Are You Paying A Fee To Live In A Gated Community? Do Further Investigation To Verify That It Truly Is A Gated Community.
I know you may not be paying an actual fee for this luxury but I am sure there is a hidden cost somewhere to allow you this luxury/security measure right? There are actual places out there that advertise as a "gated community" but in reality if you further investigate that may not be the case at all. Yes, there are some properties out there that are actual gated communties and they do just what they said they would do. A gate is around the entire property. Others, they advertise as so and when you tour the property you see gates that are placed in strategic places, so the one touring the property is made to think that it is so. Upon further investigation once you move to the property you find that there is not a gate surrounding the entire property. Be wise and ask pertinent questions, ask to see the gate throughout the property. Ask if the gate goes beyond what you are able to see on the property tour. Is there a wooded lot on the property or does it abut to another property and if so is there a gate where the property line ends? Are there tall slopes or hills? Even though they may be sloped and high up is there an actual gate at the top of that hill? If the answer is no to those questions then you are not living in a gated community. Anyone can walk through woods and climb down a hill if they really wanted to get into the property. You know there are such things as streets beyond the property and people that can access your property if they wanted to by climbing down a hill or walking through the woods.
I am sure that someone would even climb a gate if they wanted to get in that property bad enough right? I guess I do not want you to be deceived and talked into moving to a gated community when in fact it gives the appearance of safety with the gate that opens/closes when you enter or leave the community and strategic gates placed along the tour route while visiting the property. Ask question, pertinent questions. If you are already living in a supposed gated community then ask why you are paying for this security feature and in fact it is not that. See what their response is and then warn others so they do not fall for it.
