Billboards Capture My Attention. Great Advertising Tool While Sitting In Traffic On Major Highways. Let Me Share 3 That I Like.

When you are sitting in traffic on a major highway it is a great marketing tool to capture the attention of those on the same road while waiting for traffic to move along. You can even notice them while slowly crawling along on the highway. I am not particularly fond of the electronic one's that keep changing the advertisement. There is not enough time to allow one to think about the ad. It is there and then changes to another ad by the time you are starting to absorb the current ad.
Three ads have captured my attention lately. Lexus has a new car and the picture of it (the side profile) it is really a sleek, nice looking car. I think it is an ad for a hybrid car. Very nice looking car that has a sporty look to it too. It would cause me to look at this car in person if I were seeking a new car just by the picture of the car placed on the billboard. I do apologize for the language this man chooses to use to describe this car. I do not condone his choice of words at times, I have no control of another person's choice of words. I thought this was the best video ( of the choices out there) to describe this car.

Have you seen the updated billboard signs for Cracker Barrel lately? I am not sure if this is a national or regional campaign advertisement. They changed the look of their advertisement and there is something about it that is warm and inviting. This softer, warm, advertising just may cause one to think about going to their restaurant. Very good advertisement Cracker Barrel. Your marketing director should get applause for painting the highways with such nice signage. Here's an example of this new advertisement, not the best picture but you get the idea right.
It says Hand Rolled Biscuits and a picture of just that, biscuits.

The third sign that captures my attention is by Audi. They are the one's that have 4 rings connected together as part of their logo/symbol right? This sign causes me to strain to see the name of the car I think it is A8 or something like that. The ad actually shows the bright lights that come on, the lights below the headlights. It is a great sign but the small print is a bit too small. It causes one to have to really concentrate on looking to see what it is in reference to. What captures your attention is the bright light that actually does just that on the sign. I will tell you this, since I saw that sign I look for Audi cars now to see those bright lights below the headlights because it is such a sleek looking light that distinguishes their cars from other cars, This must be something newer, not all Audi's have this feature when I pass one by.

You see billboards are not a dying medium for advertisement. I would guess that major metropolitan  areas really do benefit from this form of advertisement.

While in traffic the other day Holy Spirit gave me a little gold nugget:

Healing
Others
Pleases
Emmanuel

I received this one at home:

Taking
Rest
Under
Someone else's
Teaching
