Lexus I Love The New Billboard. Very Refreshing To See. Let Me Tell You About My Brief Ride In A White Lexus...
"Command Performance" caught my attention. I believe it is a sales event that ends the end of March. When it appears to be a drab day while driving it was so refreshing to see such a light in the drab day. For some reason there have been a lot of gloomy or cloudy days than I care to experience. I do not mind cold weather if the sun is out, it is experiencing a warm day with clouds or rain that I just do not enjoy. We have had a lot of rain which means we should have a beautiful Spring with lush flowers and blooms etc. Weeks ago I already started to see cherry blossoms bloomed on trees and daffodilss are up already. I think that is earlier than usual.
Now, onto my Lexus brief drive story. I went to a wedding a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a second marriage for a lovely couple that found love through the leading of God. God brought them together and I so much enjoyed seeing a Christian couple say their vows. It was in a quaint and small church and they wrote their own wedding vows. This is a great point to share with someone that may be so inclined to write their own wedding vows but may be nervous is memorizing them to state at the altar. You write the vows and then give a copy to the minister and the minister will state that the couple wrote their own vows and then he/she states them and the individual repeats after the minister what they wrote. Wow that sure does take the pressure off of the couple to stand up there at the altar and have to concentrate so hard that they have to remember them out of memory. I like that idea a lot. Creativity flowing from your heart as you write them and then only having to repeat what you already wrote.
This is now a blended family and I also liked this idea that incorporated all the children. It is the unity candle. One child lit a candle and then the next one came and lit their candle off of the flame of the first child then the first child placed their candle in the candelabra. Once the last child lit their candle then the couple came together and lit their candles of of the flames of the candles the children lit and then they lit the unity candle together. Here is another idea I heard recently from another future bride that will be combining families too. When it is a destination wedding ceremony on a beach you may not be able to light unity candles for the breeze may blow them out. There is something out there known as unity sand. I like this idea in concept. I would have to see it to get a visual idea of what it looked like. Each one in the family adds sand to their holder and it becomes the unity sand. I wonder if you could take colored sand and each one gets their favorite color and sort of makes a sand art design with the way it is placed in the vessel. Just a thought. That would be a great reminder to all when they pass by it wherever you would display it in the home. I also heard of this concept too. It is a salt covenant. It was originally to be done by a couple in the wedding ceremony where each places salt in a pouch so it is the concept that once you add your individual salt to the salt already in the pouch that you blend together you cannot pick out the salt that you placed in the pouch for it blends all together once you release it. I think that you place it into salt already in the pouch. This would be my take on it. The blended family each puts a pinch of salt into a salt pouch that already has some salt in it and this is how I would see it...the salt already in the pouch represents the covenant with God and then each one adds their salt to the pouch and it becomes not only a husband/wife covenant with God but the children from each family now become a part of this covenant with God. I like that idea a lot I really do.
Well, I arrived just as the bride was entering into the vestibule to get ready to walk down the aisle. The doors to the sanctuary were closed and it was a very small vestibule. Good thing another lady and I were there because we got to fan out her train so it looked nice as she walked down the aisle. Just before the doors were about to open for her to walk down the aisle she said What do I do? I softly whispered breathe and smile. I do not know if she did that because we could not be seated until she walked down the aisle.
She kept reminding me in advance of her wedding that she was going to make sure I caught the bouquet and I kept telling her I do not stand up to catch bouquets that just is not me. Even before she was about to throw her bouquet she sent someone to remind me to get in the crowd to catch the bouquet. I declined. I did happen to be standing by to watch and she threw it right to a lady next to me that was married and she was not going to catch it and it fell to the ground and another woman picked it up. I got the better deal in this event. When they were taking down the decorations at the end of the wedding someone asked me if I would like the fresh flowers from the arrangements on the tables. Now, if you know me at all you know I would have said yes because I like to make floral arrangements when I have fresh flowers. I really did get the better deal with the amount of flowers I went home with instead of a toss away bouquet. You see I do not put me trust in catching a bouquet but trust God with His plan for me.
I made a beautiful arrangement with tall, white gladiola's and hydrangea stems. Picture this, a tall glass vase with the gladiolas in the center and the hydrangeas surrounding them below them. I was told the hydrangeas would help support the gladiolas in the arrangement. I also made a ribbon design that was on the outer part of the vase so it was not plain looking.
Now, onto the portion of my ride in the Lexus. My hands and arms were full with all the flowers and I had to walk down a flight of concrete steps to the parking area with high heels on. Might have been a bit of a balancing act since I could not hold onto the rail since my hands were full. A couple I sat with offered to give me a ride to my car. I accepted and was able to sit in the back seat of their Lexus. It was a white Lexus and it was not one of the smaller sized models. I do not know what the style was but let me tell you it was a most comfortable back seat. I base a comfortable sitting car if the back seat is comfortable then I just know the front seat will be comfortable too. I have found this to be in the cars I have purchased. It was not a long range ride but it was a comfortable ride to my car.
Lexus, again, you should get an award for your billboard signs. Is there such a thing as "Grammy" awards for ingenious billboards? If so you should get one because your advertisement is always fresh and innovative. I really would like to see an electronic billboard sign with a car in driving action. Until then keep on creating those great billboard signs. May your sales event be a huge success for you the month of March.
