very people that attend this. God is good, God is faithful and God is fun too. Yes, being a Christian is fun and that is a very good thing. Amazing isn't it. To go from an incident and God turns it around in a very short period of time to bring forth home group ministry participation. I am there as a support to my friend and I see this already as a great ministry opportunity opening up for my friend to share Jesus with co-workers. I did say I would bake or bring appetizers or something like that. You know I have thought this thought to myself several times before, I should just move to this quaint city/location since my friends reside there. All in God's time. See, this quaint community has a higher cost of living then living in the outskirts of this community. Let's see what God does ok. He knows what it would take for me to move to this location and let's let Him make the way.
Here's the song I enjoyed singing in worship this evening. "When We All Get To Heaven."
