Yesterday afternoon later in the afternoon I had to pick up one of my children from the airport. I knew of the traffic backup problem @ this airport when I dropped one of my children off for departure flights in October. That was pathetic then the long line that started once you got off the highway for that exit. I had no idea that I would be experiencing the same problem going to the arrivals exit off of the highway. Why can you not alleviate this traffic mess with hiring traffic directing personnel. This is not a complicated thing to resolve. Get physical people at busy times at the airport to direct the traffic flow. You know, like when a traffic light is malfunctioning, they then place officers at the intersection to direct the traffic flow. How hard is it for you to be pro-active to alleviate this very big problem. My GPS said I would arrive there by 4:17pm and I was sitting on the highway just to get off the highway and then you have to merge once off the exit, and it is quite pathetic the line you are sitting in, and it is moving very, very slow. I sat there in traffic, and it was 4:45pm when I actually got to the arrival area to pick up my child. Then, we literally sat in the same traffic jam problem trying to get out of the airport to the highway. Put a traffic director out there to control the traffic. Better yet, you have to be making lots of money @ this airport with the amount of people I see coming and going so put that money to good use. Pay extra dollars to speed up your construction projects so the construction is done faster and more expedient to get this done once and for all. Instead of seeing this or that road closed with barriers up, traffic lights not working, etc.
This is not rocket science and if I, being a woman, can see how to solve this problem then what are the high salary executives doing to work out this problem. Maybe fire them and say we do not need your services anymore and hire women that think with sensibility to solve this problem that you created. Get the job done so we can enjoy visiting with family/friends and not have to sit in traffic either picking them up or dropping them off. I have a credit voucher for an airline I really do not want to use it until this airport gets fixed. Why should anyone that is local have to consider staying overnight at a hotel so as to not have to deal with this traffic backup the day of travel. FIX THIS BAD TRAFFIC FLOW PROBLEM okay.
They travelled here from GA, and they said there was no traffic problems/traffic jams at that very large airport they flew out of like we just experienced.
