Open Your Eyes, Ears, & Spirit For Opportunities To Bless & Plant Seeds

Another awesome day today. God is faithful. He looks for a willing heart and a spirit that will move with His movement. I went about my day and throughout my days journey I was blessed to plant seeds into the lives of others and also for others.

I met a woman and when we struck up a conversation she shared with me that she had to work on a community project. I inquired of it thinking she was going to tell me a bazaar or something of that nature. I was taken aback when she shared with me what it was. A young person was killed in an automobile accident and they were trying to raise money to help the family with funeral expenses, etc. This was a person in their early twenty's. All I had in my purse was $1.00 and I asked her if I could place it as part of the collection to bless the family. I went to the car to get the money.

I told her the story of my brother that died when he was 22 years old. I shared briefly with her. When I got back and gave her the $1.00 she came over and hugged me she thought I could use a hug and asked me how long ago was it that he died. I told her I was 17 then and now I am 51 years old. It seems to fade a bit as the years go on but it really never goes away. It was good to get that hug. When I left there I had to drive a bit to get to another destination and while I was on the country type of roads along with my praise music on I began to cry and pray for that family. It welled up in me that the father/mother/siblings/ etc. may have never had the chance to hug their family member goodbye that day. Even as I am writing this I have tears in my eyes. Lord, please bring healing and comfort to this family. If you have children don't let this day go by without hugging them and telling them that you love them. Even if you have a stubborn child and it appears that they don't receive the words given to them in love still hug them and say the words. When you say those words you are speaking life to them and into their lives. Tell them that they are a blessing to you and your life became enriched the very day they were born into your family. Lord I ask you to touch homes this very evening or day (depending on where you live.) and bless families. Keep them safe and protected. Let Your light shine forth so bright in the parents that the children will hunger for that light and want nothing less than the light of Christ. Give them peace and endue them with power from on high to fulfill all that they are called to do with their lives. Amen.

At the end of the day I was given another opportunity to plant a seed. I knew that this was very good soil to plant an offering into because they preach the gospel over the airwaves. At that moment in time the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart to plant this on behalf of a family. I did.

As I close, I rejoice in knowing the Lord and that we have the comforter given to us to comfort us but to also be a comforter to others. Remember, go and hug your children.
